Get High with Emily !

Being in a SL movie is a tough affair. That's mostly because MAKING a movie is a tough affair as well for different reasons, and it's not only a matter of applying the rules of supply-demand: it's often a matter of luck and timing.
With that in mind, it's a blessing for our scene when circumstances allow a willing filmaker to schedule with ample notice a shooting opening it to anyone with a fitting look.

It's exactly what happened for this 'The Mile High Club'

''Riding in 1st Class, I ask my rock star boyfriend (Scooby) if he wants to join the mile high club! You know it's more complicated than that, you're going to have to watch the movie!!'

The shooting was announced in-world through notices in the porn groups, and through her blog (with one humble reminder from me here as well) and even Flickr. And if you attended any of Emily's parties, you probably heard her talking in local chat about it way before as well (I deeply envy her scheduling ways, I admit !).

" Here is the deal I have a handful of people already committed to this movie, I really don't need to have the plane full!! But because it would look better the fuller it is and I know a lot of people would like to be in my movies, so I have opened this up!! As long as you look good. act professional (listen) and dress the role your in!!"

The turnout was pretty nice, I'd say!  With a mixture of movie newcomers and usual suspects!

You can read a little bit of Emily's afterthoughts on her blog: as usual her efforts don't stop with the filmaking, but also involve getting the movie to be seen and known, through her blogged releases (hosted from multiple sources as backup), previewed by the movie stills post. Which I amiably razed for this post, recognizable from the Mile high stamp. :-)

I'll use this space to add something: first of all... You know when at parties someone inevitably mumbles about lag and someone else jokingly suggests that taking off clothes might help?

Well, I'll be damned: that's no joke at all !

Seriously: I opened the post mentioning how difficult making movies is, and this movie was a prime example, as Emily had to battle lag for quite a while. The filming had to go slightly overtime, just for how hard it was to film through the lag in its first part. Once clothes started disappearing, everything moved at a faster pace !

Which brings me to my next point: everyone was pretty much a trooper for this, staying from start to finish even through serious RL annoyances, stretching their online presence to the last possible moment and keeping their avi online as they had to leave for work. Which also means they sacrificed hours of sleep to rise up to the occasion.

Therefore, I am closing the post mentioning again the cast, with MissEmily23, Sandy Miggins, Scooby Mode, Adele Simondsen, Amia Edelmann, Anyka Aiseiri, Edvard Taurion, Erin Cedarbridge, Jet Black, Katina Cazalet, Katrinova, Luv GB, Nicasio Ansar, Partee Mytili, Rachel Avro, Traci Quandry, Zoey Winsmore. And, I am mentioning last Ali Lancrae, who on her blog published a really cool behind the scene!

Which was really cool: I love this type of features: previews and teasers and backstage photos, with such a big cast too, I am sure add a lot to the anticipation for the release, and the whole experience..

Spent 6 1/2 weeks filming this and 8 weeks editing. Several of the stars of this I had never meet before the casting call and were virtually unknowns.
The sex scenes were the easiest to shoot .The non sex scenes took some times 1 hour  for 1 minute in the final film cut, those parts I would call actual acting not pose ball riding and were the most rewarding parts of the movie.

This movie was so much different than my first 100 movies and I learned so much!!

My first post to the Pornstar Blog... yay! Many of you know me in the group.. those that don't i'm

Eva Brunswick.. I'm a photographer/model/actress in the sl porn world.  My newest thing

i've started and watching it grow.. is my in-world porn info center.. P.I.C ( porn info center).. seeing i love to help people as best i can  or steering them in the right direction of who can help them.. Serenity had the idea

of me doing a column in the blog on tips and advice from porn stars...so here is the first one..

A  week ago.. i was watching the chat in the group, like i do so many times. A new guy to the group

asked for some help on updating his look. Now that is one area i have NO clue where you guys shop. Few

ladies gave some suggestions and a guy or two..  Well... im a curious person.. for those that know me well.

So i asked a few guys for some advice and or places to go to...which was no easy task... that's like sacred information to some of you men out there.. *giggles*

First question... i asked..  was  where are the good places to go to for male skins? 

Belleza , UNIQUE MEGASTORE-The newer ones are good without the plastic nipples.

If you want a younger look, I go for one of The Body Co. Skins  ( from Scoob)

My current one is from Redgrave. I have a black skin from Telleq. The details on the face is brilliant, but I think the body is a bit over the top, but I am sure a lot wouldnt mind at all. 

 The general advice from a photographer is to have some facial and body hair. It makes the avi look more real somehow. 

Belleza also have good skins and Guarded Cross have some unique ones. I reckommend people to check out the store.   ( From Graham Collinson)

Male Hair.... where do you men shop for hair... ?

Redgrave, truth  But try to match it to your avi  . Some hairstyles just don't work with every and AVI

Hair for men is a nightmare. My first hair was from Damselfy. Then I got one from Laq. The one I have now is from UW, and is sadly very popular:)

Dura has some very interesting ones. I recommend to check them out  (Graham Collinson)

Any other male accessory stores that might be helpful and what they have?

I used to use Hoorenbeek a lot, and my inventory probably keeps like 90% of their store. Great shop, good quality and it can be useful to add yourself to their mailing list and check out the sales they have every weekend. Almost all the jeans I wear are from them. So are my shoes. Hoorenbeek has a wide selection of stuff. A little pricey though if you dont shop during their sales.

Guarded cross have some great stuff too. I go there regulary and is probably his best customer. His shirts and tops are awesome. As mentioned, he also makes skins. A well kept secret on sl:)

I should mention my friend Anna`s shop "Just because" too. She sells a lot of full outfits (except shoes) and she hand draws all the textures by hand. Good prices too.  (Graham Collinson)

Most Importantly... that all favorite male body apart that you men have to buy...your fav?

Aeros .. the only way to fly :P    ( Jamezz)

Get a nice cock such as the Aero's Nemo or the Xcite4.

make sure cocks is matched to skin for god sake,  and don't make them hang to your knees (Scoob)

I use an Aeros Magnus. I still think the Xcite cocks look better, but Aeros`is more useful in porn as you can move them as you wish. (Graham Collinson)

Any other advice?

Try to find something that makes your Avi Unique different .. but still sexy as hell .. cause if you don't want to look like every one else you want to stand out  ( Jamezz Doulton )

Check out the stores, and visit regulary. Get on their mailing lists and shop when its discounted. As a photograper my advice must be to tone down yourself a bit. On SL guys are far too big and almost impossible to adjust to animations. If you want to look real, keep some facial and body hair. 

Another piece of advice is to find your shape before your skin. But then again, I talk like a photographer now, not a fashion model.   ( Graham Collinson )

Go to parties, become friends, don't get pushy, and really at the end of the day learn to be productive yourself, I had a shitty ass laggy computer that got 2 frames per second all the time and still made a effort to make movies then and spent countless hours uploading. It isn't hard to make a video at all, sure you may not have the best graphics  just like me when I started but it's worth a shot instead of waiting on someone to cast you which could take ages.

If you are into photography, lean to take some pictures, do close ups and use the free photo editor called picmonkey.com to edit and make the pictures look 50 times better,  and also  adobe is even giving their CS2 products for free.  http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/  ( Scoob )
