Hey! it's today!

No better demonstration than this issue, with the successful transition from party shots to a full spread. SL Connoisseur features at lenght at least three models in every issue, and while it has just one cover (duh!), the Pet of the Month pictorial is no small accomplishment, with the official photographer Jenny (genesis1984) setting a beautiful tone for the pin-ups. Kayla Desmoulins (Kayla Ecksol) is a fantastic model that for our dedicated Sexiest group members have quickly learned to appreciate, not just for her affiliation with one of the most prominent and active current members, but also for beauty and talent of her own. Jenny here captures her in all her blonde bombshell sultriness!

Now that I have touched the subject of Jenny and her share of talents, I point out for any new reader that she takes us places every month, putting into fruition a skillset entirely different from the model portfolio shots she dishes out for the 'Pet'. In this issue she takes us to the Far East with a trip to a Japanese-themed sim, through her whimsical narrative, putting herself in the photo just enough to keep the shots fun and personal while letting the full panoramic views truly breathe. 

All the pictures from a nice trip are better when they include sexy legs.

Jenny's feature is not the only editorial written content of the magazine: its very origin and core are based on its founder and owner Edvard Taurion and its continuing mission to cover the world of adult furniture and much more. SL Connoisseur is the extension and 'showroom' of the Adult Furniture Review blog, with all the intangible perks of the magazine form through the very tangible -as pixels go!- presence as inworld object and structured monthly publication. It's why people love magazines!

What else to say? Oh yes, the cover girl! Cal Kondo is surely a photography subject particularly close to Kara Hawk's heart, but the photography editor of the magazine refrains from being sentimental, and showcases Cal's peppy and athletic side in a centerfold shoot that does what Kara does best: be creative and tell a story through incisive, well staged captures with the model truly coming to life as a person. The timing couldn't be better either: I heard that voyeuristic workout videos are hot right now!

Enter freely and of your own free will...

As in many things in Second Life, partecipation and interest is often all you need to be involved. Meet everyone involved in the magazine and you'll easily find that nobody is unapproachable, and SL Connoisseur staffers are very down to earth.  And which better reminder than the Party Star of the month, Tracey (traceyjaneh), to reiterate that you can be on the next issue too? The ideal outfit for those hot summer afternoons, you know! 

A magazine is a tough job that knows no pauses - SL Connoisseur does not have a summer break and offers its proven and popular blend of content, starting with its backbone, which is to provide a showcase for "Second Life Adult Furniture and Equipment", as the blog of its founder and owner Edvard Taurion goes. Several thorough tests and reviews can be found on the publication, illustrated by original pictures and with full specs provided for each product. It's an agile read for a casual browsing from one article and pictorial to the next, with the option to get more in-depth for the products you are interested in, as the articles always come with the relevant links. 

True and tested, tough job to review furniture!

 

Of course the real glamour of the magazine lies in its pictorials, which this month too are flattering to the subject matter: fresh and apropos approaches to two gorgeous models, different and equally beautiful. Jenny (genesis1984) in her Pet of the Month photoduty showcases Julyet (Juliette Anton) in quite the smouldering feature. A dungeon seems like an idea place to escape the summer canicola...check out the shoot and you will agree. There's something tempting in this shoot from start to finish.
With Julyet around, it is too hot for clothes, and certainly for underwear...

The centerfold model is Jisset ( darksidetinkerbell ), in a dreamy pictorial that channels the best Esther Williams, if she did nudity and if she were bold enough to swim with sharks! Kara Hawk captures her in fantastic oceanic views, and she is as sensual and alluring as a mermaid, with the added bonus of having actual legs! You know, I never quite figured out how to get around the tail thing...ah but I digress. I can, though, as the images speak by themselves. 

You won't see this beauty get prune-skinned even through a lenghty photoshoot!

The lovely Jenny appears as usual in the magazine twice, with her sim hopping side. Not the sexy intimate shots of her BDSM-flavoured pictorial, but aery summer postcards on Hawaiian beaches. Which, compared to her usual immersive views, allow her also to cover the sim inserting herself in the shots with skimpier clothing covering. I am always in favour of -that- and you will love it too. This month's designated location is quite a catch.
Always good to see more of Jenny...and her sim presentations, of course! 

Do you need further reminders, further reasons on why to get the magazine -and get to the party - at 11 AM today? So! With that out of the way...It is hot, I was saying. Where are the naked girls? I know you're eager. Hold your horses though! I mean, SL Connoisseur has a bit of everything, you see. Naked gals and guys at parties? Naked men and women demonstrating the merchandise you can most easily expect to find in the magazine acting as product showcase for Edvard Taurion's adult furniture famed blog? There are indeed some daddies and babygirls in various states of undressing in this issue!

This is almost a family issue....almost! 

Then again there's also an absence of nudity in Jenny (genesis1984)'s sim reports, since she goes to great lenghts to find amusing and intriguing places to recommend to the magazine's readers. It's so refreshing to read her contributions, written in a candid tone and accompanied by well presented photos. Oh but you DID inquire for nudity, yes? Jenny brings that sort of content to the magazine too...

Jenny this month shoots Mara (eurogirllover), a cowgirl with a colorful edge, and another fine addition to the many models SL Connoisseurs has featured across the years. Jenny uses an entirely different set of tools for this kind of photos, going for the professional pin-up showcase, and delivers.

Then of course there's the centerfold and cover by Kara Hawk, and she is one who does not only use the classic glamour photographer tools: she makes her own tools creating the unexpected! The beauty on the cover this month is Kiki CC-Blackwood. A sophisticated beauty captured at its best already in arguably one of the finest covers in the magazine's run, this is one of those pictorials who tell a story bringing originality to the pictorial formula while keeping the focus on the model's breathtaking body.

You may dress casually, or barely!

The magazine features every month a great selection of adult products - it is very much a product and advertisement-oriented creation, but it's exactly what you can expect from a name like Edvard Taurion's, whose blog posts have been for years the daily update for many shopping enthusiasts with an interest in fully functional furniture. The monthly appointment with a magazine is always a very special and prestigious window, which retains the trademark informative value of Edvard's posts: you won't be disappointed when you browse the magazine and go through the selection of furniture and other selected items covered in these pages. But of course...

...of course you're gonna also flip pages and go straight for the ladies with the hot bods, hm? Ah, yes, gotta catch 'em all! And you'll be without a doubt pleased by the looks of a girl with one of the most epic display names in recent memory: A Wild Sarah Appears! Sarah Winters (subbysarah99) is quite the pretty teacher's pet with a penchant for having upskirt shots taken - as long as she keeps a skirt on to begin with - in a beautiful pictorial from the talented Jenny (genesis1984).

Jenny is also as usual tasked with one of the most appreciated features in magazines: the sim spotlight. Second Life is a beautiful, diverse and ever-changing world, and the work of its architects, decorators and landscapers is always worth of note and interest. Jenny provides a very engaging approach to the art of sim coverage, and this time her travel diary brings her on the wings of imagination.

I do believe in Fairies! I do! I do!

Then of course there's the cover girl of the month. We're told to never judge a book by its cover...but heck, magazines are! And there's a reason why I always express admiration for Kara Hawk's work as photography editor: she handles centerfolds admirably, often bringing so much peppy creativity, but surely she knows how to frame the beauties right and just make them shine at their sexiest. Diana Darkfold's cover shot is pure glamour, and you'll find in the pictorial a bit of fun, and plenty raw, hot (oh so hot!) sensuality.

You know, riding a proper plane in the age of Corona is so difficult...

Experience social distancing (ir)responsibly with the fine people at the SLC party!

SL Connoisseur is as you should know by now, the lovechild of Edvard Taurion and a selected roster of photographers who bring great contributions every month. Edvard's work can be seen daily with his blogging, and the magazine showcases some of the products and designers with the perfect pacing to let the amplitude of information breathe. There is always a lot to see in the magazine in terms of content - this issue is over two hundred pages that go by like a spring breeze!

Amongst the original content, once more in this issue big credit has to go to Jenny (genesis1984) for her sim spotlight: in this issue the magazine coverage goes to a true institution in SL, the Vordun Museum and Gallery. The place has a rich history, and Jenny as in all of her location reports, has as target not to show you the place in its every nook and cranny, which would require a 400-page issues by itself, but to provide the essentials and stimulate your curiosity.

You can't find Jenny for sale at Vordun's gift store, but that's the only slight disappointment.

Speaking of stimulation, of course you want to see the babes, hm? Besides the hot action designed to showcase the products, and all the party photos including the party star, there are two beautiful pinups in the issue who get to experience the full thrill of a photoset. Jenny brings another lovely pinup shoot featuring this month a bodaceous redhead in Andy (alternumber25). Soft curves to make you daydream.

I found out that traversing rivers can be an excellent way to avoid people getting too close.

And the cover girl and centerfold is Bexxy Denimore (bexxylou)!  Photography editor Kara Hawk gets another sexy girl wet and does it in style - what is new here? Kara is always quite apt at bringing personality to her shots, and the lovely Bexxy makes no exception. A beautifully evocative shoot with the model immersed in a redolent nature that hints already at summer even throughout a rainy day. You know, I could see a metaphor in all this - but I'll stick to being pleased at the see-through clothing!

See? Told you, that is why rain is a true blessing.

Just one day away from April Fool's day, so you can be sure it's no joke!

Kristina is as you readers know by now, extra busy on the day of the release, with her event photographer job and all, but meeting deadlines for a mag is a tough job and she happens to have to piece it together due to her executive technical editor task. Another busy bee in the crew is Jenny (genesis1984). Her name has popped up in these posts always twice at the very least when it comes to recapping her contribution to the issue. Pet of the month photographer, sim reporter, DJ - she will be on duty today too! - , Jenny in this issue appears deservingly on the very cover too!

And of course Kara Hawk did a wonderful job with it. Being a centerfold photographer tasked with producing a quality cover shot brings great pressure, but Kara always manages not just to thrive on it, but to have fun with it. She shows in this issue her trademark inventiveness and versatility this time exactly by not going for extravagant locations or hilarious ideas, but shooting Jenny by the books: a gorgeous B&W with effective use of light. Jenny looks magnificent in this quality glamour spread, and the magazine offers a terrific tribute to her beauty.

And to her talents too, since she so generously puts on display -that- and not just her bewitching appearance! In these times of very real isolation, a virtual tour can be quite fun, and in her sim report she gives us our take on the Buckingham Palace sim, recreating of course the charme of the real deal, with just as many corgis too! Not just that: Jenny also does a jaw-dropping photoshoot of a bodacious blonde: Florence is a real stunner and the pictorial Jenny made with her could have easily produced a cover shot itself.

Now if this shot can't be called 'inviting', then...

Finally, I have to mention what I don't always remind in here: the content managed by the magazine owner Edvard Taurion always constitutes the largest share of the magazine: being an extension of the adult blogging activity he's renowned for and a natural showcase for the network of contacts he built through the years, you will find a lot of different items for your discerning buyer taste! In this issue you can definitely find a a rich selection of naughty furniture (with beds being the most featured ones, almost a surprise these days!) to engage in completely unsanitary fashion.

Reviews that can surely be quite fun to peruse!

Release some tension at the release party!

Parties are a vital component of the life of magazines by design aimed at promotion, something Edvard Taurion understands well. Being social is a raison d'etre for most of us in Second Life, and partecipating not only nets you a sure chance to be in the magazine in the following issue...but to be there twice now, since SL Connoisseur in this issue expanded the camera roll shooting those of you (all of you reading here I hope!) who love to dress up but also to bare, both all dressed up and in the buff. A simple innovation that expands on Kristina Deschanel's impeccable camera skills she honed in these years of dedication to the magazine as both party photographer and technical editor.

Am I bad for wondering about how jiggly things get in space?

Of course partecipating also brings you terrific chances to be featured in the magazine with your own work and with your dazzling looks in the more structured dedicated articles and pictorials. Last party's dj, the gorgeous Zababy Bodenhall, is the covergirl of this issue, in another stunner by the star photographer of stars Kara Hawk herself. You know just looking at this month's cover that something special is brewing, and I am spoiling it for you this time telling you that the shoot goes all Space Odyssey on you and features the beauty of Zababy in Zero G (and at least Rating R)!

SL Connoisseur of course has also a Beauty of the month, and Jenny (genesis1984) is the able photographer tasked with capturing the pulchritude of one Charlot Ansar. She's just gorgeous, and Jenny issue by issue is making the art of getting subtle naughty angles that play with the model in both a glamorous and lascivious way a trademark of hers.  But Jenny is also the sim reporter for the magazine as you know, and is more than happy to make her shots serviceable for panoramic and characterists shoots of various locations in SL. This issue focus on none other than Dublin. Because, you know, St. Patrick and all. Arrrr. Dang, I really can't get that Irish accent to work. Nevermind.

I fully expect she's reading some Joyce there.

I am not sure if we'll get to see big St. Paddy's parades all over the US this year, but as we said, partying in SL is sweet and safe. Let's just make it memorable and naughty! For the greater part of these 50 issues, the wonderful Kristina Deschanel has been technical editor and the party photo fairy: she does not only put together the material from the various magazine collaborators and sponsors, but also grabs shots of every single partygoer! Which for anyone who dabbled in on-the-fly photography...can be such a stress! But she managed to get this down to an art.

Even the most recent addition, joining the magazine's ranks in 2019, managed to rise to the occasion and grow into roles she tackled for the first time, such as dj-ing events. Jenny (genesis1984) has been a terrific collaborator for the magazine beginning as sim editor - her travel diaries are concise and on point and add with their photography a definite sense of wonder leaving you curiosity to see more with your own eyes.

But Jenny surely flexes her photo chops when it comes to her photo spreads, another role she has revealed great aptitude to. The honor to be the 50th Pet of the month goes to the beautiful Marisa Aironaut, a truly shining and dazzling beauty in this pictorial, characterized by spot-on shots who should be in the arsenal of top glamour photographers - there's a back cleavage one that is just yu-mhm and I am not showing you here because...I am supposed to just offer a tease and not the whole thing!

Speaking of teases and of people who carry themselves with confidence in roles they discovered through this magazine... I love the choice to let Kara shoot Kara for this anniversary issue (I wonder who paid for the helicopter to fly Kara in so Kara could shoot her, making time in Kara's busy schedule). Month in month out, Kara Hawk has proven to be not just reliable in her duties as lead photographer for the magazine, but also imaginative and original in her choices, still with a firm grip on how a sexy pin-up should look.
