My favourite read on the magazine is always Jenny (genesis1984)'s sim report, with her very personal and personable (there you go, punny again) take on destinations on the  grid. Coco Saint Claire (Jampu Loon) actually does manage to get a lot of her personality out (along with her aforementioned tits, yes yes!) in what is indeed a sweet and funny spread. And we all know that the best photoshoots are those who let some of the model's individuality out (well, and their ti....okay I think we established we like tits on the magazine).

The last Connoisseur party of the year! Awww, I'm sad! Even if the year is 2020...

It's becoming a bit of a Christimas tradition for the magazine to honor this gorgeous Croatian beauty. Her brains and dedication make possible for the magazine to be punctually released each month through her work as Executive Technical Editor and with a full complement of action shots of the guests parterre: it's only fair to give her dreamy curves a chance to shine, and she does it in style this year, a true Venus in furs! Summer has fallen! I mean it turned into Fall...not that it's an issue or anything in SL: the summer never ends if you want! You don't even have to migrate to Australia to try and not get caught in a winter. Unless you do live in the southern emisphere already, then congrats on your Spring and...what was I gonna talk about? Oh yes! The release of the newest ...

Do you love partying and want to get noticed? Every month there's an occasion ripe for the pluking, which is guaranteed to give you a magazine appearance! Like every first Thursday of the month, today at 11 AM SLT, it's time to party with the SL Connoisseur staff. The indefatigable Kristina 'Kiki' Deschanel has he camera handy and SL Connoisseur makes sure to open each issue with a paparazzo montage of all the strange and beautiful creatures in attendance at the previous launch event. There's also another photo opportunity that comes with partecipating to this celebration of the talents of the very dedicated crew of this monthly effort: every time a different woman in attendance will get ampler coverage, with Kiki's photo skills put to extra duty for the booty! This girl will be the Party Star, and the name says it all! Last month it was the turn of the barbielicious Tisha Hubbenfluff. I love that name! Sounds like straight from a Harry Potter novel, and please write your magic wand jokes yourselves.

Needless to say, chances of getting your cute face and other assets on a mag is not restricted by showing up and be picked simply for your photogenicity (err... I am pretty sure it is an actual word even if it has no business to be). There are at least two proper studio pictorials done in every issue, with a solid 5 years tradition. The first one in order of appearance is the Pet of the Month, which in this issue is represented by the very talented and very French Anne Thanas, here captured by the official feature photographer Jenny at her workplace.

And Jenny (genesis1984) in this issue demonstrates once more her eclectic talents: she began her tenure at the magazine with the sim report feature, and her personality grows in this each issue, as you can see in her Halloween sim quest. Lots of fun to be had thanks to her buoyant writing and the clever use of angles to let the scenery breathe and the story unfold.

A very different cleverness in the angles is what she uses during the pictorials. Jenny sure knows how to shake things up and use audacious angles when it comes to display the beauty and personality of a model, but also takes flattering classic pin-up shots. Hers is the centerfold spread, which features a name very well known in our circles and beyond as one of the most prominent StrokerzGirlz: the sexy and personable CandyCane Gloom.

Hey! it's today!

No better demonstration than this issue, with the successful transition from party shots to a full spread. SL Connoisseur features at lenght at least three models in every issue, and while it has just one cover (duh!), the Pet of the Month pictorial is no small accomplishment, with the official photographer Jenny (genesis1984) setting a beautiful tone for the pin-ups. Kayla Desmoulins (Kayla Ecksol) is a fantastic model that for our dedicated Sexiest group members have quickly learned to appreciate, not just for her affiliation with one of the most prominent and active current members, but also for beauty and talent of her own. Jenny here captures her in all her blonde bombshell sultriness!

Now that I have touched the subject of Jenny and her share of talents, I point out for any new reader that she takes us places every month, putting into fruition a skillset entirely different from the model portfolio shots she dishes out for the 'Pet'. In this issue she takes us to the Far East with a trip to a Japanese-themed sim, through her whimsical narrative, putting herself in the photo just enough to keep the shots fun and personal while letting the full panoramic views truly breathe.

What else to say? Oh yes, the cover girl! Cal Kondo is surely a photography subject particularly close to Kara Hawk's heart, but the photography editor of the magazine refrains from being sentimental, and showcases Cal's peppy and athletic side in a centerfold shoot that does what Kara does best: be creative and tell a story through incisive, well staged captures with the model truly coming to life as a person. The timing couldn't be better either: I heard that voyeuristic workout videos are hot right now!

As in many things in Second Life, partecipation and interest is often all you need to be involved. Meet everyone involved in the magazine and you'll easily find that nobody is unapproachable, and SL Connoisseur staffers are very down to earth.  And which better reminder than the Party Star of the month, Tracey (traceyjaneh), to reiterate that you can be on the next issue too?
