Hatters gonna Hat - Your week in challenges

We're always glad to use The Sexiest Pornstars blog to help promote and give visibility to contests and themed challenges, and this week offered again a few! We are open to publish more!


Woiven in  "Leave your hat on"  ...do I make a Joe Cock-er joke here?

The group founded by magazine covergirl monopolyst Brea Brianna, P.A.S.S. , launched last week another theme, 'Hats'. This beauty of a photo by Woiven was a deserving winner, but the quality of all submissions posted through the P.A.S.S. flickr group was really noteworthy. A big thank you to everyone who put their name in the hat. So to speak!

Brea's group enjoys to give its members opportunities and help, and there are more initiatives coming up. Including a fantastic photo contest with a very unique opportunity. Which i won't divulge here because hey, join and you'll find out. So, if this theme was 'Hats', which one is the next?

For good results on your themes, feel free to use the group notices, to speak with me directly pointing out your ideas, coordinate with fellow members and also use Flickr as a vehicle to attract interest and an easy reference, flickr groups are made for that purpose.

Moonlight P.A.S.S.ion - a week of challenges!

A new week of contests, challenges, themes in the porn world, to challenge each other's creativity. I love to hear about them, so please let me know about what is happening around and you would like to promote using the group and the blog.

Long time group member and resident fitted mesh guru Keeley Snowfall proposed to give the Thursdays a running theme, exactly for that purpose. Her idea was "Moonlight", and here you can see how that theme inspired some of the group members.

And the theme for the next week is a very interesting one, and a very feasible one too! In Keeley's words...

"Time for me to let you know what the theme is for next Thursday's, Themed Thursday. It will be "Anyone New and Not You" So find anyone you have not taken a picture of before, can have more than one person in it. Your alts, and the alts of the people you have already taken a picture of, also can't be used in the picture."

The idea offers so many possibilities. Speaking of which...

The girls in the group, born as you'll remember to help and support, have showcased as usual  impressive artwork all this time, and you can check out some fine examples below.

Next week's theme is another intriguing one, and an easy one to do as well!
The theme is HATS, and it's one theme with so many possible applications. Hopefully everyone can have fun with it. And like Erin this week, there will also be a winning photo, with the winner rewarded personally by the group owner and founder Brea Brianna in a little girl time at the shops!

And finally for this post, another really cool initiative, this time proposed by one of the most enthusiastic wanderers of the sexy side of SL, Jenny Starveling!

Jenny launched one no-holds-barred really special Scavenger Hunt!



Complete this scavenger hunt by taking a photo of each item on the list. There are 100 items, plus a final self-portrait (#101). You must submit a separate photo for each item. Your Self -portrait must be your final photo. The rest, however, you can take in an order you wish.
And naturally since I'm a naughty girl, I'm not going to limit the content of the pictures. Even sexual intimacy is encouraged, as long as the scavenger hunt item is in the pic with you and whoever you are with :)

This is meant to be fun & challenging. I foresee an approximately one year time-table for completion, because some items are seasonal. Take your time and build a collection you can be proud of. Creative thinking is encouraged, but no substitutions. Part of the idea here is to try new things, so branch out and try to use different photography styles -- take a picture you normally wouldn't.

These contests give different tasks, but have the common goal to provide inspiration for those 'what am I gonna to shoot today?' moments and put imaginations on a dare when it comes to display your talent. But most importantly, they all are meant to be an entertaining vehicle to express your artistic side and potentially aggregate further the member of the community. Pooling resources for themed photos can be quite important, and to be frank, every experience like this is so much more fun when shared!

Wait, what? Why is that good news? I know that might sound surprising, especially if you have celebrated already enough birthdays to make the candles cost more than the cake itself, but it IS good news, because Pro*vocative came out and brought us a super-sexy Back To School special!

The Sexiest® Awards: Keeley Snowfall's coverage!

One week ago, as you might have heard, our traditional version of the Oscars happened, and as any event with that type of playful pomp deserves, it had also official photographers and  a red carpet section!

I presented to you already the photos from the first night by Erin Cedarbridge and Melina Jameson, and Marika Blaisdale's from the second. Now it's time to show you the ones taken by another red carpet photographer, who already covered the event the year before, and the year before that. There you have, Keeley Snowfall's photos! Enjoy.

Pornstars Poll Result : You Wanna Be A Porn Movie Star!

I know our 'Where Are We At?' Poll may have surprised a few people. The results showing a majority of Pornstars visiting and voting want to be Second Life Porn Movie Stars!  ( 48% voting to be a Movie Star to 30% who wanted to be Porn Photo Models. The remaining votes split between Glam/Erotic and Magazine Pin Up.). A contradiction to how many see the Porn scene right now. With photography often seen by many as #1.

Why is this? I think despite the advantages photography has over movies, ie it's quick and easy to follow even if you're away from your computer, on phones, tablets etc. It also has many more 'producers' offering more opportunities for more models ( members.) to participate. In turn meaning it's a hugely diverse part of porn, with so much hot content produced and seen daily.

Being a 'movie star' though still has that x factor and glamour attached. Even though movies may not release to quite as much fanfare as they once did on the scene generally, they still mean a hell of a lot to those who produced them, and star in them, and to those close to those people too. Being a porn movie star is still a hot, and cool thing to be! it was a big enough deal to launch this Blog and The Pornstars Group in Second Life back in the day, and build what we have today, and it still is.

My advice to movie makers is market the hell out of your productions. Create nice screen shots and content for Flickr which in turn gets you an audience from the Photo following crowd, and also allows bloggers like Katina here on The Pornstars Blog to use that material and cover the movies right here. Katina is doing a great job of putting movies back on the map, and in turn bringing back their appeal on the scene. Adding to your exposure.

If you steer people to a movie you're truly proud of the audience will enjoy it. Pornstars movie producers may all be at different places on the learning curve, but wherever you are, effort and creativity shine through, and are usually appreciated and enjoyed.

I'd like to thank some really great Blog followers who left superb comments following the post which launched this poll. I've published them after the jump!

I'd also like to say i hope we can have a group where all genres of Second Life Porn are equally appreciated and seen. Many photography projects have equal effort and creativity in them compared to many movies. They are erotic works of art, which have really built this scene up to amazing heights. So to say photography is 'easy' or 'easier' is a myth. My latest photo/comic was much more involved than my early simple movies for example.

Magazines too are establishing themselves as a big medium on our scene, they also have a really sexy, and glamourous aura attached to them. They are hot and fun to be involved with. They will keep on growing because their owners and publishers are dedicated, hard working, and creative. The models involved in photography and magazine work too are just getting mind blowingly great!

Any members at the top of their game and working hard to produce Photo's, Movies, or Magazines, are doing an awesome job and they should all be equally proud of contributing. Models, Actresses, and Actors too who work hard to present themselves as pure sexiness! and their investment in doing so means they deserve huge praise also.

A big thanks to all the Movie Makers, Photographers, Magazine Publishers, and to all those appearing in all their projects, you're all well and truly The Sexiest®!!!
