Magazines come and go all the time in the world of Second Life, so while it's great to celebrate the birth of new projects, it's even a bigger pleasure to me when we get a chance to talk about something that has been there for now a while, and consistently managed to squeeze in month after month a plethora of hot photoshoots, feature models, products, and more importantly, give a chance to the multitalented people from our Sexiest group to shine and step up their game. Happy birthday SL Connoisseur! The party to celebrate this milestone is today Thursday the 4th at 11 PM SLT, with DJ Leannan McCormick!!

This issue obviously brings some fun Halloween vibe! SL Connoisseur always likes to go with the themes. And the theme is well executed in photo first and foremost: as a prime example of what I just said, look at Jewell Infinity's work with the sexy kitten DJIceQueen  . Jewell has been a member of the pornstars community for years: she has been doing lovely blog work, tons of pictorials, she has been involved so many in her work taking part to projects of great importance and service to the adult scene, from the Midnight Sun blog to Studs of Porn. A chance to do magazine work, in the key role of cover/centerfold artist, was something she was ready for and celebrates her talent.

Cover I mention already virtually every issue about the wonderful work done by Kara Hawk, which to me is -the- success story of this latest year of SL Connoisseur. her pictorial with SweetSister Silverstar is again a triumph of creativity, but with the hotness of the model fully highlighted. The Pet of the Month feature thanks to Kara is certainly a shoot that is no ancillary to the main centerfold - as proven also by the great list of models that these 3 years have graced the magazine in that capacity.

But picking MVPs would be an exercise in futility, considering how everyone in SL Connoisseur has shown great determination and a side of their talents that shows how much importance they placed in the task. Osiris LeShelle is again excellent in this issue with her mix of writing and photography in a travel diary in a spooky sim, and the 'newcomer' Avielle Jewell is off to such a promising start: in this issue she doesn't only bring a fashion interview, but also begins a journey in the club scene in SL that I am sure will be full of surprises.

A lot can also be said about Kristina Deschanel and her job, but I do that every month: a lot for this anniversary issue has to be said about Edvard himself and the selection of products that constitutes the backbone of the magazine and the whole raison d'être of it, the 'big picture' that does not overshadow the brilliant work done in his scouting for talents: SL Connoisseur has always been this - the union between Edvard's patented reliability and consistency in his work, and the capacity to adapt to circumstances and deadlines finding the best people for the job in the ever changing scenarios that SL brings.

Without further ado then, I invite you to come to the Anniversary Party! It's gonna be fun, it's gonna be sexy...it's gonna be on the next issue! Kristina Deschanel, the technical editor of the magazine aka the girl that puts it all together, always snatches pictures of those who come along...and special attention is given to one monthly Party Star (in the past issue, the honor went to Cyrce Kiranov!)! For our latest instalment of "The pornstars' rack", here we are now, fresh and recharged after the summer break. Oh? We did NOT have a summer break? Well damn, they DO say there is no rest for the wicked!

There is no rest for Edvard Taurion in his blogging activities, could there be any for his magazine SL Connoisseur? Obviously not, and this issue shows all the classic features of the lifestyle publication we have been knowing for almost 3 years. This time with a few notable news and additions to the lineup of a couple or real crown jewels! I am so cringing at how obvious this joke is but just read and tell me how could I refrain from not saying so!

Will 2018 be a fine vintage? Only one way to find out but looks good so far!

Let's start by giving precedence to, obviously, the cover! Arielle Darkstar (Arielle Jewell) has to be the postergirl of this issue, since non only she is casting her dreamy gaze at us from the very first page - and MP page...

....but she also happens to be the newest Fashion Editor of the magazine. I have to praise her interview style, with original questions and a nice natural flow. She did really well and I am sure we'll hear about her again a lot. You may wanna follow also her fashion blog, just saying!

Back to the cover: the artist photographing her is none other than Jewell, yep, Jewell Infinity, a name the members of our group know so well. In her centerfold feature with Arielle you find all the markings of Jewell's praiseworthy work as photographer: a sexy agrestal shoot in the summer haze, managing to keep the model at the centre using the unique blend of nature and architecture to her advantage.

Had she brought that leg ALL the way up, her toes prolly would have gone past the ozone layer and got a lil sunburnt.

And this month as well Kara Hawk managed to excite me with her Pet of the Month shoot! Her assignment this month was a model who is a pretty spectacular photographer herself in Jessica Moonlight. It's a common trait throughout the history of the magazine, to provide with its essential features a focus on so many real gems from the world of erotic photography. Of course, and you know I am closing the article with this as well, some also help themselves by doing things like you know, showing up at the events! Like the gorgeous Cassandra Hastings (alexxyes), a model I always had a soft spot for through the many years we crossed path being in porn.

Oh dear, I am running a bit long now and haven't even touched Osiris LeShelle's location feature, this time in the shape of a road trip through the iris countryside (SL style of course!), the contributions from Edvard himself with his multiple sponsors, and the wonderful Kristina Deschanel's work. Talking about her work as editor who physically layouts and puts together the whole magazine, and that rises to the occasion every singe time during parties taking shots of the various guests. Such an essential role for the magazine's formula.

I would have so loved to ride that bike with Onyx and enjoy the marvellous sight! ...yeah, of her ass,  you got me.

I am disappointed by the lack of any French stereotype I can make fun of!

So let's analyze the last claim: 'new' is self explanatory, this is a new issue! 'Informative' ? Ah, SL Connoisseur since its inception has brought intriguing sim reports for your travels, and without a doubt Osiris Leshelle grants you exciting virtual trips. To France, in this issue. Osiris is one fine travel guide with her talent for capturing shots of photogenic spots: her writing here serves as pleasant and terse introduction to a well conducted interview with a sim owner very passionate about his work, deeply rooted in RL history and geography. And, still on the 'informative' side, let's not forget how SL Connoisseur features a variety of products and interviews with their maker (this month, a treat for Goreans out there!). Not to mention, a pink bear named Eliza. 'Original' ? Check!

Oh yeah, THIS is what I call a hot spread in a magazine!

 Now, 'Hot'? Oh, it's not just because it is the June issue: the hotness is guaranteed surely from the topics covered, featuring some nice kinky finds, but first and foremost by the photography! SL Connoisseur notoriously uses a double (with a third in the mix...more about it later!) centerfold format, with one being the cover girl, and the other being in the 'Pet of the month' spot. The names for both need no introduction for our group members: we are talking about the gorgeous Jewell Infinity and a model truly with a sense of style, Heather Ashford!

I have been waxing lyricals the past months about Theiasky's skills as she delivers the ideal centerfold pictorial every month; Jewell is such a babe and get her to show off basking in sun and waters was all we wished for for a June issue. I have spent even more lines lines praising Kara Hawk's ever growing photo aptitude and fresh approach to the material: this issue too explains why, in a BDSM theme shoot that stands out for angle choices and forays in black and white. Without a doubt memorable shoots for both models. What's also memorable? The feature that certainly can get the fresh reader interested the most...

Theia's photography is as usual top notch and showcases Jewell's big jade eyes quite perfectly!

The best aspect of SL Connoisseur's originality from the reader's point of view is the ample room given to its community: the magazine opens and closes with material captured by the hardest working girl on staff and true cornerstone of the mag, Kristina Deschanel. Simply put, coming to the release parties with your best look guarantees you to appear in the next issue: that means, in the picture roll that opens it. And, if your look is particularly memorable and with a naughty streak (not just meaning you'll end up all naked :p), you may end up being celebrated as Party Star! Jewell and the lads get Movember movin'!

We are entering the last week of November, and I think it's only fair to give some additional coverage to a beautiful initiative you can check out on The Midnight Sun blog (above, Midnight himself). Made for the event known as Movember, designed to promote prostate cancer awareness, it features many male pornstars and a few lovely t-girls.

" I started doing Movember back in 2012. I thought of the idea and asked someone else to do a shoot of the guys in which she did a handful, and I sort of thought, I wanted to expand it and make it more worthwhile and see who else would want to get involved...

Also I thought guys' health needed to be made aware and I dont think it had been before, and just last twice I have done this I have heard from some of the models who take part saying this is a personal thing as they have known someone who has had cancer or battling it, and found my idea to be a good one.

Dog Star Productions turns 50!

Whenever I see a new Dog Star Productions movie being announced, I know for sure that I am going to be treated to some seriously salacious sexiness in motion. I had chances to announce through the blog many of Isabelle Cheviot's movies already, and those are the kind of flicks that are easy to 'sell': full of sex, featuring a variety of actors, taking you through a lenghty satisfying ride with well picked angles and a very natural and precise camerawork (no matter how crowded they can get!).

Of course this (second to!) latest movie, Heaven, is no exception. But the movie begins with something unusual. And that is because, the movie marks a special milestone. And so, before i get to talk about the movie itself, I fancy the occasion to give Isa a chance to speak here on The Sexiest blog about the shaggiest dog in SL (you can thank me later for not titling the post '50 Shades of Greyhound' or something equally stupid). Enjoy!

- 50 movies for your production company! First of all congratulations, and remind us how did Isa Cheviot start her career in porn!

" Thank you so much! I'm proud of this accomplishment but I certainly couldn't have made 50 films without all of the performers who have been in them. I can't thank them enough! To answer your question, I got my start making a film with Priapus Moeleneaux of Velvet Rose Productions. Not long after that, a good friend of mine here in SL (Liam Erde) was interested in directing porn and so it was a good fit. "

- Tell us more then about the beginnings of Dog Star through Liam Erde, your involvement and how it transitioned to be 'your' company.

" Once Liam and I decided to film together, he had to learn how to do it! We made a few 'trial' short films that are probably long gone now and over a 2-3 month period he learned the whole process. Our first film together that was released was actually 'Lust - Becca' - which is still out on my blog.

Soon after that we got ambitious and made the first part of Izzy's Bad Day. During the filming of this, he taught me what he was doing. Told me what software he used to film, etc. There were a few more films but then sadly, RL took him away from SL entirely. I still keep in occasional touch with him by email but haven't seen him in world in quite awhile.

I wish he could be here to talk to you because really he started this whole thing. Once he decided to quit SL he sent me everything he had related to Dog Star and told me to run with it. "

- Out of these 50 movies, which one excited you the most? Also, imagine there's someone who has not seen any of your movies before. You can pick just one for him or her to begin watching. Which one would you pick?

" I'm very proud of the long films I've shot (the 2 parts of Izzy's Bad Day I filmed) and definitely Fallen Angel. I think that one is probably my best film but it's a shame that the quality is so bad out on the website. You really should see it on my laptop lol - it's much higher quality!

 I think that one is the one that overall represents what I'm trying to do. I also really enjoyed 'Brazilian Nut' and 'Cuckolded'. 'Heaven' was fun to make as well. "

- You shoot a lot in SL, and that involves also setting up the scenes etcetera. Very time consuming process, and like a certain other very prolific filmaker i have had the pleasure to work with recently, you schedule your shoots sometimes a long time in advance. What else do you like doing in SL besides making movies?

" It's true - I have to schedule in advance. I have RL relationships, have a demanding job, and am working on my MBA so I'm pretty busy. It's rare that I can just pop on and see who is available for a film. Plus as you say, the sets require some time so I need to plan ahead. But in SL when I'm not filming I really enjoy dancing and meeting fun, intelligent people. Sadly, I don't get to do much in SL besides film these days but I try. "

- Are filmaking and/or photography a passion/hobby of yours in RL too? Do you watch the movie and photo work of others and if so, tell us a bit about who would you like to work with and haven't yet.

" I don't do film making or photography in RL (i mean i have my phone I take pics with lol but nothing fancy) - this is strictly something I do in SL for fun. But I'm a huge fan of quality films in RL and am kind of a film-nerd. I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't watch a lot of work by other directors on here as much as I should; I just don't have the time.

What I *have* seen has been really amazing. I love Emily's films of course and I think there are some other highly talented people out there. I am anxious to work with Racheal Rexen, Marika Blaisdale, and Yana Grau. It's just a question of finding time."





- So, what else are you planning to celebrate your 50 movies (and how many orgasms? You DO keep score, I know....) ?

" I'm hosting a party for one thing but haven't settled on the date yet. Beyond that I just finished editing #51 and have several projects in the pipeline so no rest for the wicked lol. How many orgasms? As many as I can have!! It's funny you mention that... (yes, it's as if I knew about it or something... :p - Kat ) I *DO* keep score but not everyone knows where to look for it.

Haha - that was an idea that Ariana had and I absolutely love it - each # is the total of orgasms I have during filming AND editing combined. Yummy. If I'm being honest, it's the main reason I do this. I don't get paid for making films so orgasms are the true currency of Dog Star. If someone watches a Dog Star film and is able to have a satisfying orgasm....mission accomplished. And of course I get to have them too!! "

This latest release, Heaven, would deserve the usual bunch of screenshots and everything, especially considering it sees the Dog Star debut of the very well known Jewell Infinity, the absolute debut of the sexy DreamZ4you, and...it is only fitting that this milestone features Rob Roxley, one of the favourite actors in SL porn today, extremely easy to work with due to his laid back attitude, avalaibility and attention to getting the right look.
