Hello! Pornstars - Golden Cocks edition!!!

Yesterday it was one of those very special Award times that give the SL porn world some much deserved glam and pomp: it was time for the 2016 Second Life Porn Star Awards, affectionally called 'The Golden Cocks"

Now we know what she was practicing that dance for !

Making 'global' awards for the community is, as we know very well on The Sexiest Pornstars blog a big task and these 'other' awards in their 5 editions never tried to, choosing instead to give some of the recognition and aknowledgement to what the 'judges' know best: the work of their own studios. The combined work of Miss Emily's Studio, Zoey Winsmore's Naughty Pixel Productions, Erin Cedarbridge's Club E, these awards, originated as most of you know as sort of a parody, were still a big service to the community at large for 2 reasons...

Theater

Number one: Award shows are fun! This was open to everyone and many people attended. Lag was not a big issue despite a not so stringent scripts limit, and everyone had a good time. Red carpet pictures were taken for nominees and guests, you can find them on the SL Porn blog, followed by a cool afterparty.

Emily

Number two: They reflect what went on through the year. As Miss Emily said in her closing statement of the evening, about the movie who won the Golden Cock for their best movie of the year:
" From the moment this movie was conceived there really was little doubt this movie would be movie of the year. A cast of 50 +, 101 minutes, countless sex scenes, guy/girl, lesbian & orgy. There have only been two other movies like this made in Second Life and they won for best movies 2013 & 2014!!!"

Zoey Winsmore-Reinoir - 1

There wouldn't be awards without something to celebrate (and not the other way around), and that was for sure the efforts of production studios who try to put together ambitious projects, sometimes but not necessarily with a large cast, moving to 'the next level' the adult filmaking in SL. And celebrates also all the people in it who took part even in small roles. Breaking through in movies is a difficult task, but thankfully there are active studios who give chances throughout the whole year.

Erin Cedarbridge - 1

Enjoy the afterparty photos by Sunday Whitewood, photos by Racheal Rexen from the party the night before the ceremony (hers is the red carpet coverage for Emily's blogs, not to mention Tammy Jones' excellent photoset I posted a few pics from!), look down for a list of the winners, and expect a little more later as we look into the past... and into the future.

Serial Clickers - Pick a Card!

You might think that I am being a day ahead for topliss tuesday, but nope! This is one of those posts who are meant to celebrate those exciting ventures by Sexiest Pornstars group members. Today it's the turn of the red hot (and hot red) Terri Topliss, who concluded what is just the first phase, first deck to be exactly, of her Pornstars Playing Cards set.

Queen Of Hearts Joker (Black)

Needless to say, this deck isn't just a testament to Terri's ingenuity and consistency, but also to the creativity of the various models involved, it's easy to see why.
In fact, Terri has been kind enough to share with us a bit more of what went on through this project, so, time to let her speak, don't you think? Enjoy!

- When did you get the idea of making this project?

" So, at the beginning of November I had an idea of doing a Queen of Hearts card for Topless Tuesday, I figured it would be fun and something different. I wasn't expecting how people would react, or to be getting IMs asking if they could do one. I thought about it and decided to do an entire deck. Still, I only asked thirteen models because I honestly didn't think I could get fifty four models to do it. As it's gone on, I've found I probably could have."

Queen of Diamonds 2 of Spades

- Was it difficult to coordinate a set of this type with the various models?

"It wasn't too bad, though I did learn a few things about it as I went. Usually I'd let my models know I was ready for their shoot, making sure they were all ready too, and then set a time to do it. It's really just a case of keeping you end goal in sight, and of course having it all written down so you know who is done, who is next, and who is coming up."

- Did you need to get involved a lot in their choice of look, or at all, on average?

" For most of my cards shoots I didn't have any at all, it was all my models. I did make a few suggestions on set now and then, usually getting her to remove her bra or panties, then showing her my shot with and without, asking which she liked better. There were a couple of times I had a choice between two outfits when it came to editing, but for most of my sessions what you see is on her card is what she choose as an outfit herself. I think that overall, they did really well in their choices."

Jack of Clubs 8 of Clubs

- Has the set turned out as expected, has it 'evolved' in unexpected ways, considering a big part of it lies also on the choices the models make with their outfits?

" I think that the biggest surprise was the way in which my Clubs Cards evolved into a quite obvious BDSM style. This wasn't planned at all, it was just how it ended up going as each card was shoot. Of course when it got to my own shoot for my 8 it has been pretty well established, so I went with it and did my whole collared and chained submission look as a cherry on top."

7 of Hearts 3 of Spades

- How long on average does it take to you to set it up, take the shot, edit your pictures for the set and most importantly, come up with those witty one-liners to introduce them in the pic descriptions?

" Oh my, this really is a curly one, haha. Things changed as shooting progressed. We started out with my first few sittings in my mobile studio parked on Miss Em's Porn*Stars Club beach. Later I had my own studio with lights and a backdrop, so shooting changed and so did time it took. I also learned tricks that allowed faster editing, so instead of taking an hour for each card, I was taking an hour to edit all four cards. Shooting was similar, early shoots could take up to two hours to get my four final cards out of what would have been between ten and twenty shots.

Later I was taking only two or three for each card, one of which was a background change to help with my editing, and I was finishing in nearer to an hour. My one liners I usually came up with as I was posting. I actually think I started to scrape the bottom of the barrel towards my final few posts though, and now I have to come up with over fifty more."

- I know you don't want to play favourites, but is there any card in particular from this set that comes to mind, brings you some memory?

" Picking a favourite would be really hard, I have so many. In a way I actually enjoyed my first shoots most, not because of who was modeling or their outfits, but rather it wasn't quite as serious. Being on a beach and using a home made pose ball and lights, it was a lot of fun. A lot of work too. Having my studio now is great and it makes taking the shots a lot easier and faster, but shoots now tend to also have become a lot more professional and they have lost a bit of that girls just having a good time feeling.

One more interesting shoot was the first where my studio is now. This was still with using my mobile studio so here we were, myself and my model, standing on this tiny platform high up in the sky over my club's pool. I was sure that at any moment I was going to accidentally walk backwards and fall off, ending up landing in it.

Queen of Clubs Ace of Diamonds

On outfits... I guess Adele's Queen, that one started a craze, haha. I have to say that I am very anti-smoking, I don't like it at all and so when she included a cigarette in her costume I was quite against it. I even took a number of shoots without her holding it, but when I was editing and looking through them, I realised that the best shot, it was of her holding it, and so it made it in even against my better judgment. "

- ......do you even like card games in RL?

" I do actually, I even play a bit of online poker, though it didn't really figure into my doing this. The funny thing is I ended up with a real deal of cards sitting on my computer desk so, after making a couple of mistakes, I could check them to make sure that I got each card right. Sadly, in my album, there are a few that have mistakes.

Sandy's 8 of Hearts has hearts positioned incorrectly. Aura's name is too large a font size, and I misspelled Racheal's name on her first two cards. A couple of people have noted that my Queen of Hearts is missing a name, but as I said earlier, it was first, so at that point I wasn't naming them. "

7 of Clubs Jack of Hearts

- I know (insider sources, ahem) that there's a new deck in the making! Can you tell us something more about it, and other projects from Sharess Studio?

" Hehe, yes. I'm starting shooting, either very shortly, or possibly will have already started when this comes out. I think I have thirteen of the best models I didn't use in my first deck, though also still keeping to having a few that aren't as well known. Part of doing this deck is working out how to keep it consistent to my first, but also make it fresh. That is going to be a challenge.

6 of Hearts 4 of Hearts

There are a few more projects, I think most of those that know my work are now aware of my 50 Cowgirls project, basically taking a cowgirl sex position shot with a different actress each week for a year. My other projects are a bit more fluid in when and where. I do have a comic book scripted and will be working on shoots for that over the coming year as time and finances allow. I have an idea that was a flow on from the Playing cards, but I was beaten to that one just in the last few weeks, so I'm holding off on it for a bit while I do my second deck.

Also I really want to bring these cards in world as well. You know, we take these photos and they are viewed by several thousand people over the course of 4-5 days, and then.... that's it. I really want to do something where these pictures have a more permanent place in our in game lives, I started two projects for this, the first being inworld card games where players will be able to load my decks into it and even choose which cards to put into their own decks to play with. The second I tested over Christmas by sending it out to my fans.

7 of Spades 8 of Diamonds

This idea is for those that would like some of those cards that have been shot, or even have themselves on some cards. For it I'm creating a frame that holds either 4 of 5 cards, allowing them to order their own card collection as a poker hand or otherwise just any four cards they want.. I do still need to do a little bit of work on it to make it is ready for sale, but I do hope that people will like it and buy their favourite girls, or even come and get themselves added to a poker hand of their choice.."

Again today I had the pleasure to speak with a sexy model, photographer and actress who enjoys blogging for her fans and followers. Thanks so much to Terri for her time, to the gorgeous Sandy, Aura, Adele, Arienne Evangeline, Cream Release, Racheal Rexen, Monique LeFry, Partee, Donna Linn, Athena, Isabelle Cheviot, Selina Anatra for gracing this article with their beauty,  and to you readers for, ya know, reading!

Doing it Greek-style: Virgil's "Mythos"

The end of 2015 and beginning of this year have put in the books a variety of really ambitious projects, showing how the adult arts enthusiast can have such impressive scope and range. When it comes to show the unique creative mix that some of the talented and experienced group members bring to the table, 'Pornstars' is just a name, often misleading for the type of effort required and the complexity of the project.

Some really Epic projects, to use a term used (quite appropriately so!) by a famous porn producer about movies.  But today I am dealing with something definitely 'epic', but not a movie!

This is a SL comic, and a really impressive one at that! A graphic novel, perhaps. You know, it sounds cooler and more edgy. But no jokes here, as all you need to do is glimpse here at this blog address (or on Issuu ) to grasp the complexity of this project and just imagine the effort required to do something of this magnitude. The artifex of this elaborate story is a familiar name for our porn-goer crowd, and I leave right away to him the task to describe what it is. Enjoy the interview with Virgil (virgilius08 Resident) !

- First of all: what is the concept behind 'Mythos' and how did you come up with it?

" I got the idea for Mythos last summer. I was in a pub with some friends and all of sudden the convo land to the political situation in Greece, which was a main topic all around Europe in those times. One of my friends made a comment about how the politics looks like Greek Gods who decide about people's destiny. That phrase was like a spark, and when I got back home I kept reading about Greek Mythology, to see if I could make that concept become real.

The main track of Mythos is the 'Power', who holds the power in the world we live today, and how it's used. The mythology offers infinite possibilities to develop that concept.

So for example Ares, the God of the cruel war, becomes the weapon-trafficker, while Athena, the Goddess of the 'Noble War', is an Army General; Haephestus runs a High Technology Society while Helios is the CEO of an Energy Company. I re-arranged greek myths, like the myth of Tantalus, but also situations of the greek mythology, like in the scene of Helios and Apollo. There's not a real myth about that episode, but it refers to the fact that through the years the Greek population began to worship Apollo as the God of Sun instead of Helios, even if Helios stayed as the official God of Sun.
I want to point out that in Mythos the Gods are not supernatural entities. They are humans like everybody else, but thanks to their privileged position in the society they can decide about people's fate. In Mythos you will never see men turned into animals or plants, but they will rather put in positions that can be considered like that.

'Heat City Chronicles' is built around Viktor Clay, whose story will explode in a shock at the end of the second episode ( on which I'm working in these days ). In Mythos instead, there is not a main character, but the storyline develops around the situations of the various Gods. This also reflects the general setting of the two series. In HCC the spotlight is on the human, on his torments and his passions, while in Mythos I try to talk about today's society, the way I see it. "

- Yes, because this is in fact not your first comic in SL: are there more episodes of Heat City Chronicles and Mythos planned? What do you plan to do next?

" I'm already working on the second episode of Heat City Chronicles, even if, since those are bigger stories, I'll probably release another issue of Mythos before it.

One page from "Heat City Chronicles: Objection", Virgil's other ongoing production

I also have ideas for several new productions, and I'm working on the script of a movie, which I hope to produce in collaboration with a director who could be interested in the project. I wish to carry out each of these ideas, but as you know these works require a lot of time and effort, and I can't focus on them all together.
So let me take advantage of this space to tell that anybody who would like to collaborate with VIR Studios in one of ours productions, or to work on your own projects with our help, we would be happy to have you in the team. You'll find out we are very friendly and open to listen and support anybody's ideas. If you're a photographer, a writer, a director, a model, a decorator or anything else, feel free to contact me ( Virgilius08 ). Working together we can make your ideas and our ideas to come true."

- Not a surprise, but making a comic is a huge effort. Tell us a bit about how long did it take to put this comic together, what did you start doing first, and in general give us an idea of what you did from the initial concept to the final product.

" Mythos needs a special work because it also needs a time to study the Greek myths, and to find a way to adapt them. In general I can tell you that the first step is to write down the script. It helps you to order the mess of ideas in your mind, and also to realize what you really need to do a work like that. When the script is ready, I look for the sets. SL is a magic world with a lot of possibilities, but not everything is possible, so sometimes I have to change some scenes because I just can't realize them. In these project the editing of each single page is tricky, because you must consider the spaces for the photos to make sure they fit in the page, and in each photo you must consider where to put the dialogues, so planning everything ahead is a must. When everything is ready, I select the cast.

It's important to match everybody's timings and sometimes it's hard because you have to say NO to friends, but that can become a dumper to the whole production. Tho I can tell you that this was not the case for Tantalize, because each of the models has been incredibly helpful through the whole process, and I'm very grateful to each of them."

- And I am sure you have plenty of people who collaborated with you to this big effort...This is your chance.

" For sure the best part about working on Tantalize is that I got the chance to meet some persons I didn't know before, and that I consider as true friends now.
Ember Rose supported me when Mythos was just an idea spinning through my mind, and lead me through the way to make it become true. She has been crucial in each aspect of the production, and most of the credits for the accomplishment of Tantalize are hers.
Rachel has been just amazing through the whole time in which we worked together. It's not easy to tolerate me when it's about work, but we've been in tune since the first shoot and I couldn't ask for a better actress for that role, who was probably the most demanding.

Tantalize

A little "working" shot from the comic

Rob, Larry, Dillon, Carter and Jagger are incredible guys. Rob's effort to this project was further Second Life, and he did everything to help me in the shooting. I couldn't thank him enough for that. Larry is probably the perfect model, he is an amazing guy and an absolute team worker, it's a pleasure to work with him. Carter, Dillon and Jagger have my same approach to things, and I felt comfortable working with them. Dillon also helped me with the script, like Jude did, and that is a crucial point in the production process because they must cope with my language limits. Dillon's feedback helped me to go toward the right direction.

Jude is probably my closest friend here in SL, and she's the only person it the world who can really understand what I say, ahah. You, Katina, also helped me in one troubl-ish moment, and that was way more important to me than you realize. Cassandra is a dear friend of mines and she's a must in all my productions. Adele and Cinnabuns are damn sexy women, but they are also lovely girls and great models too. Cameron is a very nice and available guy, he is a perfect fit in any cast.
Each of these guys embraced the project like their own work since Day 1, and I'm very thankful to each of them for the effort and dedication. Out of the people directly involved in the project, I couldn't produce anything without Shane, a very great friend who lets me to use his facilities and to invade his spaces with my stuff. His support is incredible, and he is one of the main reasons for which i can realize these works."

- Is there anything you learned here from experience on your previous comic book issues ? Do you have advice for aspiring comic-makers?

" While working on the first episode of Heat City Chronicles I made thousands of mistakes, and the result was that it took me infinite time to accomplish it. Thanks to that experience I realized that the most important thing in a work like this is organization. The production of a comic is a very complex work, where you have to look after each aspect of the production. While working at these things you can run downhearted... DON'T GIVE UP ! It's a lot of work, but you'll be happy to see the final product of such an effort."

Thank you SO much to Virgil, for the time spent elaborating this interview with me, and most importantly for the great project this writeup tries to do at least some justice to.
There are so many incredibly complex labours of love in SL, from sexy movies to superbly crafted pictures to even painstalkingly detailed sims and nicely planned events. So much of it, and I am glad when you decide to take time to share some of what you put in it. It can be inspiring to others, and simply fun and rewarding to put it into words and think back about it. Thanks for taking this journey together!

The Pornstars' Rack: Crimbo mags !

If you thought that the best British contribution to Xmas are "Love Actually" and that Scrooge guy, well, think again because this year we have also....

Brit-X

Britannia XXX issue 9

The Brit-X December issue, of course!
Yes, I love to see quality pictorials , it's one of the reasons why magazines deserve attention in the crowded world of SL photography. And this issue of Brit-x doesn't fail to deliver that, gift-wrapping for you sensational models!

Could someone named 'Holly' miss the Xmas issue of the magazine? Thanks to Carter's set , she did not!

This issue's official lineup sees two jaw-dropping beauties shot by Laredo Lowtide in his usual creative fashion and with yet another cover-quality effort, plus a photo spread of a sophisticated looking Roxxxy Foxdale by Nicasio Ansar, Adele Simondsen always ready to leave her mark in a festive issue, and Sasquatch Rhino catching Partee in her natural habitat.

Partee bares it all (more than usual, if that was possible!) thanks to Sasquatch Rhino

Carter Holloway also does double duties shooting magazine owner and exemplar model Kat Kassner, and the equally stunning Holly Arkright. Kat and another true Brit-x girl, the already mentioned Roxxy, are also the final models of Carter's Advent Calendar project (darn, it's really over between him and Dolly I guess...): just one little reference to one of the most remarkable projects in our SL xmas, which put me in a rather festive mood, too!

2015 Advent Calender

Not on the magazine, but it's topical, festive and they are ALL part of this issue, so come on!

I must say that the addition of the 'Brit-x Xtra' section is another testament to the sheer beauty of the girls that you can normally see on this magazine, and that appear or have appeared already and certainly will appear again in dedicated photoshoots. Brit-X is also the only magazine so far to release posters, and trust me when I tell you, that they are certainly worth a look, and even have a place at your establishment. And you can look at all this for free, of course, through in-world kiosks, asking Kat Kassner or Laredo Lowtide a copy, or seriously, just on Marketplace!

Adele is a gorgeou Santa baby in her own shoot, and graces the'Xtra'section too, with Margie,Paige and other hotties!

Simply enough, I cannot wait till the regular parties at Brit-X will beging again, after the bittersweet time that holidays on SL are, where people can end up being busier with their RL than during the regular work schedule. Brit-X has brought us many fun nights and thankfully Kat, Laredo and the crew keep bringing quality photography to the adult entertainment scene. A huge thank you to them, and I hope the new year will bring great news for their various enterprises!

Show me your magazine, and i'll feature it here! I love to help you showcase your efforts!
