Walking along a beach in Second Life or hanging out at one is lots of fun if you know the right places. Bumping into bikini clad or naked Pornstar beauties there can be a real plus too! Nothing new in that though..right? Imagine though taking in the sights, and seeing Pornstars and hot SL'ers such as Louise Kristan-Faulds or Emmanuelle Jameson featured here, snapped at the beach by myself. In a slightly different and new way.

Second Life Viewer For 3D and VR Head Sets!

I came across a third party viewer, trying out some things with an eye on the future of Second Life. Two eyes infact, and in 3D! Linden Labs is working closely to enable a amazing experience in world, via the 'Oculus Rift' Virtual reality head set. This will deliver a immersive 3D Second Life for users.

The 'CTRLALTStudio Viewer' adds features specific to rendering a 3D world and has features for head sets in the usual viewer 'Preferences' section. If you have the correct drivers for your graphics card, and Shutter glasses for 3D TV or PC you may be able to play Second Life right now in 3d!

I used the viewer to take this image above. Selecting the right, and left eye views of my avatar and combining them in Photoshop, to produce a pretty crystal clear 3D view which you can check out if you have Red/Blue glasses. The viewer is pretty much identical to Firestorm, and even if you don't have any of the new technology yet, you can have fun as i did making 3d images, and seeing your avatar in whole new dimensions!

The CtrlAltStudio Viewer is developed in order to try out and share a number of ideas, including: Oculus Rift support, stereoscopic 3D display, variable walk & fly speed, and Kinect for Windows control. It is based on the Firestorm Viewer which it tracks closely. 

The viewer can be used with both OpenSim and Second Life. Though only a Windows installer is provided, if you have the know-how the source code should be readily updateable for Mac OSX or Linux.

Virtual Reality Headset For Second Life! : Get Ready For POV Sex!

We've all gone into "Mouse look" at times in our Second Life and gotten a first person view, but imagine Second Life as a whole virtual world you are truly immersed in!? Great things are being spoken about the Oculus Rift VR Headset. It also seems very well suited to virtual worlds like Second Life.

This is not something which may happen, it's here. The goggles are out there now to buy, and the Second Life Viewers are on the way!

This exciting prospect got more exciting when i also read of third party viewer makers working on SL viewers for this amazing piece of equipment. Your whole SL  will truly be changed forever especially with 3D thrown into the mix too, those of you who love perving your own avatars may have to start searching for a Mirror on Market Place though!

I really feel this will change how many approach Second Life setting it apart from a "movie" you interact in, and making it truly an immersive world, i can see exploring becoming more of a pass time, and builders and creators catering to this also. As i've often predicted, Sex is going to become huge on the internet, so i also expect maybe sex animation creators catering towards POV sex also.
