VOTE FOR THE BEST IN SECOND LIFE (AND OUR FRIENDS)

Some very good friends of the blog are up for big honors in the AVI CHOICE awards.

Our old friend Rysan Fall is up for two awards, Favorite Machinima Production, as well as Favorite Videographer, along with another friend of the blog, Tutsy Navartthna.

And even though we're not up for Favorite SL Blogger (next year?) we have one of our very best friends up for it...Eddi Haskell. Eddi's blog is not only one of the best on SL but he's helped with this one too.
We'd encourage everyone to vote for him!

Last year's SEXIEST® AWARDS performer, Noma Falta, is up for Favorite Blues artist.
And our blogger friend and fashionista, Strawberry Singh is up for Favorite Model.

Voting ends tonight. Good luck to our friends and please vote here:

SECRET OS MAVERICKS FIXES IN SECOND LIFE!

A New Apple OS means Secret Fixes to make it work

Not a lot of people are on Macs in SL. But those that are know that a new OS (operating system came out this weekend).

A few things that you should know

1. It takes at least 40 mins to download it. So don't do it if you are busy.
2. Things will take a while to open. The older your computer, the longer it will take.
3. If your computer is older, things will run slower. If it's newer, it should be the same or faster.
4. Some programs like iLife are getting big changes. So maybe wait to change if you are in a big project and don't have time to re-learn it.

So what's that mean to your SECOND LIFE?

• If you do load OS X Mavericks, and you use FIRESTORM, you need to do a CLEAN INSTALL (or a lot of your files will go missing and you will panic like I did!)

Also, like Mountain Lion, you'll probably need to make one small fix to get VOICE working in Firestorm on your Mac

Below are the TWO SECRETS you need to do a CLEAN INSTALL on your MAC after the break.
