Wanna Flick? The Beach is Back!

Today I had a special encounter that made me think it would have been a great day to blog Dillon Lecker's James Bond movie. But then of course my mind went in a different direction, and here's his latest,

I was prepared to the All Saints' 'Pure shores', because my mind still lags a decade or two behind and because Dillon is your closest match to Leo in porn. Yes I also have already used this line...What can I say? I keep my hopes high!

What can be said about this movie? First of all, starring in it we have besides the well traveled on (and off) screen couple of Carly and Dillon, the sexy pairing of Brea Brianna and M3 Jonson

It goes like this: Brea and Mack are getting it on, while Carly wanders the beach training her camera skills with her smartphone, while Dillon works out flexing his phythons...ya know what i mean.

"The Beach" is the latest example of Dillon's filmaking, featuring good and fun sex to a catchy soundtrack, the focus being Dillon and Carly, who once more express a wonderful dynamic and 'chemistry', if the word can make sense with pixel acting - but i tell you, with them, it does! But of course with also a chance for other actors to shine.

Speaking of shining (no, not one of Dillon's many project as far as I know), the movie is filmed impeccably and fluidly: Dillon looked very inspired in the visuals here, and certainly borrowing JJ Abrams' lens flare machine helped too.

On a semi-random note, instead of putting the spotlight on the second most recent movie by Dillon, I am going to dig up another flick from his past: not quite his debut, but something he did before I began covering movies on the blog on a semi-regular basis (oh my!).

Watching Carly taking selfies and getting spanked by Dillon in "The Beach" in fact got me back thinking of this Sextape, and how good it still looks after over a year and so much more movie experience from both. Ooo yes, they already looked hot!

The movie already shows many of the little directorial trademarks from him (does 'banging Carly' count as 'directorial trademark' ? Hmm, not sure). But most importantly, showed already Dillon's distinct perception of what makes a a 'movie' work, editing wise and with some well calibered camerawork, as he learned more tricks along the way.

In general, that's what makes Dillon's movies entertaining and worth watching for me: even in those flicks that are not openly comedic/throwbacks, you always get the feeling of a real cinema enthusiast at the helm, one who films with gusto the pixel sex making it interesting in every shot and transition. Even a simple concept as 'two avatars in a room, fucking' gets interesting when filmed properly. I know that RL porn IS about fucking in rooms, but you also know that it gets way stranger than that in SL!

Making out of with ....Carly Mode

I love giving space on the blog for some of the most interesting artists on the scene to present their work more at lenght. This time I have the pleasure to chat once more with Carly Mode.



This post will have 'the jump' quite a bit sooner than usual, because both the interview and the screenshots are not gonna be spoiler-free! Without giving the movie away, I don't want to unveil too much about it if you haven't seen it yet a month into the release. Watch the movie without knowing -anything- about it and you'll have a real laugh, I promise. The movie is every bit as enjoyable even already knowing all the 'circumstances', though. What you need to know is , it's a HBIC production, and it features Carly herself, Dillon, Brea Brianna,Carla Draesia, Edvard Taurion, Carly's sis Jellybean with her pandas (none of which harmed during the motion picture), M3Johnson, Melanie Oryl, Meghan Moonbeam.

A very clever concept executed in true Carly style. Because she truly has developed already a 'style', even with just a handful of vids made. Cute, funny, inventive visually, high in sexual content and calories!
Without further ado, Carly Mode talking about "Him" while she is working on her new movie and figuring new way to shoot.

- It's been 6 months since the release of your first movie. Not asking if you see improvements but...actually yes, do you feel that your skills as film maker have improved with experience? Be inspirational, come on. Tell us something you learned about films, or SL in general.

" I've discovered new tricks, and how to control camera movements better. As a filmmaker, i appreciate sl movies more and watch as many movies as possible. There is so much talent out there, and im inspired by everyone's work and their creativeness.

I'm still very new to the craft, I love it when i find a new feature to use. I must admit that I am getting kinda annoyed of all my spinning shots. I get dizzy while editing. though I do think that with time, I will learn how to not be so "spiny".

Making out of with...Aria Horan

One of the Pornstars group members with the most prolific record is without a doubt the very intriguing Aria Horan. If you don't follow her flickr yet, you are in for a real treat...and a trip into the sexual side of SL like no other.



The sheer amount of pictures in her stream is overwhelming. You will find there, as you can see scrolling the post, plenty rough and hot 'action' shoots, but Aria loves also to play with a raking light and portray lovely beauties. In fact, just the other day she started a new album of her 'Shemale beauty' series after the previous one racked up nearly 200 photos.



In fact, I am going to cover her series in the next future, but this interview she kindly gave me last month covers her approach to what she calls, as you can read now, 'combat photography'! It's the very evident passion from her sex photosets that made me learn about her and follow her on flickr.





Without further ado, here's Aria Horan and her relationship with SL photography and eroticism in her own words. Enjoy her words, and of course the photos, mixing some of Aria's favourite photosets with some stunners she did this past month !





- Your photosets have a lot of 'energy' about them: I imagine they are taken during actual 'sl sex' situations, am I wrong? When taking snapshots, do you think more about the sex, about how the photos will turn out , do the two things clash sometime? 

" First of all, thanks for the compliment: I like to think my photosets have energy, and, yes, you are right, it’s all ‘combat photography’ – nothing planned, nothing staged, all on-the-fly. I did a staged shoot once and it was the most boring thing I think I have done in SL – basically being sat on a poseball and adjusted for ‘that perfect shot’. Never again. Sex should be about action, passion and fun

As to what I think about when having sex and taking photos? Hmmm. I carry a DSLR around with me virtually all the time in RL – never know when a non-sexual photo op will rear its head– so I long ago stopped consciously thinking about framing and composition, lighting, how the eye reads information, lines, rule of thirds and all that Photography 101 stuff – which more than a few people who post so-called porn in here would do well to learn (there is a difference between holiday happy snaps and *photography*) – I guess I have developed ‘eye’. I just move the camera round and shoot. 



That’s another reason I call it ‘combat photography’ – there is no time for overthinking things when you are in the heat of battle. Or in heat. So I am thinking about the sex, the camera thing kind of takes care of itself. That said, I am usually not in control of the menu so I have to play it by ear. Or eye

 

I also studied film years back and try to incorporate a few basic principles from that in my work as I like to try and provide at least some semblance of a narrative: using establishing shots to provide some location information and after that get close into the action - you can fill in background detail with the closer-in shots. No-one wants to watch porn like you are looking through the wrong end of a telescope. Or do they?" (continues...)

Carly Rides It!

Today, Carly Mode's newest!

Well, damn, I already put everything in the gif, so I guess I am done here. Have a great weekend partying, everyone! The movie is after the jump and...

Nah, come on, a couple screenshots first! I do want to eat up a little space showing some freeze frame hotness here, as Carly brought us here a really neat cast.

But it's the editing part that really is the high note of this video effort. Carly put together an incredibly stylish product: I have used in the past the term "porn music video", and editing transitions to the peaks of the audio track is a very tricky but also rewarding technique that inspires directors all the time, but in case of this flick here, Carly really goes for the MTV vibe. Uh...Does MTV still exist? I am old. You know what I mean tho.

So, between dancing and lip-synch, sex transitions happens. The whole product looks really smooth and erotic, and it's amazing every time, to the point that I should stop saying at her every release, how Carly comes up with impeccable results like a consummate professional.

That probably is because despite the title, Carly rides no vehicle in this video (just dudes).
Dillon just won't let her.

For a reason.
We'll see Carly riding actual cars next time, but for now....
