A new month, and new magazines populate the virtual newstands! We are always happy on the Pornstars blog to give coverage to publications who have strong ties with the world of adult entertainment and the personalities of this scene (IM me for details anytime). And the most consistent for well over a year has certainly been SL Connoisseur in the person of his owner and publisher Edvard Taurion.

Suki is one sultry beauty and a perfect Pet of the Month for Cheryl to shoot!

Houses, boats...and boat houses! Well what a way to combine the best of two worlds then! Jokes aside, SL Connoisseur is an important magazine for our community with its lifestyle mag ambitions: together with the valuable shopping tips promotes something to me even more valuable: the talent and skill of its staffers. The work done by the people who committed to this monthly effort is remarkable, as the magazine operates with the criteria of efficiency and professionality that have been the trademark of Edvard Taurion in his blogging career.

Edvard illustrates several products through the magazine, with the level of professionalism he has built his name on.

So, a big praise to Cheryl Reddevil for her Pet of the Month pictorial featuring the always beautiful Suki (Masuki Silvansky), to the cover artist Eva Brunswick for her feature of Tatiana Easterwood, to Lesley Aristocrat who brings quality photography on top of her always sexy and cute presence in the interviews, to Midnight Darkness for her sim coverage, and of course to Onisa Lundquist, party dj and long term fashion editor - her article this month feature one of the most popular designers in SL and a personal favourite of mine! - plus the precise work by Kristina Deschanel both editing the magazine and taking the pictures for the release party. Uh-uh, because....

There IS going to be a release party, as you can imagine! Edvard has been having fun with those, and it's always amusing to look at your partygoer self stare at you from the magazine pages. Onisa will bring her tunes and her sexy voice, Ed, Kristina and the others will be there, and so...You will have to be there! A lot about our 'business' is based on self-promotion and being proactive, so if I were you I would not miss the opportunity !  So be at the party Tuesday 4th, starting at 11 AM SLT!

The eye-candy that a magazine of this demographic has to provide is always delivered through a quality centerfold. I should say, centerfolds, because the magazine is not just about the girl who ends on the cover, but also about the Pet of the Month. These are in a way the photoshoots I look forward to the most, as they often showcase real gems of models who get a chance to put some good photos in their portfolio. It's the case of Osiris LeShelle! The fact that this month again the photography comes from my big photo crush Cheryl Reddevil is just added value!

Lesley had a solid debut in her first article - who would think that caterpillars can be fashion statements?

Cheryl was an inspired addition to the SL Connoisseur family, and the magazine manages to keep a regular schedule with new contributors this issue as well. The new faces include a new 'sim girl' by the name of Midnight Darkness, and a name that I knew would make an impact in our community having witnessed the multiple shoots she has been part of, and having admired her helpful attitude and professionalism on set of (yet another!) alien movie I was involved in. I am talking about Leslie Aristocrat, who completes the roundup of the fashion reporters together with the beautiful and silky voiced Onisa Lundquist. New material from Edvard, new erotic story - one blissful idyll at the sauna for Laura Richards and Severina - and the covergirl for this issue, photographed by Eva Brunswick. Rhiannon Skinstad has consistently been a friend of the porn world and a memorable model in photoshoots, so it was a pleasure to see her bring her sexy curves to the centerfold!

As usual, SL Connoisseur will have a party for this release. You know all the "hey , parties are good to meet people, photographers" talk? Well for sure this party will improve your chances to be in a new issue, and I am not just talking about the fact that you WILL for sure be in the party photos that will open April's issue! Awww it's February! We are headed towards Valentine's Day. To the joy of some and the gagging sounds of many others! So all the singles out there, let's brace ourselves for what's coming and dive into this latest issue of...

It's a full fledged Valentine issue, all hearts and cupids and cuteness! How else could have been, though. It's SL and there's no room for a Grinch on xmas, or for hatin' on the couples on V-day! And this issue does everything to be likeable, starting with that cheeky intro by Ed...

For sure this is the biggest news about the magazine. There is a new Executive Photography Editor in this issue, and it's a name pleasantly familiar to those who have been following porn and these pages in particular. Eva Brunswick is the covergirl and centerfold of this issue, and her debut in the role upholds the very high standard the magazine had from its inception thanks to the talents of Cream.

Pet of the month n°1, Murderdolls24 (or 29, I am losing count!)

Eva needs no presentation, but neither do the other new and exciting contributors, showcasing their talents as photographers as well as their beauties. Who are the two new Editors of the issue? One is the long term pornstars from Crimea, Murderdolls: I had the chance to work with her in the past and her enthusiasm and positive attitude make me look forward to see her in this new role. Her photography in this shoot captures quite well her trademark ritzy styling.

Don't look at the bear, I haven't hidden any camera in its left eye, what are you talking about?

The other Pet of the month is someone I'd happily take as my pet, or pet her all day (and night) long and...well, ok this is a rather creepy way to look at it, I apologize! But I do unapologetically love Cheryl Reddevil's look and photography, and I am thrilled to see her being part of the SL Connoisseur team with one exclusive shoot.

With a cupid like Kayla, keeping focused on your date might be extra difficult!

As it happens with any team united for a common goal especially in SL, there are times when RL and various committments take over, and this marks the last issue with Kayla Bombastic's travel diaries. It's sad for me to report it, and she gets to give a heartfelt goodbye in her last piece. Kayla, who already matured magazine experience before showing a knack for organization and writing, has been a contributor for 6 issues of the mag and filled in big shoes for a very important role, and passes the torch already in this issue to Danielle Mannequin.

 As we many times pointed out, SL Connoisseur is built from the experience of a SL businessman, aka Edvard Taurion. The magazine does its duty of showcasing fashion thanks to Onisa Lundquist's features and Edvard's interviews, supported by Kristina Deschanel's photography and magazine editing skills.

Party people of the new year! Will you bring your Valentine to the new party?

The party, complete with an exclusive item for you to win on the raffle will take place as it's now tradition this Thursday after the magazine realease. The Sexiest® Awards..Congrats!

Another year in the books! I wanted to take this time to thank some people. Emma and Serenity for starters, for asking me to be head judge.. it was a great honor for me.  I want to then thank the people i picked for my judging crew. Alexus Minotaur, Arnno Planer, Cleopatra Kellman, Hard Rust, Jodi Morane, Katina Cazalet, Raelin, Scooby Mode, Sparkle Hallard.. if you know or see any of these people they need a round of applause for all their hard work and  time watching all the movies and looking at photos etc. 

Next i wanted to congratulate EVERYONE who sent a application in. You are all winners and do wonderful work. I was pleased to see such a big mix of old faces and new ones to go through and judge on. It just goes to show that the SL porn industry will never die :) So kudos to all and congrats to the nominee's for making it that far... and to the winners for your exceptional work!

My thoughts...the photography was great and  shows how in porn we can be erotic and glamorous too. So for those that don't want to get too down and dirty... being nude and glamorous is good too! or vice versa...;) So whether your a photographer or model.. get to those porn parties.. meet others, post pics, get peoples opinions ( don't worry if people don't comment in group chat when you post a notice or flickr link...sometimes we all just get busy) , but most of all.. have fun!!

...Movies..if you are or have been a movie maker or thinking of being one.. YAY! Movies are the one thing in porn i never tried doing.. i left Thor  to doing that job for me. I applaud anyone who has made movies tho.. it is alot of work!!  I had a great time watching them all. I would say for any tips to pass on, is do what your comfortable doing.. experiment  find something that works for you.  As Emma put it for what we judged for movies, is it can be a minute or it can be a hour. So we AREN'T looking at length.. for a winner. We look at the technique and story line..and the character of the story and of course we need the sexiness,whether explicit or sensual. If you can hit all that... well ..we hope to see your name then next year.

Again i just want to say .. most of all.. is have fun!! Enjoy SL and the Porn ..and have fun working on your content for next year.

and now thank you to all for the support, I am sorry i couldn't make it to the awards.. RL has had me tied down a bit lately..and needing to lay low a while with porn...not for sure if or when/long..

This weekend, THE SEXIEST® AWARDS!

Yes indeed! It has been quite a bumpy ride, but finally this year sees its edition of the 'Official' Sexiest Awards!

The Sexiest® Awards has been such an integral part of the pornstars community for years. Having a 'big time' show mirroring the Real Life Academy Awards helped to create attention and a sense of purpose, something to look out for, a 'scene' to be part of. Helped putting the 'star', in Pornstar.

And that's why Emmanuelle Jameson brings them back every year, and why it would have been a shame if RL got in the way to the point of turning the delay into a complete no-show.

Now, there are THREE things that you should know about The Sexiest Awards, coming straight from Emma.

1 - THEY ARE ACTUALLY HAPPENING.

Duh? Well, we have been burned before. But people have been booked, invites have been sent. This time, it's on. No matter what.

Head Judge Eva Brunswick put the show on the road doing all be boring and difficult parts! Thank you Eva!

2 - THIS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

The awards are meant to celebrate the community and need to reflect ( I could say....photograph) the current state of the industry. Last year saw the debut of photography categories in an award born around a film-centered scene. This year, for the first time, Photography gets also is own show.

Saturday 27th will be dedicated to the Photo categories, Sunday 28 it's time for the Movies.

Two shows means also two red carpets, and two after-parties. In fact, it will be two evenings of great celebration with the Pornstars, as parties will happen after each ceremony, at the Awards venue, and continue into our normal party schedule, the SL Porn Party with DJ Zoey and Leannan Saturday, the Erotique party with DJ Yana Sunday.

3 - AND YOU ARE INVITED!

Having two separate shows has a very welcome advantage. SL has limitations, and in the past with nominees for a dozen categories plus the staff, it was impossible to plan a signicant number of people not directly involved in the event to attend it. There have been raffles for a couple 'tickets', a couple last minute opening, but that was it.
This year, the load for the sim can be distributed better having two shows, and for the first time it's possible to open the door for the ceremony to more Sexiest Pornstars group members.

So, if you want to attend Saturday or Sunday's party, IM the organizer Emmanuelle Jameson ( TheEmmanuelleJameson Resident), who will check out the seats avalaibility and hopefully give you one of the free invites left.

Just remember, for the actual ceremony: dress sharply (it IS our Oscars, after all !), and to keep lag to a minimum there's a scripts limit of THIRTY. You have time to plan your outfit, i can tell you it's not that hard at all. Most mesh bodies have less than 10 scripts overall. You won't need your genitals, your huds, and it's time for you to kill the scripts of your bling jewelry or hair or anything else that makes your scripts count skyrocket. So put on a little more than Sere did in the photo above, please!

Keep in mind, the Red Carpet starts as 10 AM SLT, official photos will be taken, and the show begins at 11 AM SLT.

Afterparties are open to everyone, but if you want to be at the actual show, be photographed, be seen, play the role of the big time star at the Oscars, here's your chance to get a ticket to it.

The 2015 Sexiest Awards Show : Dates Confirmed!

Hello everyone, The Sexiest Awards show will be two shows: June 27 and June 28. It will be the Photography on the 27th and Film on the 28th.

Those dates are set.

They WILL NOT CHANGE. I believe that it will be a great show as always. But even if we just chat a list of winning names IT WILL HAPPEN.

My apologies to everyone who has waited so long. Unfortunately several RL issues caused the delay.. And I am truly sorry for any hardships those delays caused. But get those low script dresses and tuxes ready and let's have a great event.

Sexiest® Awards News!

 Hi all.

I'd like to put the records straight, as i know many believe i am an organizer of The Sexiest Awards or something to do with it. I'm not, i run The Pornstars Blog, and own the Pornstars Group. As the Awards are relevant to our group, i blogged coverage and news passed to me by the event organizers here.

I was head judge 2 years ago, but have zero involvement in organizing the event this time around. I told the organizers way back at the start of this process i could not be part of it. I know nothing about what's happening, or when the awards may actually happen. I'm sorry but i can't help anybody asking where their invites are etc, I'm as much in the dark as all of you. If i get passed info i will blog it, and send notices to my Pornstars group members.

Eva has more involvement in the awards as head judge, but it appears she does not know anything either, as she's also not directly involved in the planning of the event. Emmanuelle Jameson seems to be away in RL unfortunately, so none of us going directly to the source is able to get any type of up to date information.

Any of our Blog team will post here with any coverage they can. However none of us are linked to this event officially, and like me carry no blame for lack of information or news.

The Sexiest® Awards 2015 : Will Take Place On April 25th and 26th

This years Sexiest® Awards shows will take place on April 25th and 26th. Starting at 11am SLT. As I understand it at this point the shows will focus on Photography and Films in turn on respective days. There will of course be lots more information to follow. Nominee's will also receive personal invites and additional information for attending the shows.

I know the organizers really wanted the shows to happen earlier, unfortunately some back luck, some winter bugs, and other factors mean the show will go on, just a little later than normal this year.

Emmanuelle and Eva both wanted this information out there as soon as it was possible, and confirmed. So please mark your calendars!
