NEW MOVIE TRAILER : NIKKI'S BLANK CANVAS

A Blank Canvas : Cheesecake Studios : Nikki Arlington.

One of the stand out movies of 2012 was "Sketched" by Nikki Arlington. presenting Second Life in brand new looks and styling, introducing a great way of conveying a story too on video, in the comic book style, with quite stunning results. Sketched did exactly as it should for a land mark movie, it inspired and changed how some approach movie making. I know i was inspired myself!

Nikki's new offering here "A Blank Canvas" i think is one of those moments when an artist gets inspired and just has to get it all down as soon as possible and get their ideas into action. I hope this production goes into full swing ASAP! Because Nikki is in full on creative mode, and mixed with her amazing technical skill, that is the best news possible for us viewers.

Sketched looked, well, "Sketched" as it was meant to be. From the trailer here we see a more rich looking image, looking more like a heavily stylised animated movie, or a really beautiful painting in oils. The more you watch it, the more you appreciate it, the lighting is just lovely, the editing an art form in itself. Trailer editing is something that really has to be mastered to be presented so well.

I'm very happy to see Nikki back, always sad to see her go. She's a good friend, and at least while she's here she puts some smiles on faces, and leaves these wonderful, inspired creations for us.

Now a Press release from Nikki's Cheesecake Studio....

Nik Arlington's CheeseCake Studios has returned: This is a short trailer as to an ART project in SL. It is of an adult and graphic nature, but it is always in good taste.

aBC explores the living dream, some philosophical questions about our online impossibilities we fulfill while acting on behalf of our tangible digital selves. This is a movie about the surreal universe that we live in and claim to control while we're awake. It's an interesting concept, to dream while the mind is still conscious- is that what we're doing here? Are we really in control? Can the dream turn into a truly terrifying nightmare? Some argue it can, several of us have had experiences we wish we could forget here, and others of us have found our prayers answered. The point is it always comes at a cost, everybody has a price they must pay in order to live a dream. Thank you for all your loyal support (those of you who have).

Written and Directed by: Nikki Arlington Cast: Auden Aeon Mckenzie Alex Serenity Juneberry Arwen Juneberry Emmanuelle Jameson Deelite Zenovska Nik Arlington And many others Special Thanks: Lumipro (Red)Mint WarmAnimations Yes... I have returned to the dream, at least for now. Muah muah.

Watch the trailer after the jump!!!
