Alexus & Priscila - Reunion Part 3 : Those Pornstars Legends Are At It Again!

We had a lot of interest here on the Pornstars Blog over the last week. Regarding the special spotlight feature on Alexus Minotaur and Priscila Balogh from last weekend. In an article covering their recent Comic Book Porn story "Reunion" and the "9 Inches Of Fun" Interview over at Alexus's web site The Minotaur Maze. I would love to post every sizzling hot picture from The Reunion Comic right here. As i said last week, this production is beyond the scope of most movies made in Second Life Porn. Every comic book panel is either so hot, so detailed, or so much fun. You almost hear those naughty sounds, while your eyes browse this passionate encounter within the page! 

However, showing the whole story is the job of the Minotaur Maze site. Not for this preview post. This is just to "Wet" your appetite before you visit Alexus's creation. And what can i say...Mine is well and truly Wetted already!

Doing it Greek-style: Virgil's "Mythos"

The end of 2015 and beginning of this year have put in the books a variety of really ambitious projects, showing how the adult arts enthusiast can have such impressive scope and range. When it comes to show the unique creative mix that some of the talented and experienced group members bring to the table, 'Pornstars' is just a name, often misleading for the type of effort required and the complexity of the project.

Some really Epic projects, to use a term used (quite appropriately so!) by a famous porn producer about movies.  But today I am dealing with something definitely 'epic', but not a movie!

This is a SL comic, and a really impressive one at that! A graphic novel, perhaps. You know, it sounds cooler and more edgy. But no jokes here, as all you need to do is glimpse here at this blog address (or on Issuu ) to grasp the complexity of this project and just imagine the effort required to do something of this magnitude. The artifex of this elaborate story is a familiar name for our porn-goer crowd, and I leave right away to him the task to describe what it is. Enjoy the interview with Virgil (virgilius08 Resident) !

- First of all: what is the concept behind 'Mythos' and how did you come up with it?

" I got the idea for Mythos last summer. I was in a pub with some friends and all of sudden the convo land to the political situation in Greece, which was a main topic all around Europe in those times. One of my friends made a comment about how the politics looks like Greek Gods who decide about people's destiny. That phrase was like a spark, and when I got back home I kept reading about Greek Mythology, to see if I could make that concept become real.

The main track of Mythos is the 'Power', who holds the power in the world we live today, and how it's used. The mythology offers infinite possibilities to develop that concept.

So for example Ares, the God of the cruel war, becomes the weapon-trafficker, while Athena, the Goddess of the 'Noble War', is an Army General; Haephestus runs a High Technology Society while Helios is the CEO of an Energy Company. I re-arranged greek myths, like the myth of Tantalus, but also situations of the greek mythology, like in the scene of Helios and Apollo. There's not a real myth about that episode, but it refers to the fact that through the years the Greek population began to worship Apollo as the God of Sun instead of Helios, even if Helios stayed as the official God of Sun.
I want to point out that in Mythos the Gods are not supernatural entities. They are humans like everybody else, but thanks to their privileged position in the society they can decide about people's fate. In Mythos you will never see men turned into animals or plants, but they will rather put in positions that can be considered like that.

'Heat City Chronicles' is built around Viktor Clay, whose story will explode in a shock at the end of the second episode ( on which I'm working in these days ). In Mythos instead, there is not a main character, but the storyline develops around the situations of the various Gods. This also reflects the general setting of the two series. In HCC the spotlight is on the human, on his torments and his passions, while in Mythos I try to talk about today's society, the way I see it. "

- Yes, because this is in fact not your first comic in SL: are there more episodes of Heat City Chronicles and Mythos planned? What do you plan to do next?

" I'm already working on the second episode of Heat City Chronicles, even if, since those are bigger stories, I'll probably release another issue of Mythos before it.

I also have ideas for several new productions, and I'm working on the script of a movie, which I hope to produce in collaboration with a director who could be interested in the project. I wish to carry out each of these ideas, but as you know these works require a lot of time and effort, and I can't focus on them all together.

- Not a surprise, but making a comic is a huge effort. Tell us a bit about how long did it take to put this comic together, what did you start doing first, and in general give us an idea of what you did from the initial concept to the final product.

" Mythos needs a special work because it also needs a time to study the Greek myths, and to find a way to adapt them. In general I can tell you that the first step is to write down the script. It helps you to order the mess of ideas in your mind, and also to realize what you really need to do a work like that. When the script is ready, I look for the sets. SL is a magic world with a lot of possibilities, but not everything is possible, so sometimes I have to change some scenes because I just can't realize them. In these project the editing of each single page is tricky, because you must consider the spaces for the photos to make sure they fit in the page, and in each photo you must consider where to put the dialogues, so planning everything ahead is a must. When everything is ready, I select the cast.



It's important to match everybody's timings and sometimes it's hard because you have to say NO to friends, but that can become a dumper to the whole production. Tho I can tell you that this was not the case for Tantalize, because each of the models has been incredibly helpful through the whole process, and I'm very grateful to each of them."

- And I am sure you have plenty of people who collaborated with you to this big effort...This is your chance.

" For sure the best part about working on Tantalize is that I got the chance to meet some persons I didn't know before, and that I consider as true friends now.
Ember Rose supported me when Mythos was just an idea spinning through my mind, and lead me through the way to make it become true. She has been crucial in each aspect of the production, and most of the credits for the accomplishment of Tantalize are hers.
Rachel has been just amazing through the whole time in which we worked together. It's not easy to tolerate me when it's about work, but we've been in tune since the first shoot and I couldn't ask for a better actress for that role, who was probably the most demanding.

Rob, Larry, Dillon, Carter and Jagger are incredible guys. Rob's effort to this project was further Second Life, and he did everything to help me in the shooting. I couldn't thank him enough for that. Larry is probably the perfect model, he is an amazing guy and an absolute team worker, it's a pleasure to work with him. Carter, Dillon and Jagger have my same approach to things, and I felt comfortable working with them. Dillon also helped me with the script, like Jude did, and that is a crucial point in the production process because they must cope with my language limits. Dillon's feedback helped me to go toward the right direction.

Jude is probably my closest friend here in SL, and she's the only person it the world who can really understand what I say, ahah. You, Katina, also helped me in one troubl-ish moment, and that was way more important to me than you realize. Cassandra is a dear friend of mines and she's a must in all my productions. Adele and Cinnabuns are damn sexy women, but they are also lovely girls and great models too. Cameron is a very nice and available guy, he is a perfect fit in any cast.
Each of these guys embraced the project like their own work since Day 1, and I'm very thankful to each of them for the effort and dedication. Out of the people directly involved in the project, I couldn't produce anything without Shane, a very great friend who lets me to use his facilities and to invade his spaces with my stuff. His support is incredible, and he is one of the main reasons for which i can realize these works."

- Is there anything you learned here from experience on your previous comic book issues ? Do you have advice for aspiring comic-makers?

" While working on the first episode of Heat City Chronicles I made thousands of mistakes, and the result was that it took me infinite time to accomplish it. Thanks to that experience I realized that the most important thing in a work like this is organization. The production of a comic is a very complex work, where you have to look after each aspect of the production. While working at these things you can run downhearted... DON'T GIVE UP ! It's a lot of work, but you'll be happy to see the final product of such an effort."

The Pornstars' Rack: Scary Comics!

Chilling! Scary! Horrific! It will make you sick! Close the door to that foul stench, to that eerie dim light and pray, PRAY that whatever is inside won't come out FOR YOU!!
...Ok, I'll finish cleaning the fridge later, now it's time to blog the last Halloween stuff. This is....




Surprisingly enough, people can still take the scary movies seriously even after Scream and the ...well, Scary Movie series. Alexus Minotaur has his own unique take on the subject. And it's yet another fun comic from him, featuring the delightful Priscila Balogh! So yeah....what better way to know more about it than asking the man himself?


- When did you come up with the idea for this Halloween comic?

" I'm a disaster for dates, but this time I wanted to prepare something with anticipation for Halloween. So I planned something 2 weeks ago, even with a little survey on the community, about how they imagine Halloween, to see if they associate it with terror, an excuse to dress slutty or just a party for kids. So the first option won.
I always noticed that in terror movies, one of the first victims are the horny teen couple, and the master doing that is Jason Voorhees. So I thought: it's an excellent excuse to show some of skin and combine it with terror lol."


- How long did it take to make it from start to finish?

" Since the conception of the idea until the publication, 2 weeks. Of course that I don't work in consecutive days. I do this when I have some time available. The shooting per se was made in 2 nights. One with the scenes of Priscila and the other one where Jason appears alone. "




- Can you tell me any fun anedocte about shooting / behind the scene?

" At first Priscila thought that Jason would kill me and then she would stay fucking with him, but that would be too obvious and the poor Jason doesn't have a cock lol. I think that's why he hates couples having sex, I don't buy the story of the lifeguards letting him die because they were shagging hehe.

Other story to tell is that the original Jason I got was too short, so he would look ridiculous entering to the cabin like a hobbit, so I had to fix a little the character. "


- What is your favourite scary movie, if any?You always put humorous bits in your comics/stories, so here you have a chance to tell us something about your favourite movies or series.

" Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street are classics from my childhood, but actually I prefer scary movies that can give me a real surprise, maybe because you never expected the twist like "The Others" or the first movie of "The Ring". Now that you mention the issue about scary movies, I was watching "Halloween" some days ago (I don't remember which part, but is that one with michael myers) and I was wondering why the teens never join forces and ambush the damn monster. Instead all them run off and leave one of them alone so Michael Myers has an easy job."






- Thank you Alexus so much for your partecipation! After the thrilling conclusion of cliffhangers like "Should I push it inside?" and "Whose arse is this?" (ok, it was actually "Who's that girl?" ...) , a new tale of suspense! I must say I...

" Just to finish, [Omg , he scared me...it's like when the villain in the movies comes back out of the blue - Kat ] I wanted to mention that I have some projects in production process (I already have the pics) so I hope to have the time and release them soon. I hope my co-stars don't hate me for the delay lol. "

The Pornstars' Rack: Minotaur's new comic

If you want to know more about the world of an adult star, you know who to turn to for one unbiased insight: Alexus Minotaur. His comics are nothing but educational.

When Alexus comes out with a new comic, you know you are in for a lot of fun, and of course, a slew of hot curves in the mix! Just have to quote him for this...

" I assembled some of the finest and hottest female pornstars. It’s like the Avengers of sex haha: Ali Lancrae, Bewitched, Leannan, Huniib and some cameos of Lydia Michaels and Margarita Blanco…it’s me or it’s too hot here?"

"But what is about the story? It's a dramatic and brave testimony about what happens behind all the lights and glamour involved on a porn production. Don't miss it!"

We are familiar with Alexus' unique brand of meta-humor, playing with stereotypes and conventions about the porn world and SL in general, and yet he always makes his comics highly entertaining. Just try to imagine how much work it goes into putting something like that together - count just how many pics each panel is made of, and think about the work involved in the making of a set of over 80 photos, needing to fit a coherent - and really funnily written - story, and with all the lettering and layout job on top of that.
Madness! It's like making a movie or something!

Some stories behind "A Day in Porn"

Leannan (Suffy) and Ali were really nice at the studio, they kept talking between them so I could slide easier into Leannan (lol). Sometimes I get worried that a girl can get bored because I stay going in and out in the same position for a long time while I adjust the angles and lights. Of course is pleasant, but can bore do it in the same pose lol.



Hunii is not a porn model, but I convinced her to participate in the story with an erotic role. I was sure that her presence will bring a lot of fans. She was very kind even with the difficult scenes like the one where we are naked on the shower.

Bewitched was waiting to take revenge since I make her an elasticity test in a previous comic, where I made the role of a fake doctor. I guess she got what she was looking for. 



Finally, Lydia and Margarita were great in the cameo. They appeared quick when I was needing a hand for that scene. And of course thanks to Paperbot who always helps me with the logistic support (somebody has to hold the camera while I'm doing my thing with the girl of the story). "

Making out of with... Dokie

This is the generic intro when I say "Omfg we on the Pornstars blog love comic books in SL!". But we so do, and the quality of this new production by Criss Bliss Studios is just stellar. Which means...Dokie's at it again!



To me , a new comic by Dokie is always one big little event, as I make no mystery about it, she puts all those things I love in a production: attention to detail, originality, creativity, humour and a world of naughtiness. Also, redheads!
So, I say it now, you gotta check this comic out if you haven't yet. It's a full story, and simply scrolling down the post at the Obsession Studios blog, you'll have a very distinct idea of how much work and dedication this took to make. First, in Dokie's words...

 

"This is a story that I was hoping to release sometime back in February, for Black History Month in the US, but I seriously underestimated the amount of time I needed to finish it. 
Seriously. 
But hey, it's done now, so no complaints. 
I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

So, as often happens with classics of Dokie's production and SL porn in general like Paid in Full and Jackin'Frosty, I am not gonna spoil the plot for it, and let you actually read it in her very pleasant style and writing on the comic. BUT, I still give you some stuff to read between these mouth watering preview shots, as I sat down with Dokie (i didn't, just play along...) and asked her to talk about her awesome comic. She shared with me also a couple photos as they were before the whole process, too!

- So, you originally planned to release this for Black History Month! Gonna obviously ask you what happened, but first of all, I am curious , how did the idea for this shoot come up to begin with? Was it as as we see it now or something changed along the way?

"Well, I first had the idea in mid-January, and BHM was February. I should have known it would take longer than a single month to produce this, but silly me, I had an idea and ran with it. The idea happened after watching a movie about the Redtails with my boyfriend, and then become solidified once I realized that I already had some of the props and wardrobe to make it work."

"As far as changing along the way, yes, that happened a few times, but only minor adjustments were needed in the plotline or dialogue. Otherwise, the story is pretty much how I initially envisioned it."

- Tell us something more about what did it take to organize the shooting part of the comic. I see external locations and the indoors part Did you create all of it, Dokie-style, or some of it was pre-existant, you got any help, etc?

"The entire set was built on a sky platform at Seddy's place. A few of the planes were donated by others, but all the other props were just stuff I already had in my inventory. So both the scenes inside and outside the hangar were all part of the same set."

- Did the shoot take place in chronological order, more or less?
Also, did you take breaks from it, and is it one of the reasons why it took a little more than expected?

"Yes, most of the shoot was done in chronological order, but I did have to go back and do a few 'extra' shots to fill in some holes in the plotline I noticed while in the editing phase. And indeed I did take some breaks - RL has a nasty tendency to intervene, so there were a few weeks where I didn't have the opportunity to work on things.

Before, and it's a dayum fine one already....

Fortunately, those times nicely coincided with the transition periods between production phases (such as between shooting the pics, and then editing them all in PS). Also, I took a break before final completion and churned out a few single-shot pics, as you can see on my flickr. (I started this project right after the last of the first round of Dokie-Does shots.)"

And as part of the comic, on the right. Gives you an idea of much work it is for every panel, now?

- Is shooting for a comic much different from shooting for your single one-shot photos?

"Comic shooting is quite different, I think, insofar as it involves creating a lot more poses than a single-shot pic. But the principle and techniques are relatively the same. Sometimes, I have a general idea of the layout when shooting, but most of the time, the page layout just emerges from putting together the finished shots and including text. As far as editing, I do all the layer work on each pic individually (such as editing out funky angles or clothing issues), but once all that is done, I do lighting fixes to all the photos at once, to keep consistency. I usually don't have a lot of 'discarded' material, maybe a few pics per comic, depending on how things progress."

- Any tips to people who want to try their luck at doing a comic book-style type of project?

" Plan, plan, plan lol. There are great exceptions, but a lot of the other comics I've seen have either shallow plot-lines, bad editing, or just plain nonsensical elements to them. A comic isn't just about showing an act of sex, and then slapping trite and cliche dialogue onto it. Rather, it's about telling a story, building character, creating a 'world' that the reader can escape into for a little while. Sure, sex is the main element, but everybody can shoot a series of sex pics.

To stand out, you need depth and flow - the story needs to transport your reader into that scene with coherency, consistency, and cerebral appeal. After all, the brain is your biggest sex organ - if you mind isn't stimulated by the comic, as well as your genitals, the writer has failed."

- Any particular anedocte about the production? Something funny during shooting?

"Not that I can think of DURING the shoot, but I have to laugh at what happened afterwards. I just finished shooting all the pics I needed, and took a few days break out of SL. In the meantime, Seddy had to change sims, but she had no way of letting me know. When I logged in the next time, the entire hangar and airbase set was gone! :O That would have been a tragedy if it occured mid-shoot, but fortunately, I had just finished and didn't need the set anymore. So good timing on that!"

- Any new project at the horizon for you ?

" Nothing yet, but ideas always flow. I might be starting up Round 2 of the Dokie-Does series soon, since I have more people on the waiting list than people I've done a shoot with for that series. So if you'd like to be in it, yet haven't gotten on the list, feel free to IM me in-world!"

Making out of with...Alexus Minotaur

We're always happy, and always excited to see a hot new Second Life Porn Comic Book hit the net. Especially when it's by a long time Porn legend, and featuring yet another too!

'The Day Off' Is brought to us by and starring Alexus Minotaur, and co starring Priscila Balogh.

Alexus really has well and truly set the bar for this genre of Porn. As always he gives us a high quality, and creative ride through the highly sexy and fun pages of his new comic book. Anybody who reads and enjoys these will surely not fail to miss the effort, work, and planning that goes into these erotic and fun productions. Equal to any movie, in its preparation and effort to deliver. A super sexy end result!

This genre is the true middle ground between regular photo shoots, and porn movie making, and i really hope to see many more on our scene, and enjoy many more from Alexus too.

And now, a little interview with Alexus about this comic's...Inception, by Katina. Read the comic first, as obviously the interview contains some spoilers.

Where and when did you get the inspiration for the comic?

It was in December when after some weeks of tense work I had some free days. So I started to think what is the classic fantasy about taking a day off, and it was very obvious: go to a paradisiac place on a luxury yacht with a super hot girl. So I thought: “hey I can make a story with this”.

Was the idea already set from the beginning or you thought about the ending and twists as you already started working on it? Did you make any change to the 'script' once you started working on it?

At first I just was planning make a simple story about a guy who brings a top pornstar to a lonely island and fulfill all his sexual fantasies with her.
But I felt it had some flaws like "how a regular guy convinces a pornstar to go with him to a lonely island and spend a complete day together?", "is he rich?", "is this a rap video clip?" I realized then if the story looks like a classic male dream, then why don’t you make it in that way.
Then the idea evolved to "the guy never had his perfect day off, he never left the office", and that’s how I started to work the scenes with Priscila.
Since I always want to give a happy ending for Alex (my character in the comics) I made a couple of plot twist, inspired in Inception, where there's a dream inside a dream.

The comic is all about happy endings!

Were the scenes shot in the same order as we see them in the comic?

I usually don't take the pics in the order that you see in the final story.
Since I work according to the availability of the people, this is how I did it:
1 I made the set of the island first (the biggest one that I’ve already made until now) and I shot with Pris almost all the scenes, divided in 2 sessions.
2 Later we made the sex scenes at the office.
3 I called to Hard and Spirit for the pics at Retroville and then at the office.
4 I made the last pics inside the house with Pris and we remade a couple of pics on the rock, because I wanted to try a different illumination.
5 Finally when I got all what I needed from my team, I made the pics where I appear alone or with Paperbot.

Did your co stars have any idea of the real plot of the comic? lol

They always have a clue, but not the whole details to try to give them a surprise. And it always worked.
For example Pris knew it that we will have scenes in the island and in the office, but she didn't know about the dream, or how both sets connects each other.
Hard and Spirit knew about the pics at Retroville and that in the story that would be the final “real world” after each dream.

How long did it take for you to shoot the various scenes in world?

I think that it was 6 days (non consecutive days). I’m not counting the time it took me to build the sets. I always depend of the availability of my co­stars. For example one day Pris only had 40 minutes and other day she stayed 3 hours. Hard was available but Spirit not (and vice versa), so we had to find a proper time to have both available.
I always care about of the details. For example a hand inside a body (like a ghost) can ruin your pic.

Any particular scene you favour over others? Can be for 'artistic' merits or ....could have been really really hot to shoot. Just your personal favourite.

I liked a lot the last pics on the rock (page 20-­21) because the illumination I got there and because it looks really hot with me banging and cumming inside Pris hehe.
I also liked that one where she is standing and bends to suck while I'm sitted on the rock (page 15). I saw a similar pose on a rl porn (hey! I have to research, lol) and I thought it was a cool angle. Finally the last pic at the house (page 61) has good shadows and it's incredible hot, hehe. Pris loved that one too.

Any particular 'backstge' story of something that happened through the production? Some funny interruption, a sim closing, anything that made you ditch photos...

I don't think there is a particular story, except that I had to modify the whole place where I live to create the set of the island. Also it was really great to work with Hard and Spirit. They both are a great couple. And of course it's always a pleasure (and very stimulating) to work with Pris.

Tell us a bit, if you wish, about the tools you use to put together and produce a comic magazine.

Well once I had the idea (that is very important), the script and all the production stuff (the sets, props and poses) I test different light effects and camera angles, this is my base to get good pics, because later the post edition work only will highlight what I got in world. If you have a bad picture, the photoshop can't save you.
So what I do with Photoshop is fix a little the colors and smooth the bodies when I see weird lines or body parts that have a tip (like a triangle).
Once all the pics are ready I make a layout of the pages with Comic Life and add the speech bubbles with the dialogues that I previously made in the script.
Finally I export all the images to PDF and upload it to Issuu, and that's it, ready to promote it.

Any final words for your (and our) readers?
