Get it? May. Three. Because today is the... Ah come on, like all those May the Force jokes are THAT clever, huh! Let's talk now about mags, and once more by kind request I love to showcase here the newest, FREE issue of...
SL Connoisseur
Working hard and partying even harder, right? I like to begin the post reminding you what usually gets on the bottom of the post, which is, the release party for the current issue! Issue that you find here:
https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/SL-Connoisseur-Magazine-May-2018/14567781
The party features the regular DJ of these parties, and fresh Surfer's bay Baygirl Leannan McCormick, and brings something unique to this type of event and that I like to remind to the many Sexiest Pornstars aspiring to get their break: attending this party will land you a spot on the next issue. You will show up in the party pics roll that opens the issue, and, if you truly stand out, you could end up like the gorgeous Lonah Criss, with a full Party Star spread!
So yeah, you gotta come over today Thursday 5th at 11 AM SLT http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/ADRENALINA/207/113/3502 !
For one more party with Leannan's music, pics and raffle prize by Kristina "Kiki" Deschanel, hard working at the party AND during the making of the magazine, since she gels all the content together as Executive Technical Editor!
And of course the opportunities to be in this mag for promotion of any kind can and will open up, since every party brings chances to get in touch with the people who actually make the magazine starting with the head honcho mr. Edvard Taurion, Never underestimate the power of, you know, showing interest and connect!
Theia's pictorial makes graceful and creative use of props in a lovely, erotic display
Now, as for the issue: the staff of SL Connoisseur delivered another instance of the balanced mix of commercial features made by Edvard in his well tested style that you can read daily on his blog, plus the glam of a lifestyle magazine...an adult one at that! The splendid covergirl Dee aka Dictatorshop embodies this dual soul of the magazine quite well! In another stunner of a pictorial by Theiasky, featuring .
Kara brought the devil out in the angelic Amia! Hmm, you say it did not take a lot?
The pet of the month spread as well shows that the feature takes no ancillar role to the covergirl spot: it features one of the best known starlettes on the scene in Amia Jordan-Fizzle, and the shoot was executed by Kara Hawk, who is really spreading her wings as photographer. You can tell she conducted it as an original progression that showcases the...dual soul, again, of the model, from nice to so very naughty! Props to everyone involved in the two shoots, that's the kind of pictorial that really benefits from a magazine platform.
A taste of the orient in Osiris' voyage.
If you have been reading what I have been writing on this blog post, you probably are the kind of person who is gonna *read* the magazine and not just oogle at the boobs (nothing AT ALL wrong with that, btw!). In that case, besides Ed's interview and the promotional material from the featured content creators, I strongly suggest to get to Osiris Leshelle's chat with the owner of Ahiru. Once more, Osiris showcases the place with beautiful photography, involving writing and a perfectly flowing interview with the daimyo of the land himself.
Partygoers, girls of the month, sexiest pornstars!
Allright! It's just time to say bye for another month, remind you again about the party at 11 AM SLT, the mag to get on MP aaaaand...

The Pornstars' Rack: Attention, Please!
There would be so many puns about the name of this one, but this will be a totally serious post!
Attention Magazine

This May has seen the debut of a few more quality productions in the world of erotic magazines. I'd say 'porn', but as we had to point out many times, one of the most palatable concept when it comes to making a SL mag is to put together a 'lifestyle' publication. In the case of this new Attention Magazine, the mix of marketable mainstream attractions and openminded recognition of the sexy and sexual side of SL, is a very fruitful one. And it couldn't be any different, with the kind of names this magazine has in the staff, beginning from the co-owners Athena, Jon Demen and Rachel Avro.
Now, Athena has been so kind to answer my third degree interrogation, so I'll leave room to her interview!
- First and foremost, congratulation at what I consider a fantastic first issue. You already matured a certain experience in SL magazines: tell us when did you and your crew get the idea to make a new magazine and what made you think it was an idea worth pursuing?
" I had the luxury of being introduced to the SL magazine world by Edvard Taurion. I will always be grateful to him for taking a chance on a newcomer. I learned a lot about the SL world in general and magazines in particular. My time on SL Connoisseur is something I'll always cherish and I'll never take it for granted. There is no question in my mind that I would not be in the position I'm in without him and I would like to publicly thank him.
However, after five months, the time had come for us to go our separate ways. I had no intention of starting my own magazine, but my boyfriend Jon Demen, as well as some close friends encouraged me. Yana Grau in particular. So, I sat down with some old photos I had taken and tried out a few things. I discovered my love of making a magazine hadn't died and I felt like I still had something to offer. So, I talked to Jon and Yana and Rachel Avro and some other folks and suddenly, I had a magazine. "
The talented Rachel Avro is the cover photographer and co-owner of the magazine
- As you said in the introduction, you aim to be 'eclectic yet cohesive, and a lot of fun'. Share with your readers if you please how your first issue was born.
" There are so many different ways to live a Second Life. The magazine aims to show different ways different people have done it. As I talk to some of the various people who appear in the magazine, I find that no two stories are alike. We have a charming article coming up in the June issue that's going to make everyone say "Awwwwwww." I'd like to think that without Attention, no one would have dreamed this particular person is such a sweetie pie. I feel privileged that we get to show this side of him and that he trusted us to do it properly.
One of the hardest parts about giving birth to that first issue was coming up with a name to encapsulate it all. First of all, all of the good porn possibilities were taken. How I wish Busted or Aroused had been available as choices! I wore out the online thesaurus looking for different ways to say what I wanted to say. I had a pretty active campaigner in Brea Brianna suggesting "SL Hot," which might have been perfectly acceptable. Then "Attention" got into my head and I couldn't let it go. I can't imagine it being called anything else.
The first important decision I made was not to try to put out a first issue for April. I needed time to decompress. I also wanted to take my time on things. Jon and I kicked around a lot of thoughts and ideas. One day, he said "You should cover automobiles and boats and trains. Things that move. There are a lot of people who like those kinds of things on SL." I said, "Great, you're hired!"
The magazine features personalities from our 'porn' world in particularly interesting interviews and articles.
Anyone who knows me in SL knows I can't even ride a bicycle. The only real experience I have is looking good on a boat while my former partner and I sailed around. I said, "Try Bandit Boats." So Jon goes to one of the most successful boat makers in SL, Analyse Dean. To our utter shock, she agreed. Jon and I pretty much stalked Dutch Harbor, taking picture after picture of boats in varying windlights. That was the first article and really set the tone. He wrote it himself and then I edited and re-edited it until I had the look, font, and feel that I wanted. Everything else in the magazine grew out of that one article.
I was really excited when Rachel Avro decided to come on board. We have a similar aesthetic, I wanted her as the lead photographer to create the cover. I was very clear to her that she would have the final say in who she hired. Her first choice for the first issue was Louise Kristan-Faulds. I didn't even know her! I had never talked to her, but it was important to Rachel, so I told her to book it. I think the result of our first cover speaks for itself.
That's my philosophy. I trust these people to take good pictures. Period. I can't babysit them, nor should I have to. They are all talented adults. If I don't trust their judgment, I have no business working with them. I try to walk the line between providing support vs. smothering them. I never want them to groan when I log on. Our magazine staff group is a place for jokes and letting off steam, asking each other questions and just general chit chat. They give me some great work and in return, I try not to screw up the work they give me. It's a give-and-take relationship. They are all super.
As to the "eclectic yet cohesive" aspect, you're going to see that come together in subsequent issues. Think of an apple? You can eat an apple, you can paint one, you can turn it into a pie, make juice. You can give it to your teacher. You can write a story about Johnny Appleseed. Apples represent a lot of different things to different people. So we're going to take one idea and look at it from a lot of different directions.
Whimsical Aristocrat brings her solid photography and writing experience to the team
Regarding building the team, I had a couple of people I was leaving behind on SL Connoisseur (Whims and Isle) and felt I owed to them personally to let them know of my plans. Sadly, they were also thinking of leaving and were both excited about some of the ideas I had been kicking around.
I had worked with Partee before, she was a natural choice to work in fashion. Rachel brought her on board. Then Jamie joined us to cover builds. I was super excited to work with BeeQueen Smythe agains as well. If you look at a single page of one of her comics, there are 9-10 pictures there. She always does a minimum of 3 pages, so that's a lot of work! Moreover, her comic really tied the whole first issue together. She's fun to brainstorm with and brings a whole European perspective to the team.
The final hire was Brunella Voelisa. She had wrapped up her work for Isa Cheviot and was looking for a new project. She was another hire by Rachel and is so easy to work with ... always professional and polite. She just likes to interview people, tell their stories in their own words. She's our Barbara Walters ... she's going to be introducing you all to a lot of cool people.
My secret weapon is Brea Brianna. OMG, that girl could sell an ice cube in Alaska. She's just unreal. She was the one who landed the Chop Zuey article for May. That article was probably my favorite .... although it's a tie between that one and the article with Sasquatch Rhino. They both represented a big jump for me creatively and for the setting the tone of the magazine as a whole.
We have a surprise or two up our sleeves for June. Stay tuned! "

Brea Brianna has a very factive collaboration with the magazine, and of course appears also as model
- A professional presentation is very important, and your magazine has a very well made layout, with some lovely touches. What sort of tools do you use to 'make' the magazine, and do you have any advice to give to anyone with the ambition to make a new magazine (and there are many!)
" The first thing I did was buy some of my favorite magazines and really looked at what they looked like. I pretty much had to scrap everything I had learned in my time editing the previous magazine I worked on. I didn't want to be accused of plagiarism.
I work primarily in Photo Shop, with some occasional tweaking with a free Internet program called iPiccy. PhotoShop is such an amazing program, I learn something new about it all the time. My edited skills have skyrocketed, which is great for my own photography. Instead of constantly having to reshoot or ask my photographers to reshoot it, most things I can fix now.
(Except for hair. Does anyone know how to fix hair? I have a job for you!)
One of the 'test' covers laying the foundation for the finished look
My biggest advantage is my close friend, Eleni Criss. She works in advertising in RL and had some really great insight into how a professional publication should look. When I was creating that first Bandit Boat article, I would send her every version of every page and she would go over it with a fine tooth comb.
At the end of the day, though, it was my creation. Some of her advice I took, but sometimes I stood my ground. One example was the font. I got hooked on Times New Roman pretty early. With the exception of the signature on the second page, it's the only font used in Attention magazine. Fortunately, it comes in regular, italics, bold and bold italics, so we can vary it up a bit. I like it. It's crisp, clean and very easy to read.
The best advice Eleni gave me was using white background behind the text. We use two colors for text, black and white, depending on whether we're typing on something dark or light. I think it gives everything that same crisp, clean, professional look we were looking for.

Amia Jordan is one of the sexy models brought in by Partee for her article. Also featured, Erinyes Celestalis and Aerala.
Let's face it ... my staff is killer. I have some super artists working for me. You don't take a picture by Partee Mytili or Rachel Avro or the rest of them and scrunch it down so you can't see it or distort it beyond recognition. That's another premise of Attention: The pictures are the star.
My advice to someone new would be to think about your concept. What are you creating? Are there magazines like them in the real world? Buy some and look them over. You could create a magazine about grunge music and use a pretty, flowing font, but it wouldn't look right or excite your reader. Make a dummy page and show it to people. Get their feedback. Try it a few dozen ways and then go with your gut.
Finally, don't go into the magazine world expecting to make money in SL. If you break even at first, great. Worry about the work, the product. Create something beautiful that you can be proud of ... if you make money, that's just gravy. "

A personal choice as highlight of the issue, as mentioned by Athena: a look at the 'Make me pose' magic by Sasquatch
- After just one issue it is probably too early to ask, but i am curious if after the feedback you received you already have new ideas about the magazine. Also, please remind our readers what they can/should do to appear in Attention, as models, writers, or perhaps to promote their initiatives?
" The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. My biggest goal is that every member of my staff would feel appreciated and want to stick around for the second issue. I can't afford to pay them. Jon and Rachel aren't just my right and left hands. They are my right and left lungs. The three of us talked a lot about what was important and what wasn't important. I made them co-owners of Attention, which is very much a shared vision. That a magazine has thee owners may sound like a hot mess, but it really works for us.
Secondly, I want a staff that feels inspired. Instead of finding reasons they can't do something, I find reasons to say "yes." I can't think of anything that someone pitched to me that we didn't run with .... our philosophy become, "If you can do it in SL and it's not a violation of the TOS, I want to cover it."
If you're a model looking to appear in Attention, we created a model's group. You can find it here:
secondlife:///app/group/0fb42c13-e07a-00d1-dddf-4e02dcc63d1d/about

Another draft for a cover. As you can see, it can take different tests before you get to find 'the' look for the magazine.
If you're a writer/photographer and you're interested in either doing a one-time feature or joining the staff of Attention, please drop me a notecard with your ideas. We have one of two specific areas in which we want to cover. Who knows, we might be thinking in the same direction. I want people to pursue the things they are interested in, however. Jamie Wolf came to me from Flickr. We had shared a few mutual admiration messages there and when I told him I was starting a magazine, he was interested and came aboard just like that. He's invaluable and his photography has been growing daily.
That leads me to the most important idea behind Attention: A staff that is creatively inspired will produce wonderful things. I encourage them to do their own things and follow their creative muse where ever it leads them. It can be a shock to the system, but I think they all love it. Partee Mytili just finished an exhibition. Brea Briana just finished a movie and is opening her own club. They all have active Flickrs ... yet they give me 110% when it comes to their efforts for Attention. I really can't speak highly enough of the whole team.
Finally, we do have a presence on SL Marketplace. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/183312
We have a goal to have an Internet version of the magazine as well. Stay tuned! "
Stay tuned indeed! The next issue of Attention will hit the virtual stands in barely a week, and it will be packed with content, and launched with a Pornstar Party at Club Yana
As usual, feel free to contact me anytime in-world your work for a blog feature!

Slutty Tuesday at Stepford
Last year saw an ever growing number of new filmakers in the SL porn scene, mixed with 'old lions' who keep being around and find inspiration through new work, and a lot of people who simply enough produce videos not everyone knows about....and they should! I appreciate enormously your collaboration in this sense, as I look to feature the most diverse amount of adult machinima.
However, I think also that for the amount of effort put in some videos, a little bit of extra fanfare is needed. It's the case of the movie who was a couple days ago officially aknowledged and awarded by friends and peers in the ceremony at Miss Emily's Golden Cock awards.

After my first interview with her, my idea for a post about Erin Cedarbridge's The Stepford Sluts was to celebrate a little more her award-winning achievement by quoting some of her actors' comments about it.
I asked them to tell me a bit about their experience on set and the reaction to the finished movie, which I thought, was going to be interesting, especially considering how much of a reimagination (not to mention, inventive pornification) of the original movie this ended up to be. In some ways being 'closer' to the original movie than Frank Oz's.
Long story short: some of the actors involved exceeded by far my expectations with their narrations and the way they aknowledged and gave recognition to the monumental task and lucid planning skills by Erin; some if not all grabbed awards and nominations that night and I didn't feel like editing their comments out too much. I have still much other feedback to feature, but for now enjoy this batch of comments about their experience filming one Emily-esque Epic Movie! (and thanks so much to all the others I have not published -yet).

'Stepford sluts' was first relayed to me a an idea by Erin Cedarbridge in June of 2015, she im'd and asked me if i would be interested in playing the role of Mike Wellington alongside Emily, of course naturally I jumped at the chance! Within a short while a cast list was assembled that would be added to and revised as time went on; it eventually encompassed a virtual 'who's who' of SL porn and that is why the movie had such a focal point, it was an idea that became a reality to touch all of our lives here.
I do think that it is one of the groundbreaking SL drama movies that has evolved the industry to another level begun by Emily's 'Legs wide spread'. 'Stepford sluts' , initially started as a serialised 4 part movie was reissued as a full feature length production so as the entire experience can be enjoyed.
The filming of actual scenes was easier than you might imagine, after all all of us have worked together in previous shoots and movies so we have an idea of how each other works and also can anticipate what is actually required of us to get the desired result. Its also great fun on the set too; I find that the jokes and witty comments will always be a great feature of working together with such a wonderful crowd of people.

The scenes with multiple takes, the long time in one position, all good humoured with plenty of fun and joking around on set, thankfully put at ease by Erin's direction and the experienced cast around working to make the movie a success. I did very much enjoy the initial 'I can do better ' scenes at the beginning which laid the groundwork for the whole movie and kept us all eager for the next instalment each time. The final scene was also a pleasure to shoot , that is obvious:-))

I would be doing an injustice if I did not mention the wonderful Emily, my on screen co villainous spouse Claire, who it is a delight to work with each time, a great professional with a fabulous sense of humour. In fact we are lucky as the cast gelled well and as enjoyable as the instalments were the movie was served most well when it was reissued as a complete movie. I hope it wins awards this year , I am optimistic , Erin made a splendid effort in making this project a success." (see, being optimistic sometimes works! - Kat )
I'll admit I was a little disappointed that I didn't have much sex in the film, but when when I saw the finished product, I absolutely loved that I got to be the comedic heart of the film. (I hope i get to have more sex next time though.)
Due to the incredibly large cast, we shot a lot of it in pieces, cut together with clever camera angles. My availability being what it was, it was hard to schedule me en masse with the others, so I never shot with more than 2 or 3 other actors simultaneously.

Consequently, it was really hard to even guess what was happening and when. We shot in snippets. We shot out of order. We shot separately and at odd times. Yet, it all worked out. I cannot say more about how organized Erin was to make this all work out. If she were in charge of an RL movie production, I think she'd do just fine.

Her organization was evident right from the beginning. In addition to the background notecards we got, each actor got a costume list, specifying what scenes they'd be used for and what was required of each scene. It made it really easy to be prepared. Having outfits saved made it really easy to get started quickly and to shoot whichever scene was necessary in the moment. I'm in awe of Erin putting together such an ambitious project and the way she did it. "

Time marched on and it seemed all the roles might have been filled when Erin and I were talking and I suddenly blurted something about how wow her new series sounded so hot and why wasn't I in it. She said, "Did you send me a resume?" "No," I quipped, "Here's my resume: I'm Ali, your longtime friend who you know all about and who appears in films and wins awards ..good?" And it must have been pretty good because she gave me a juicy role right then and there.
She cast me as Barbara in the opening episode. When I asked what kind of wardrobe I needed to assemble Erin said just a bikini that won't be on me for very long because Babs is a total slut who screws everyone she meets for the whole film and my wardrobe would be 'Nude'. This was a role I could get into.
And I did.
I banged my heart out for Erin and she was super to work with. She's meticulous and focused and fun to be
with and her series is a joy to watch. The whole cast including my co-stars Dominic Diamond, Logan O'Leary, Daimaju
Clowes, Rachel Avro, Stacia Renoir, Ashley Sugarplum, Brennaghan Bailey and Lightnin Tyran were impressively professional.
I have never seen the original Stepford Wives nor the remake, which this series parodies, but this was a very ambitious undertaking and Erin managed to pull it all together and create a hit. I even just now finally filled out Erin's Club E application so I can maybe be in another one of her productions. I would love that.
See this series! You won't be sorry! "
Needlessly to say, I soaked it all in, learning as much as I could at each shoot. I enjoyed every bit of it. I was not familiar with the original story by Frank Oz. My film interests are more on the side of science fiction, action, and comedies. This particular film was not on my radar. However, after being selected as a member of the cast, I did view the original. I felt that I needed to get an idea of the storyline.
I must say with Erin and Emily, who was also a cast member, working on set I began to learn a lot about the film making process. Erin did an excellent job directing and producing Stepford Sluts. I enjoyed working with her, as well as the other cast members, and was very happy with the finished product."
On the set, (btw I am always nervous on any set), but this one was way different for me. Erin and the actors/actresses that were part of it were the best! They were way good at calming me without even trying and each moment of the shootings was lots and lots of fun. All of them were way awesome to work with! :) The best part of the movie for me, as far as being on the set, is hard to choose, but Imma have to say it was the scene in the barn, with dancing. Sandy and I were doing Sil in the loft........and it was tonz an tonz of fun!

No one will prob be able to understand that wasn't there, but thankies Sil for being you :) The end results of the movie I thought were fantastic! It was a huge undertaking I can only imagine, but I think Erin's efforts were amazing in the end results."
I think Erin told me she had and Idea for a full length movie when LWS was near completion, Stepford Sluts and asked if I had seen the original Stepford wives or the remake, which I hadn't ... still haven't. When shooting scenes you really don't get much under standing of the whole movie either, just do you scenes and on your way, then see what the whole turns out to be.
Erin did a great job putting the sound track together because it's hard to tell how much sex was in the original movie and what she added. Of course I knew the original wasn't X-rated. So for me is was very different being on the other side of the lens of a movie that size and filmed a month or more in advance... I probably should have watched the original, but Erin's version will be the only one I know, she did a great job !! "

How it began, I got asked by Erin to be included and ofcourse I did say yes as I was excited for her doing this kind of a big project. She had this plan and we did talk about it during the parties a few times. Choosing my character, was a bit difficult but the job position my character had, was for me the tie breaker between another character. I probably can say, I always liked looking around at airports in real life and I have seen the one in Amsterdam as it was on my list visiting that city.

I did leave a comment on Erin's studio blog to congratulate her and by knowing how much time went into filming alone, the editing and finishing this big movie project, I was excited seeing how she made this to be an awesome outcome. I for myself think I won't step into doing this kind of projects not because I can't do it but because I think it will take too long and having uncertainty with casting."
Stay tuned for future (further) coverage of Emily's Intergalactic Sluts and Zoey's Business of Women, and watch the movie if you haven't yet, on Club E's website swallowing it as a whole motion picture or in the 4 (one, two, three, four) tasty portions it was released originally as, but most importantly...
...Hit me up with your suggestions and contributions for the blog, I want to talk about -your- movie too!

Larry Vinaver
" Well where do i begin? I was familiar with the Frank Oz movies of both the 1970s Katherine Ross/Nanette Newman version and the modern updated movie starring Nicole Kidman & Chris Walken, upon which Stepford Sluts is based.

" I was so pleased with the finished movie. I was really impressed with how expertly Erin was able to chop up the reference film and make it fit her pornified storyline, including morphing the voices of some of the characters enough to make them fit the actresses. Erin was very organized. I'm fairly sure she knew exactly what role she wanted me to play and she hunted me down for it.I'll admit I was a little disappointed that I didn't have much sex in the film, but when when I saw the finished product, I absolutely loved that I got to be the comedic heart of the film. Ali Lancrae
" With Stepford Sluts, it all started for me with lots of people I know landing all these roles and preparing their outfits and looks and just a general buzz about Erin's new Big Series. I hadn't filled out an application because Erin and I are longtime friends going back before I was even in porn - and she was just starting. So I thought, 'she knows me so well she'll just ask me and I won't bother her with more to read when she knows all about me already anyway'.
Time marched on and it seemed all the roles might have been filled when Erin and I were talking and I suddenly blurted something about how wow her new series sounded so hot and why wasn't I in it. She said, "Did you send me a resume?" "No," I quipped, "Here's my resume: I'm Ali, your longtime friend who you know all about and who appears in films and wins awards ..good?" Damien Godard
" I played the role of Ed Wainwright. The husband of Carol Wainwright, portrayed by Adele Simondsen. I was cast after being seen in a photo-shoot that was created by one of the industry's amazing photographers, Anyka Aiséirí. The experience on set was very enlightening, as well as fun. I got to meet, and work with some of the veterans of the porn industry.Needlessly to say, I soaked it all in, learning as much as I could at each shoot. I enjoyed every bit of it. Amia Edelmann
" Stepford Sluts began with a question actually, from someone I consider to be one of my bestest friends here...... which was something like.... "why haven't you applied for any parts in this video? The Stepford Sluts" Imma not way good at seeing all the posts and well I missed this one :( . I didn't/don't know anything about the movie, but from that convo, i did send a notecard to Erin and was lucky enough to be chosen for a part in it!On the set, (btw I am always nervous on any set), but this one was way different for me. Erin and the actors/actresses that were part of it were the best! They were way good at calming me without even trying and each moment of the shootings was lots and lots of fun. " I was just an actress in it and just follow direction, I try not to give any instruction and not get in Erin's way, if she needed help she knew she could ask.I think Erin told me she had and Idea for a full length movie when LWS was near completion, Stepford Sluts and asked if I had seen the original Stepford wives or the remake, which I hadn't ... still haven't. Zoey Winsmore
" I have to be guilty when it comes to having watched the real movie that Erin based her porn version parody on. I have not watched the movie before, and I haven't seen it afterwards. But since The Stepford Sluts covers the main story part already, I can say I have sort of watched it now with some more exciting things that aren't in the real movie lols. I probably will be bored watching the real one anyways, so the parody is being better.
How it began, I got asked by Erin to be included and ofcourse I did say yes as I was excited for her doing this kind of a big project. She had this plan and we did talk about it during the parties a few times. Hello! Pornstars - Golden Cocks edition!!!
Yesterday it was one of those very special Award times that give the SL porn world some much deserved glam and pomp: it was time for the 2016 Second Life Porn Star Awards, affectionally called 'The Golden Cocks"Now we know what she was practicing that dance for !
Making 'global' awards for the community is, as we know very well on The Sexiest Pornstars blog a big task and these 'other' awards in their 5 editions never tried to, choosing instead to give some of the recognition and aknowledgement to what the 'judges' know best: the work of their own studios. The combined work of Miss Emily's Studio, Zoey Winsmore's Naughty Pixel Productions, Erin Cedarbridge's Club E, these awards, originated as most of you know as sort of a parody, were still a big service to the community at large for 2 reasons...

Number one: Award shows are fun! This was open to everyone and many people attended. Lag was not a big issue despite a not so stringent scripts limit, and everyone had a good time. Red carpet pictures were taken for nominees and guests, you can find them on the SL Porn blog, followed by a cool afterparty.

Number two: They reflect what went on through the year. As Miss Emily said in her closing statement of the evening, about the movie who won the Golden Cock for their best movie of the year:
" From the moment this movie was conceived there really was little doubt this movie would be movie of the year. A cast of 50 +, 101 minutes, countless sex scenes, guy/girl, lesbian & orgy. There have only been two other movies like this made in Second Life and they won for best movies 2013 & 2014!!!"

There wouldn't be awards without something to celebrate (and not the other way around), and that was for sure the efforts of production studios who try to put together ambitious projects, sometimes but not necessarily with a large cast, moving to 'the next level' the adult filmaking in SL. And celebrates also all the people in it who took part even in small roles. Breaking through in movies is a difficult task, but thankfully there are active studios who give chances throughout the whole year.

Enjoy the afterparty photos by Sunday Whitewood, photos by Racheal Rexen from the party the night before the ceremony (hers is the red carpet coverage for Emily's blogs, not to mention Tammy Jones' excellent photoset I posted a few pics from!), look down for a list of the winners, and expect a little more later as we look into the past... and into the future.
