THIS JUST IN FROM THE USA TODAY:
Barbie and Ken are back in love — and by this time tomorrow, they'll be "in a relationship" on Facebook.

MORE FROM THE USA TODAY STORY
Just in time for Valentine's Day, the plastic pair have decided to rekindle their romance. After Ken's efforts over the past month to woo back Barbie — he's been posting about his grand romantic gestures on Facebook and Twitter— she has made her decision.
"Ken and I were made for each other," Barbie tells USA TODAY. "Our love is grander than any dream house."
The nearly five decades-long doll love story came to an abrupt ending on Valentine's Day 2004 when the match-made-in-Mattel heaven shocked the world with their unexpected decision to spend time apart. Barbie began dating Australian surfer Blaine, while Ken did his best to get Barbie back in 2006. Despite his efforts — he even hired celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch to help him achieve a new look — the two dolls remained just friends.
Until now, that is.
Mattel, the manufacturer behind Barbie and Ken, plan to celebrate their iconic and beloved couple's status with a limited edition "Together Again" gift set that will retail for just $5. The dolls come ready for a romantic date in Malibu, sporting sun-kissed tans and modern fashions inspired by their original 1959 and 1961 swimsuits.
The couple, who originally started dating in 1961, even have plans to merge their Facebook pages into one at www.facebook.com/barbie.
Like the saying goes, it's not official until it's on Facebook.
I think she would have more fun with GI Joe. Ken looks like he does not really like girls that much.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I GI Joe is too macho to not have a secret life imho :)
