We truly live in interesting times, and if there is a genre of entertainment who is known to stay on top of the news and tackle any kind of subject, often from unusual angles, that is... porn movies, of course! Are you having a sense perhaps of...deja vu reading this? You surely won't when you will be get to watch the newest Filthy Penny Production from Rude Runner Studios! Except for the title, which I just indirectly mentioned. It is...
We'll start gathering around 7:15 PM SLT for the first display in-world of this new exciting movie: the full-blown party will of course begin at 8 PM, with the beautiful and now ungloomy Zuby to bring the tunes. I know that if there's a remote chance for you to attend the party, you are wondering what to wear and what not so, there: dress up if you like, or just come on over with a fun holiday outfit, since it will be also a Xmas party. What matters is that you swing by! Premiere parties are a great way to show partecipation to the adult art community, and Mitzy has consistently done a lot for the scene. This movie makes no exception with again a large ensemble cast.
Because the movie is again a group effort. Mitzy's production team headed by the Executive Producer Heather Ashford, whose Aquilae sim hosted once more the impressive sets put together for the movie and helped turning again another visionary dream of a story into reality. Which is very much what the characters of this movie experience! A variety of intriguing characters, very inspired casting choice. Rachel Avro deals with all the tribulations a casting director goes through, managing the intricacies of conflicting schedules, last minute forced replacements and making sure everyone is all geared up and ready for the shoots. Without this kind of work, productions of this level would be impossible.
As usual I don't want to read deeply into a porn movie script but it's interesting, I think, to know that the idea for this movie was explained to me just a while after the party for Quarantena, Mitzy's touching and multifaceted previous movie. Mitzy all of a sudden mentioned "the illusion of remembering scenes and events when experienced for the first time, something that has happened many times before : something that is very familiar". On a meta-narrative level, this movie does exactly that as it explores what Mitzy appropriately categorizes as "a lot of SL culture". The main episodes here are have a distinct aesthetic typical of familiar themes and communities in SL: steampunk, tropical, BDSM, vampires, and so much of SL is about music and live events.
Quarantena did not feature any dancing performance, an element Mitzy has always been fond of, and this movie manages not just to incorporate one, but is built around them. Sasha did a fantastic job with the coreography: she nailed tempo and atmosphere of the dances, and if the scenes flow the way they do, it is without a doubt thanks to her performance behind the scene (on top of being the ever hot piece of lass in front of the camera too in a great scene with Rache).
To put it simply: the movie is beautiful! This movie has all the mixture of melancholy and divertissement typical of the best Filthy Penny movies, as each character lives a different experience and after the intoxicating immersion in it, is left with some sort of mark, physical or otherwise and a burden to carry as they get back home to what we presume to be their ordinary life. Since it is a deja vu though...most likely it was already with them, and it merely helped us see it. "In vino veritas", as the Romans used to say!
Every episode shows a subtly different aspect of SL culture, as mentioned. The crucible of the events is the Deja Vu jazz bar, and every different location has a different bar where the story unfolds. You will love this potpourri of exotic, yet familiar, settings. It's a concept I find rather entertaining: in SL we are so familiar with particular aesthetics that would be so unusual in real life: vampires and pirates are totally ordinary for us, and it all blends in a sense of deja vu. The uniqueness they are presented here with is refreshing, and Mitzy did her best to show sex in many many declinations: a more physical kind of BDSM with whipping and screaming, a more subdued femdom style, a chic lesbian orgy, voyeurism and so much more!
There would still be plenty more to say, especially in a movie like this with large group scenes, so many individuals who manage to be a part of a splendid collective, and how they stand out in their part truly owning even the smaller role, but hey, can't put in thousands of words adequately what you'll just 'get' simply watching it! Here's the full credits for the movie, and meet you after the jump as usual!

That's it, folks! But it is only the beginning, actually! You have to watch this movie. And I suggest to do it at the premiere. Come on over for the party, meet Mitzy and the rest of the cast. Remember that parties like this are truly the best way to network. Mitzy's movies have involved a cast of dozens of people, and being part of it is far from an impossible dream. Even if movies are not your focus or you don't think you'd be a good fit (as I said before -like, really before, if you get my inside joke- you probably are -wrong!-), I still hope you'll consider showing up, since movie premieres are the most unique events for our community, they are sadly infrequent and they help supporting the creators' efforts. Join us before 8 PM on site - and we'll have all the fun and music of the pornstar party right after!
