This week I'm looking back on the best in sex and sexy stuff in 2010 and asking my readers to weigh in using the comment tools below. These five women in adult enternainment made a lot of headlines here and elsewhere in 2010:
Tori Black
1. Tori Black. Everyone in the adult entertainment industry seems to have agreed on one thing this year: Tori Black was the performer of the year, sweeping the 2010 AVN Awards2010 XBIZ Awards2010 X-Rated Critics Organization XRCO Awards, and 2010 Fans of Adult Media Entertainment (F.A.M.E.) Awards. She's since followed it up with many other films, some of them nominated for awards at the 2011 AVN Awards and 2011 XBIZ Awards, where she could also repeat as Performer of the Year. My favorite Tori Black performance in 2010 saw her channeling Halle Berry, Michelle Pfeiffer, Lee Meriwether, Julie Newmar, and Eartha Kitt all at once as Catwoman in Batman XXX: A Porn Parody, from director Axel Braun. The superhero suit seems to suit her: She also starred in Mile High Media's Wonder Woman XXXparody and Elegant Angel's Pornstar Superheroes. Next up? She'll co-host the 2011 AVN Awards ceremony on January 8 at the Palms Casino Resort's Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas with Riley Steele.

Sasha Grey
2. Sasha Grey. My 2009 Awards pick for Porn Star of the Year spent 2010 redefining "post-porn." She started out the year giving the keynote address at the 2010 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo and unveiling a new "Too Much Sex Can Be a Bad Thing" campaign for PETA urging pet owners to have their cats and dogs spayed or neutered. In March she appeared in 9 to 5: Days In Porn, director Jens Hoffman's documentary look at the workaday lives of porn stars. In July she popped up on HBO's Entourage, playing herself as Vincent Chase's new flame and reminding the world what a gloriously unshaved bush looks like, then repeated the reminder with a full nude pictorial asPlayboy's October 2010 cover girl. And this week she'll host the New Year's Eve party at the The Catalina Hotel and Beach Club in South Beach, Florida, then jet up to Atlantic City to DJ the Pool After Dark party at Harrah's Resort on New Year's Day. Watch for more from the crossover sensation in 2011: Grey is working on music projects with her band aTelecine and as an in-demand club DJ, Vice Books will release her photography debutNeü Sex on February 15, and she'll follow up her 2009 role in Steven Soderbergh's The Girlfriend Experiencewith Hollywood turns in I Melt With You, The Girl From the Naked Eye, and Skinny Dip (and, presumably, a return toEntourage).

Lupe Fuentes
3. Lupe Fuentes. One of my most popular articles in 2010? The story of Lupe Fuentes' trip to Puerto Rico in April to vindicate a man charged with posession of child pornography. The 4'9, 79-pound porn star looks younger than she is, but she was indeed 19 years old when the films in question were made, and, after he spent two months in jail on the charges, her testimony on behalf of the accused helped spare him a 20 year maximum prison sentence, won the hearts of Howard Stern's fans (she's become a regular guest on his show), and sent lots of traffic and interesting comments my way. Fuentes' career is very much  on the rise: In June she won the Miss XFANZ Summer Pageant where she also picked up anXFANZ Award for Latina Star of the Year (Fuentes was born in Columbia and raised in Spain before coming to the United States to pursue a career in adult entertainment). She signed on as a contract star with Wicked Pictures in 2010 and, predictably enough, her first major starring role is in director Brad Armstrong's retelling of Lolita. For more on Fuentes' story, check out my interview with her boyfriend/manager Evan Seinfeld, the bassist for Biohazard and now a porn star in his own right.

Madison Young
4. Madison Young. Can pornography be feminist? Can a feminist be a pornographer? And what if she's really into being tied up? Questions like these riled up my readers this year when I reported on the Stop Porn Culture: International Anti-Pornography Conference in Boston in June: It was the single most commented-on article on the Relationships channel here at Examiner.com in 2010, and my readers seem about equally split: They either really love porn or really hate it, or else hate to love it or love to hate it, sometimes all at once. Those same questions are very much at the center of Madison Young's work, as executive director of the Femina Potens gallery in San Francisco and as a performer and director who writes, on her extrememly NSFW website MadisonBound.com, "I‘m a feminist. But I am one of the world’s kinkiest feminists... I’m aggressive in my sex whether I’m on top or on bottom. I love art sex, psychological sex, being pushed to my limits, exploring my boundaries and being there as others explore theirs." Art sex indeed: Young won Best Bisexual Film honors at the 2010 Feminist Porn Awards in April forFluid: Men Redifining Sexuality (Reel Queer Productions) and engaged audiences in discussions about BDSM, empowerment, and the interesections of pleasure and pain with an ongoing series of performance art events in New York, San Francisco, and elsewhere. She also tackled POV porn in 2010, grabbing the traditional "male gaze" perspective by the horns and making it her own in films like Ciao Bella: A Woman's POVHeartland: A Woman's POV, and Lucky: A Woman's POV. And, pregnant herself for much of 2010, she also directedPregnant With Desire, in which four women and their partners help make the case that pregnancy is "one of women's ultimate sexual experiences." Looking to begin some art sex explorations of your own? I like the list ofMadison Young's Top Picks for sexy toys, books, and lubes at GoodVibes.com, one of my Top 5 picks for Sex Shop of the Year. Next up? Catch her perfomance and presentation at Naughty Nibbles: A Taste of the Art of Restraint at Mission Control in San Francisco on January 7.

Ryan Keely
5. Ryan Keely. One of the most interesting conversations I had all year was with Ryan Keely, a Penthouse Pet, adult film star, and Penthouse Forum advice columnist who thinks that you ought to be on any list of the Top 5 people having the hottest sex in any given year. She's traveling the country giving a series of Porn Star Sex Lifeworkshops for individuals and couples looking to make their real life sex lives as steamy as their porn-inspired fantasies, and it's a point worth emphasizing here at the end of this list: Porn may have its place in our lives and in our sexual fantasies, but it never measures up to the best real-life relationships and it should never replace in-the-flesh, flesh-on-flesh relationships. Make it a resolution in 2011 to actually have the sex you've been fantasizing about.
