A Sexiest® Movie Premiere: Neon !

Ready for a trip into the future? Be warned, it can be quite...well, trippy as the name says, so I'd start small. What about 7 PM tonight?  I know, it may not sound very futuristic, but just browse this post and you'll see, that there's a lot to soak in! It is in fact the time when we'll start the premiere of Mitzy Broadway's newest movie...

The foundation of future events is in the past. That's gonna be my excuse from now on as I repeat myself ! What I always say when I have the pleasure to write a post detailing a new movie release AND premiere party is: premiere parties are wonderful events that I wish were more common. Any movie in Second Life is a lot of work that require uncommon dedication and patience and have to compete for their audience with an overflow of images and shortened attention spans. The celebration of these efforts with a premiere party is to me almost a necessity especially when it involves such a monumental effort!

It seems that sci-fi productions are where directors  really are at their best producing new, inspired visual creations. Just talking about visuals would be somewhat deceiving, though, even if the creativity involved to portray on screen what appears here is remarkable. We are talking about world-building. In Mitzy's world (and Rysan's voice) ...

"The effects of global climate change on humanity that scientists had predicted in the past happened in the future. The results were humans living in Eco chambers in cities with mass populations living online. Space Entrepreneurs made it possible for humans to travel into space to colonize other worlds. Genetic engineered clones were necessary for the continued evolution of human colonization of distant worlds. Clients selected for space travel used Neuro Wave transfer for uploading neuro waves into the clone’s brain. Neuro waves are your own memories. Selected clients on Earth Base have genetic copies in space with implanted memories living lives in other worlds."

That's an ethical bomb ready to explode! Of course 'something' goes 'wrong' and leads to a complexity of situations...and identities, and copies of an identity as we follow what is almost a Platonic search for the Forms. Okay, it's a porn movie so there's absolutely nothing platonic about what happens, but the complexity of situations and nature of conflict, where no real 'good' or 'bad' can be seen in the characters, under what appears to be a system incredibly advanced and yet incredibly flawed, is stimulating under every aspect.

The quintessential cyberpunk movie in themes, "Neon" is a fascinating experience that casts a light over all the hotness you can expect from a Mitzy movie: it keeps flickering between cold brightness and mysterious shadows through an ambiguous moral spectrum. Of course Mitzy would not be satisfied bringing a double (and more!) dose of herself, and here we are praising the various members of the cast that helped making this future a reality today, from the various patrons of The Pleasure Galaxy club with their unique looks, to the cast of dancers impeccably coreographed by Sasha Johansen, with a special mention to the one and only Larry Vinaver. Larry's character plays a decisive role in the story, capped by a vocal performance, officially making him, as if there was any doubt, the actor with the most versatile skillset on the scene.

Heck, I am getting tired simply thinking of writing the credits for this thing! Mad props to Rachel Avro for the casting and planning, Heather Ashford for the production, and of course, Mitzy Broadway for going through the set building (a great deal of what we see in this flick was built by Mitzy, combined with exterior shots taken at the stylish Insilico sim), filming, editing and so much more. Oh, yes, the writing! See, these movies are so much work that even grasping the full scope of it can difficult.

So, for the movie premiere we'll start gathering at 7 PM SLT for the screening of the movie inworld, which through the wonders of space and time displacement will bring you The Pleasure Galaxy, the location where a super hot part of the movie takes place! Our Official Pornstars Party  with will begin around 7:45 with HaileyMarie Redrose as DJ. Do not miss out, as castings for the next movies (and Mitzy has already a couple in the making, just saying) often happen during parties. A Sexiest® Movie Premiere: Circus Erotica !

"Life is a Circus and there’s a winner born every minute." We do have a real winner in this newest Filthy Penny production, Circus Erotica, but it certainly was not born in a minute! We will take -more- than a minute of our time when the movie premieres today at 6 PM SLT (scroll to the bottom of the post for details). Wait, wasn't according to P.T. Barnum, a sucker born every minute? Well, it's gonna be an official porn party, so I am sure we are gonna get some sucking going too...But I digress.

This movie is an event. It deserves to be. Once you sit down and watch it, it's likely you won't have time to consciously extrapolate from the extravaganza of extraordinary scenes and situation precisely how much work this must have been to be put on screen and in SL. You will be completely immersed in the three-ring action and five-star visuals. Still, every time this movie throws an 'impossible' situation, a wildly imaginative predicament, every time the sense of wonder hits you, you may get in the back of your head the notion that what you see has behind it a well practiced craft, lots of work, and a mysterious art of its own. Surely the case here.

Four months in production, Circus Erotica has been. Deserved every second spent though. And much like a true carnie show, it certainly is an ensemble production: just listing the cast here will make this post particularly lenghty. Which offers me the chance to skip telling you about the plot, because quite frankly, I do want you to watch the movie yourself and be amazed by what you will see. I do want to stress tho that the movie is absolutely not just a motley juxtaposition of kinky scenes artfully shot in a Burtonesque imaginative setting...even if THAT alone would make the movie totally worth a look per se! In fact, many details you can pick up from the strangest situations at the circus fall into place for a greater puzzle  that will be revealed at the end. Just saying!

Again much like a carnie event, you will find acts of pure physicality and displays of finesse treading a thin line, freak shows (rather, freeky showings!) and artful ballet, a time for outrageous farce and for subdued, poetic visuals, covering the whole spectrum of sex from the magnetism between the two parts of performing duo, to the most twisted spectacles with stuff that is not supposed to go where you see it going!

A constant element of Mitzy's movies has been professional voice acting, and like in her previous movie Dystopia, Mitzy can boast in the credits the partecipation of one of the most awarded machinimist in SL, Rysan Fall. So, as the open narration goes....

" Life is a Circus and there’s a winner born every minute. 
Can you spare some change?  
Looks like you are the winner, Miss! That is not a train ticket, it’s a ticket to Circus Erotica.

Ta-da. Yes, I am a rather disappointing post-credits scene, I know. While I point out the pivotal roles in the production that Heather Ashford and Rachel Avro had ( having also some fun in the movie having the most screentime in the memorable role of a fun-sized version of themselves shows them to be great sports), I am reminding you that the premiere for this movie will happen today June 16th at a special set in Hard Alley. Tunes and stage setup as now tradition for Mitzy's movies will be provided by the awesome Jadelyn McAuley.

The premiere will begin at 6 PM with the screening. Party will follow, 6:30-8:30. The arena is circus-themed, obviously, so you may show up dressed accordingly....or just come as you are and enjoy the insanity! The place is by the beach, too, so maximum freedom for your attire! No excuses, just come over...and let me just give you a suggestion you already hear every time: partecipating to parties is a good 'career' move, and not in a manipulative way. Being part of events and the pornstars 'life' is what makes the whole experience worth it, and gives feedback to the hard workers of the business...and chances for more fun to you!

Hello! Pornstars! : Club Erotique's Pink Party #1
