Four (4!) years of monthly publications is without a doubt a great goal for any Second Life magazine. For these past four years with the consistency that has characterised his blogging efforts, Edvard Taurion has put together a product covering the inventive work of several designers, a service to the community that has no equal in and by itself. But of course, for the prestigious showcase that the 'printed press' is, it meant offering much more. Means four years of pin-ups who have featured a who's who of the adult industry, for once.

Tifa Lockhart (Evita Demonia) has been part of the world of SL porn for as long as I can remember, and seeing her in a magazine feature surely brought a smile to my lips. No doubt a real milestone for her: thanks to the expert direction of the photographer, she gets to look at her sexiest showing off all the arsenal of the accomplished model with a million Gil body.

Oh yes, it's the 4th of July! It's time to celebrate the time when the United States were finally free from the Brits, thanks to Will Smith! Okay, maybe I am mixing two things up... But I am sure I am not when it comes to...

No no, I've got this! Today is a very special day, and the opening of a long weekend of fun, grills and libations for all the friends in 'Murica, and on SL at large since we tend to get caught into the whole 'let's find a reason to party' spirit! And this party couldn't be timed any better....

Of course the issue released today is in perfect July the 4th taste: while I do not reccomend to grill it, I recommend to read it: most of the holiday spirit will get to you through the ever inspired reviews by Edvard Taurion himself, with several product in an eclectic range, peaking with a few who definitely can spice up your day. This is  truly a fun issue to peruse. Once more Jenny (genesis1984) shows her original take on the explorer duties of a sim coverage, with one of the most creative takes on a sim report I have ever had the pleasure to read. I invite you to check her writing up because it will subvert expectations, Rian Johnson style (hey she did start last time talking about light sabers...and okay no more Star Wars references)!

Jenny's contribution to the issue was again not limited to this already important and much coveted task, but she, pardon the directness, kicked major ass also with the pictorial spread of the Pet of the Month! This time the model was someone I already noticed and followed on flickr, the lovely Geralyn Yorkiv : the camera surely loves her features, a spendid body to be perused from every angle on a pose. Jenny picked some truly sensual shots and by the end of it, I am sure you will be left wanting even more.

And where would a SLC article from me be without a praise of its centerfold artist Kara Hawk ? It's too easy for me to this month again, because the spread of the fun loving Morriana Darkstar (which already is a model we know and love in the Sexiest Pornstar Group!) is fresh and creative. Kara turns Morriana into an action star straight from a John Woo (don't ask "who?"! It has doves and everything!) or Tarantino movie (minus the foot fetish). Yo gotta love this material. Simply put, again, it kicks ass!

Sooooo having mentioned that, come to the party! Do you need any reason? Of course not! It's a party and for a magazine worth celebrating for its fun nature and very inclusive spirit. Oh,  well, I guess there's also your reason, selfish as it is : you join the party, you are part of the next issue, easy peasy! Kristina Deschanel, the technical editor of the magazine, takes shots of everyone in the audience, often with really neat closeups which really will make you wonder "Wow how did she do that?". Hey! Today is June the 6th, and you know what that means! Haven't you been reading the papers? Well, start by taking a copy of...

On Tuesday, 6 June, 1944 the Allies invaded Normandy in Operation Overlord to liberate German-occupied France (and later Europe) from Nazi control, and lay the foundation for the Allied victory on the Western front. 
Why am I telling you this? Ha! Because I am directly quoting the magazine here, which decided in an inspired and thoughtful choice to dedicate its long running sim report feature exactly to the relevant date at hand, covering this time a location that lets you re-enact the heroic and much troubled times of WW2 in a four-sim combat and RP zone. Jenny (genesis1984) 's take is informative and detailed, laid out in clear terms and sneaks by a hint of sensuality in photos too, which is what we're all about, after all!

The Pet of the month pictorial has no lesser beauty of course, with a sizzling hot blonde by the name of Lavina Kraki. The girl's got a killer bod and those certain stirring qualities the camera loves. Jenny here does a magnificent job to capture them and you can appreciate her photography full-sized!

Having mentioned that, coming to the party will bring you an immediate chance and a surefire one to be in the next issue, by simply showing up! When a new staff member joins SL Connoisseur, I am always thrilled to report the fact, since if SL Connoisseur taught us anything during its editorial life is that it is not just a vehicle for different products - oh, and you will find plenty in this issue, brought to you with the tried and true Edvard Taurion style you all know...- and it's not just a sure way to be featured on a magazine by attending the next release party - oh and by the way , it is TODAY, May 2nd! Jenny brings a different style to the party shoots - and the guests bring their usual valuable assets!

Buuuut, it taught us also how magnificent of a showcase for talents it is.  When they are called to be part of the SL Connoisseur team, people express a lot of their potential . The photo above was taken by said latest addition to the roster: Jenny aka genesis1984. Big congrats to her because I'll have to mention her a lot again! Besides lightening a bit the load of the party photos duty from existing staff (and big props always go to Kristina 'Kiki' Deschanel  for her job as executive technical editor of the magazine, placing it all together!), Jenny takes over the sim duties, traditionally one of the most intriguing features of the magazine. This month's article from her is a mission statement and I do hope that many of you who have business to promote or simply hangouts to share will take a time to oogle/perv and get in touch helping shaping the future issues collaborating with her.

Anything that can be shown, it will be! That's clear as water here!

Taking a momentary break from the new girl, what about the second newest girl? September Red continues her run as Pet of the month photographer and doubles up as model here, taking that role by storm in a shoot that would be too easy for me to call "magical"....but I am not known for being difficult. Surely she conjures lewd thoughts in another sensually shot and nicely produced photo spread, check that out and you will surely agree!

I can see her work wonders in the levitation spells - getting quite a raise from the male audience!

And another time the now senior staffer, centerfold artist Kara Hawk reinvents herself with a new style for the feature. Kara has brought us plenty organic classic pinup centerfolds with clever twist in the past, and this one delivers in a brilliant meta fashion. Jenny Blossoms, this month's cover girl, is shown through several glam captures. A real beauty and the envy of many, Jenny immortalized in snapshots, shown printed as such, and with the use of vivid colors with wild energy in the desktop peeking underneath, makes for a truly compelling view. Another memorable cover girl photoshoot!

With all this said and done, it's time to once more tell you to come to the SL Connoisseur party! Amagad, that's like, today! Good news is, you don't have to dress -completely- for it!

And about ideas, well...it is a magazine that is bound to give you some REALLY naughty ideas when it presents this month too three attractive ladies in various state of undressing. Only one can be the cover lady , and the honor goes this month to Deanna Greene (xxdeannagxx), shot by the always inventive Kara Hawk, who for this month once more puts her photography (not to mention metereology and entomology) skillz to good use for a beautiful set that makes the model shine in a classy presentation. The contrast between the foxy lady with a strong diva makeup and the natural setting and choice of clothes, especially in the beautiful wet garments, is one more example of a magazine photoshoot that truly accomplishes what it is meant to do.

Who can deny climate change now, hm? Prob is, some may see it as a positive phenomenon now...

The Pet of the Month shoot does not want to play second fiddle though: the blonde beauty Morana Erin is a welcome return for the opening shoot of the magazine, her curves highlighted by perfect poses and angles with soulful lighting. You gotta love alluring displays like this and I am elated to report that it comes from a new collaborator to the magazine. Our readers are familiar with her, someone who made an impact on the scene in a short time - and some may have in fact eyed up also the very naughty behind the scene she posted, so rich in stories but also more than hinting at her sharp eye for classic pin up photography. September Red here keeps up with the tradition of talented artists who get with SL Connoisseur the incentive and platform to measure themselves with the world of magazine photography, complete with its rigors and requirements.

Speaking of which, this will be the last (at least in the near future!) issue with a sim photography report coming from Osiris LeShelle. Osi has brought to the feature a perfect mix of sharp photography, interesting interviews and a personable and so very involving narration. This month's article had the daunting task of presenting a sim mercurial and ephemeral, but at the same rich in history and features that requires to be 'lived' and explored. Osi really gave the article the perfect feel and I urge you to read it. I think one of the best qualities in her reports has always been the balance between the respectful embrace of the creators' vision for the sim, and the swinging spirit of explorer so apparent from her diaries.

SL: a world full of possibilities and we are happy to be reminded of that.

I do love March, and I do love magazines coming out on March, because, throughout the years in SL I often found them rockin' one of my favourite colours (I started SL with hair of this colour...don't judge!), and that is,  Green!
Second life loves some green in March, and in my country I would have never heard or celebrated a festivity such as St. Patrick day without SL to show me something about it. And this issue of SL Connoisseur surely does not disappoint. First and foremost tho, this issue is an issue full of festivities and celebrations. And I am not just talking about THE party, like...

Ah, I got so many free rides on the back seat of that car in my day!

No no, this issue has a great mood, taking the most exciting aspect of the month ! It covers that Mardi Gras feeling through Osiris LeShelle's usual fine work, this time in a trip to New Orleans, in SL of course! Her sweet blend is at work here, with the interview with the creator(s) and her own playful narration. Osi always manages to inform you about points of interest in the sim and the whole feel of it guiding you through it both in words and through her photography. Her sim reports are comprehensive but also a very personal experience I find compelling: even when she covers places I have already visited, her tour diaries make me wish to retrace her steps and see the place under a different light!

Definitely a green light when it comes to the modeling features of the magazine, and yes, I just love St Patrick's Day. Again we have two main pictorial features, and like last month I feel like highlighting first the beautiful work done by the 'junior' staffer of the magazine, DJIceQueen. Not only I am quite fond of her photography, always subtly erotic in the choice of poses and lights, but also because of the fact that her feature brings on the pages of the magazine a longtime Sexiest Pornstars member like Azura Lowbeam.

You know, according to Zeno, Harmony should never be able to reach the gnome...

The centerfold model for the issue is Harmony Jones, the classic bodacious beauty you'd definitely want to get lucky with, no beer goggles needed! Kara Hawk keeps up with the tradition, not only with a themed photoshoot more Irish than a rainbow cast on a leprechaun bathing in Guinness, but first and foremost her own tradition: infusing the shots with the kind of levity that only highlights the beauty of the model, giving that 'joie de vivre' vibe that truly makes a pin-up shine. There's always at least one photo in Kara's pictorials you have never seen before anywhere, and Kara without a doubt has sharp photography instincts and is one of the most original of her kind.

Okay, with all that being said: it's time to party, and bring it on! One more gorgeous find appeared last issue and can flaunt in her modeling portfolio a magazine feature! And just doing what? Showing up looking great!
