Intergalactic SLUTS: Promoted

Of course it's a pleasure to talk today about ....

Would you begin watching a series from its second season? When the series is a 'space opera' sort of feature, created by a crazy sadist director with a passion for plot twists and the 'anyone can die' Game of Thrones approach? I hope you would, but in a way I also hope you won't!

A long time ago, in a cliffhanger far far away...

Well, I hope you won't...have to do it ! Because Intergalactic SLUTS is a production you really should be familiar with already if you have any interest for SL adult filmaking, representing its most original and characteristic side, joining sexual fantasies and scenarios with the ambition to create something memorable. "The possibilities are endless as ones imagination" is the line that Miss Emily used in her first detailed post about the project when it began, and that just about sums it up.
Oh, here is where I usually talk about how easy by comparison it is to make a series like this become reality in SL, when it would need to have a multi-milion budget in RL. That's it, though: easy by comparison.

Because making IGS Season one certainly was no easy task. Over 200 minutes of finished product, around 30 cast members with at least one sex scene, and this season already has 10 new announced. The budget as reported reached the astonishing figure of 450'000 L$, and that of course can't monetize the amount of hours spent by the collective efforts of each cast member and by the producer, director, 'special effects department'.
And that is the past. With, again, this second season announcing itself to be even more complex than the previous. More sets to be made, and miss Emily spends an unbelievable amount of time adapting and tweaking and flat out building those, and a large effort that went even in the costume design aspect. You can read all about it here



Plot twists, deaths and all the sorts, you missed out if you did not see the season finale!

If you are followers of Miss Emily's group/blog(s) you have been already exposed, one would hope, to her promotional effort for the series. Including a series of pretty darn neat pictorials made by returning star of the series Racheal Rexen. The hype train made a stop every week reminding you of the previous episodes, and if you kept up with that, that is pretty neat!

Are you also a fan of the series then? If so by now you have watched the episode, or are close to doing it. Go on and do so! You might be left with more questions than the cliffhanger of the last season gave you, though, and you might not like some of the answers given, sparingly, by this one!

Which begins with quite a shocker. To quote the 'Imdb-style' (Emdb?) page about the series...

Hey, you know that in fiction ( also in reality, usually), to have someone officially proclaimed dead you must see the body, but Heads have been rolling all season, and the joke is on us, Emily has pulled a Ned Stark on us. (I know, I know, 'or has she' ?)

Swords, guns, intrigue and some of the most outrageous situations you can fathom, and Season 2 will have more!

I am using the words of a wise (and sometimes even sober) man, season 1 star Larry Vinaver and telling you: "what you have here is the 'link' between the first and second season; it is a necessary 'briefing' for the viewer to bring them up to date and wet their appetite for the action to come, builds the suspense ..it also tempts their impatience and excitement to see it".

Yes, IGS is all about wetting the appetite, as Larry said... You did think that I forgot to post porn pics, huh?

It is that, and parts of it without a doubt can be appreciated much better only with knowledge of the past events and some investment in the story. Like the whole 'life is moving on and the crew needs to survive' feel through the episode, with a passing of the torch between Emily and Sandy as main character crowned with just one line followed by a meaningful camera motion. Emily is no more.

New and old faces in the series, with a lot more to happen for both!

Then again, there's a lot of new blood in this series, and the budding relationship between the new character Candy and Anyka is built up striking all the right chords, together with the 'sense of wonder' infused by the action being moved in a new location, one castle that announces to be busier than Camelot in the Holy Grail intermission. No, it's not called Castle Cum-a-lot....I think not, at least.

Moonie, Katrinova and Kei Frequency are amongst the new cast members. Complete (so far !) list here.

Everyone has their unique viewing habits: I am a binge watcher of series, I am bad at keeping up and when I download (legally of course - coughs- ...good that there is no possible misunderstanding about SL series, being no-profit ventures) something serial, I usually do it with a bunch of episodes. SLUTS is still easy to catch up with, in its 10 ( one , two , three , four , five , six , seven , eight , nine , ten ) episodes. You are certainly not late to start watching it if you haven't yet!

Serial Clickers - Dog Star Pictorials

There are individuals who make a real impact on the porn scene as a whole, not just through their productivity, but also through the way they focus that sort of drive. This would have been a true statement for Isabelle Cheviot last year already with the astonishing number of movies she shot, giving their debut to countless actors. Her personal efforts alone, the way she structured her filmaking to give a chance to so many, would have been enough to put the name 'Dog Star Productions' down as real changer in the landscape of adult entertainment.

But this year has established Dog Star as more than just 'Isa'. While keeping an enviable and so far unchallenged amount of movie releases, Isa put together a collective of photographers who do what she has been doing for movies: give the spotlight to many personalities on the scene. I already mentioned the interview to Emmanuelle Jameson, and there are many more, with an upcoming one to one of my favourite artists, and another real 'doer' who is making the porn scene truly a better place.

That's part of the opening statement from the owner of the magazine Edvard Taurion, wishing everyone cheerful festivities in the month of St. Patrick's day and of course, Easter. Words simple enough, but not simply words when you look back at the growth of this young magazine from one issue to the next.



Everyone deserves a praise for this magazine, including the person who waters the plants!

A steady growth that sees the magazine showcase more and more quality content creators, from the traditional adult animation and furniture designers that are the bread and butter of Edvard Taurion' SL business, to the quality home and decor designers and clothing makers attracted to the magazine by its definite 'mainstream' appeal that trascends 'porn'. "We want to reach all parts of SL", the Executive Editor of the magazine Athena told me, and since she didn't follow that statement with improper fondling of my private ones, I think she really meant the potential audience!

There's probably a joke in there to be made about Irishmen and policemen, but fill in the blanks yourselves!

And that's without mentioning the location reports that have been prominently featured in the past issues already, and that in this new instance of the magazine see the addition in the staff of the very well known Isle Biedermann, who doesn't spend his day just taking pictures of a famous mulberry coloured club, but displays his talent outdoors, in a photoset just perfect for st. Paddy.

Tisha Carfield is one of the lovely group members who dress up for Ed in Partee's fashion shoot!

I know that of course the readers of the Pornstars blog are not here to watch the grass grow, but magazines like SL Connoisseur are a perfect vehicle for you to see your raunchy photographers and super-sexy models (and you know how often the two aspects overlap) putting their skills and passions to fruition for other aspects of SL than sex. In this issue, you'll get to see guest modeling in fashion shoots and location shots Lacey Nora, Sandy Miggins, Tisha Carlfield, Jon Demen, you'll read interviews by the already mentioned Edvard and Isle, the always hard working editor Athena, and fashion from Michaela Vixen and last month's centerfold Parthenea.

And I am saving pretty much the best for last, because yep there certainly is tits for you to gawk in this issue!

Saving the last mention of the post for the trump card of this issue Racheal Rexen, who contributed with an interview, complemented with her photography at least 3 interview sets, and was also of 'Pet of the month' duty photographing the porn starlet Candy Kane!
Great job for one hard working lady, but a beautiful coral effort for the Connoisseur team!

Coffee, tea, me? Racheal, what else

It's always great to see new directors on the scene, even more so when it's someone you already had chances to see on the other side of the camera. Racheal Rexen has already shown range throughout her porn career, not only being a model of extraordinary beauty and personality in her looks, but also constantly honing her skills as photographer.  More than just someone who takes lovely snapshots, Racheal's proficiencies secured her a spot on the staff of SL Connoisseur magazine and can be admired on her flickr stream and her blog, which often features also exclusive shots.



I obviously have a soft spot for those pornstars who give some importance to blog for their fans, and if you followed her there, you already probably had a hint something might have been brewing, when she posted a simple test clip of her notable self having a little dance for the camera.

 So, Racheal made a movie this month! And won't be the only one! Coffee Break it is called, and she certainly serves it hot. It features Racheal herself with a cameo of her partner, fresh 'pet of the month' Jezzi Mornington, and a sweet looking co-star in Candy Kane (candygurlx).

"When Racheal meets Candy at a coffee shop, you can bet some naughtiness is going to happen. "





Without further ado, let's have the director Racheal tell us more about it and this new experience for her. I can tell you, she has plans, and of course that's great news for all those of you who wish there were more opportunities for movies.

- What motivated you into doing a movie yourself? 

" There were many reasons that motivated me, I was inspired by watching many directors, like Isa, Zoey, Miss Em and Erin Cedarbridge, I saw how Erin started and became one of the best directors in SL Porn, That was really inspirational to me, I also wanted to try something new, so I thought I would try directing."

- Was 'Coffee Break' the first idea you had for a movie?

" Miss Emily suggested that my first movie should be simple, So that where the idea of Coffee Break came from, I wanted to make a simple movie with a little bit of a story, Since I already a coffee shop set, I went with it."

- Tell us how the movie 'happened'. Certainly not overnight. What did you do first, and then how did it develop into this directorial debut ?

" Just learning how to make a movie took a couple of weeks. The script was fairly simple, two people meet at a coffee shop and go and have sex. The audio was one of the hardest parts, I spent hours searching the internet just to find a 3 second sound bit, finding other simple little sounds like the door chime took a lot of time too.

The locations was built on my land, it took two or three day to build. After that, the shootings took two days, I kind of messed up and had to re shoot part of it. A large part of filming was adjusting poseballs, that had to be one of the most frustrating parts. Also finding the right sex animations/engine was very time consuming. The editing then took about a day, it was like putting a puzzle together, looking for which piece goes in what spot. "

- You thanked for your movie well known and experienced directors like Miss Emily, Isa Cheviot, Zoey Winsmore. Can you tell us more about those who helped you and supported you?

" I asked Miss Emily, Isa and Zoey for their advice, it was so great of them to take the time and help me, I really appreciated it. I also have to thank Candy Kane and Jezzi Mornington for letting me practice filming on them, They were great."

- Which part about this project was the hardest for you to do ? Do you have any advice for aspiring directors, from your experience and/or what Emily, Isa, Zoey told you?

" It took hours, finding the right audio to match my vision, searching for the right sex engine was difficult, as well as getting the poses adjusted. I would tell aspiring directors to do their research, watch youtube videos and read blogs about SL machinima. There are many online resources that will help.

Be prepared to spend some money, you are going to need screen capturing software and decent video editing software and you are also going to need a location and a good sex engine/ bed.
Don't get too frustrated, try and experiment at first. Miss Emily had great advice: keep your screen clear, hide the user innerface and hide your huds."



- Not asking you to reveal 'secrets' of course, but what are your next projects? Moviewise of course, but we also appreciate your talent as photographer , you collaborate to a magazine, you are a very popular actress and model....

"I am hoping to do at least one movie a month, they are going to be simple for a while because I am still learning how to make films. I am currently working on several ideas."
