Wanna Flick? Mine Holiday

Some people make me mad! No, it's not a post about my pet peeves, although maybe some day I should do one. But how can some guys be so good at everything they do! Want an example? Well then!

I first learned about this guy called Jek Footman from flickr, and reading in The Sexiest Pornstars chat a pitch for his professional photographer services. You can see from the guy's work that he is in the category of the highly green-screeners who twist the possibilities of augmented reality using SL as a foundation for cartoon-like vignettes. You see it from his profile and his photo work right away: interracial sex, 'big' sizes, gangbangs are certainly areas of interest of the fella.
Then I followed on his profile the movie links, and here is his latest. 

No need to explain much of the 'plot' here, and sorry if I'll stick in some pretentious prose later: I think you can catch already from my poor screenshots what sort of setup we have for this Latina Holiday! It features amongst the 'friends' of Jek also a frequent visitor of these pages, MW Jonson, together with MaYcOn ShAkUr aka salymon. And the bootylicious Nadiax Zenovka!

Without the photoshopping going on, with all the glitches that can't be avoided at times when avatars interact, especially so exuberant in their proportions, mr. Footman's aesthetic here is articulated differently. Visually appealing at first glance already for the fans of this type of 'augmented' avis, filmed in all their luster with a level of detail that certainly shows a lot of horsepower, this production does more than shooting the black studs and the white girl who would leave Flo Rida and Pitbull bewildered.

The camera movements are subtle and realistic, the use of DoF and the pace of the edit creat just that little bit of ambience, expectation, sensual thrill that makes more enjoyable the dogpile-like sex you've seen coming.

That is even more striking when we look back just one movie, towards "Lost in a mines" [sic]. Here we have dialogue through captions, but the 'story' would be very efficiently narrated through the pure visual. The words jusst add a touch of humour and play into the the viewer's expectations, as the damsel in distress wanders in the labyrinth of underground caves of a mine....

...a gold mine, I guess, given how recurring that element is in the workers' apparel there! Although, it doesn't take long for them to go drill for oil, instead!

The pictures say it all: using the miner hats as sole light sources in the scene was a very inspired choice. Not only there is always a perfect dramatic light in the closeups, but the interaction and continuous movemenet of the different cones in the pitch black darkness produce greats effect in the ganbang.

'Erin's Interoffice Cummunications' by Erinyes Celestalis

For this weekend, something set on a Saturday. Who likes to have to work in on a Saturday morning? Oh dear. Well, wait before you answer...

...just wait!

Erinyes Celestalis is getting serious about movies! Mind you, I am a firm believer in the importance of simple, straight-to-the-point videos for the adult entertainment scene as a whole, but you also know I am such a sucker for movies more involved and with ambition. Erin is well known for her imagination in photosets that feature often plenty people, and this movie was just waiting to happen. Let's hear about it from her!

- First and foremost, this is your longest movie so far. Did you have fun with your smaller projects and what made you decide to 'go bigger' this time?

Erin smiles thoughtfully... " I most absolutely had fun doing the smaller projects! How could I not getting to spend time with some of the sexiest men in SL porn! I decided to 'go bigger' first and foremost to challenge myself and see if I could 'take it'! Secondly, to get cummed on by as many gorgeous cocks and shecocks I could that day!" *grins saucily*

- When you first got the idea for this movie, I know (my insider sources tell me!) it was a little different in your mind. Tell us how the idea evolved, and in general share how such a big and complex project became reality.

" Oh for sure! I had visions of how it would go, had it storyboarded and everything! I had always wanted to "pull a train" and a project I was doing for someone else, the movie poster project, seemed to lead me right into attempting to make it a real movie. However, that morning things did not go as planned.

At first there was panic and I had thoughts to cancel the shoot and postpone it, but I took a deep breath pulled up the proverbial panties and decided to go for it! Originally i had planned to shoot over a few days, but in the end it all got shot on the one day. We shot for more than six hours, everyone was so very patient with me and stuck it out for as long as they each could.

The final changes, most of the changes, happened in editing. There even had to be a name change to reflect the different movie I had. I did have to do a few re-shoots, some close ups and things I didn't think of at the time. And a lot of film did get cut, but I believe I kept all of everyone's best bits! "

   

- Do you consider this movie a learning experience? Any advice you'd give to a newcomer director, or to yourself in the past even, to do things differently?

*smiles reflectively*..... " It was most definitely a true learning experience for my next attempt! My best advice would be to be flexible and ready for anything. Take your time, don't rush it and maybe work with less people at a time to get the scenes more intimate."

- What is your favourite part of the movie, and what as a director you find the easiest or most pleasant thing in a shoot?

" I love ALL my sex scenes, of course! *quivers visibly at the memories* I love watching the physics wiggling and jiggling things! I love getting close ups! But my favorite part of this movie is probably the soundtrack, it's my favorite one so far and it is burned into my brain from listening to it over and over!





 Probably the easiest and most pleasant thing about a shoot is making sure everyone is having fun, keeping the atmosphere light and sexy and adding no stress. The most pleasant thing about this particular shoot was everyone else's attitude and the patience they gave me when things went upside down and had to change."

- And what do you find most challenging part about directing?

" The most challenging part of directing is keeping everyone's attention focused, keeping things moving a long AND to not let the sex distract you too much! Which at times, during certain scenes can be difficult even for me, the director!"

- Does that change compared to what you do in a photo shoot?

*shakes her head*.... "No, even in a photo shoot I want to keep everyone focused and moving along and still have to try not to get too taken with the scene. The issues for me don't change between filming a video or shooting a still."

- Finally, what is next in the schedule for Erin's Meow ?

" First, a little break! Erin needs some play time! *giggles*
Then some photo shoots as usual...perhaps one with you, Miss Katina? ....and in between work on my next flick....El Paradisio! "

Izzy's Bad (and long!) Day

Oh my! Another big post about one of those Isabelle Cheviot movies! Yes, yes, but consider, it's about nearly 2 hours of footage! Because we are talking about ...

Isabelle released just this one hour long flick that wraps up where part 2 ended, in sort of a cliffhanger, or a dark note if you will. But here you have her own words to sum it up.

" I really cut my teeth in SL porn working with Liam Erde in his piece 'Izzy's Bad Day - Part 1'. His vision was to do a 3 part series where the main character, Izzy, went through a series of mostly comic (and sexual) misadventures throughout her day. He finished Part 1 and then more or less left SL...Part 2 became my training film for directing and editing movies.

I had it in my head to finish the series with Part 3 and even shot a few scenes with a couple of actors but got involved in other projects and let it slip for a long time. I finally picked it back up recently and worked hard to get it done.

 

This series is kind of special to me since it's really how I got my start and I hope you all enjoy the intentional silliness of the film. I think some of the sex scenes are among my best and all of the performers involved were wonderful to work with.

Those of you who know me well will notice that my avatar during this was my pre-mesh avy. I made the decision to stick with the old one for the sake of continuity. I consider this film the last movie I will ever make with my old avy and in a sense it's a good bye of sorts.

Please enjoy the film - its meant to be fun AND hot. It's not perfect - in watching it recently I noticed some of the captions are 'cut off' and due to its length it's a bit dark. But it's still fun to watch. :) Enjoy!"

What am I going to add to this, my screencaps aside? I plaud the choice Isabelle made, to use for her movie for sake of continuity her 'old' avi, a choice reminiscent of Thorgal's in the SYWBAP series, to name one. The previous Izzy movies , which I am as well embedding in this post, are both funny, with nice twists, and while in some bits somehow dated in the looks of the avis like basically anything from the pre-mesh bodies era, they remain very enjoyable.

Already in her movie debut, you could see Isa employing nice visual tricks such as in the clothing change sequence, and her humour in all the dialogues.

As Isa said, the direction of the sex scenes in this third and final chapter is pretty impressive, especially in a gangbang scene which you sure need to check out!

Listing properly the large cast of the series would be arduous - although listing the character names would be pretty funny... -

...but as usual Isa wraps her stories up with proper credits and photo stills of the whole cast. One more reason for me to tell you again, to just have fun and take some time to watch the movies, in particular the third one, which remains perfectly visibile as stand-alone movie thanks to the well styled and funny opening montage.

Huge props to Isa for this massive project, that shows how much she cares about her work and giving a proper closure, and why not , happy ending to a story that needed a fitting conclusion! You didn't want poor Izzy to be stuck in jail with The Punisher, right?

So, time to perv the movie!
