My friend Eddi Haskell is pretty smart about SL. He's made 7 predictions for 2012.

And he's pretty accurate. You can read his 2011 Predictions here. He wasn't too far off on most.

Here's a great review via Eddi Haskell about the new Niran viewer. Maybe it will make up for Kirtsten's going away. This one seems to be like Kirsten's because it is designed for photography - which SL adult directors can really appreciate!

Just be careful it's not officially approved by Linden Labs yet. And there is a version 1.2 that should be coming out soon.

THE PORNSTAR AND THE HORSE

Ok this is kind of a sweet story. My friend Eddi haskell invited me to his friends Jared and Kelly's farm for a surprise.

It turns out they raise horses and Eddi asked them to name one of the new baby horses after ME!!!

So I got to meet the horse named EMANUELLE. She is a very pretty Red Walker and Jared and Kelly tell me she's already old enough to have babies of her own. So she's going to meet a stud named JAGO this week. (Pets are like there owners).

Apparently this is a hobby for people on SL. And some horses here have gone for over 150,000 Lindens!! It seems EMANUELLE has some nice traits and I hope her babies turn out even nicer.

Thanks Jared and Kelly for some fun with animals. And thanks to Eddi for naming her after me!

The person who suggested my name, my good friend Eddi Haskell, is turning 4 today on Second Life.
Besides helping get me out of trouble with the Lindens and saving this blog, he's just been a good friend.

BREAKING NEWS: Blue Mars to Close?

This giant turtle did not attack Blue Mars. But it did get some bad news today.

According to my friend Eddi Haskell's blog the other big virtual world, Blue Mars, looks like it is all but closing up shop.

In a major announcement, Jim Sink, CEO of Avatar Reality, has announced that major development work will be suspended on the PC client version of Blue Mars and restricted to bug fixes, for the foreseeable future.

It looks like they will still leave things up and maybe work on some mobile stuff, but the CEO announced he and lot of the team would be leaving the company today.

This is really surprsising to me. I've seen a lot of blogging and momentum about Blue Mars and how great it looked. You can see the realism in the pic up above. Sorry to anyone who worked at Blue Mars or put a lot of time into it.

Two Anniversaries Today For Eddi

Today is the 2nd ANNIVERSARY of EDDI HASKELL'S BLOG. It's a great blog with a lot of insights to SL. I know I get a lot of news and links to it.

And he's also celebrating his 2nd Anniversary with his partner Jago. So again, our congrats on that.
Here's the info to his party. It promises to be a fun event.

SL RUMORS: Microsoft taking over SL???

Our friend Eddi Haskell has an interesting take on the latest SL rumors of Microsoft buying or bought Second Life, following the surprise announcement that PHIL LINDEN is stepping down.

Who knows if it's true. Really, it's all just rumors. But I try to pass the juicy ones on!
