  Tatiana Easterwood means so much to so many here that it's not possible to make a single characterization.  Her awesome creative talents and abilities are the stuff of legend.  Even better she is just so lovely, open, warm and supportive of others.  Tati is an integral part of our little corner of Second Life and we are blessed to have her with us.  From her epic historical and biblical compositions to her humorous and fun creations and on to her haunting pensive moods and the indescribably sexy images that she produces for us all to absorb with wonder, she remains humble and just plain nice.  I have had the pleasure and honor to work with Tati on a few occasions and I have loved it.  I'm sure everyone who works with her feels the same.  Please enjoy a sampling of her marvelous work here, and Tati, thank you for being you :)

SL Connoisseur

A new month, and new magazines populate the virtual newstands! We are always happy on the Pornstars blog to give coverage to publications who have strong ties with the world of adult entertainment and the personalities of this scene (IM me for details anytime). And the most consistent for well over a year has certainly been SL Connoisseur in the person of his owner and publisher Edvard Taurion.

Suki is one sultry beauty and a perfect Pet of the Month for Cheryl to shoot!

Houses, boats...and boat houses! Well what a way to combine the best of two worlds then! Jokes aside, SL Connoisseur is an important magazine for our community with its lifestyle mag ambitions: together with the valuable shopping tips promotes something to me even more valuable: the talent and skill of its staffers. The work done by the people who committed to this monthly effort is remarkable, as the magazine operates with the criteria of efficiency and professionality that have been the trademark of Edvard Taurion in his blogging career.

Edvard illustrates several products through the magazine, with the level of professionalism he has built his name on.

So, a big praise to Cheryl Reddevil for her Pet of the Month pictorial featuring the always beautiful Suki (Masuki Silvansky), to the cover artist Eva Brunswick for her feature of Tatiana Easterwood, to Lesley Aristocrat who brings quality photography on top of her always sexy and cute presence in the interviews, to Midnight Darkness for her sim coverage, and of course to Onisa Lundquist, party dj and long term fashion editor - her article this month feature one of the most popular designers in SL and a personal favourite of mine! - plus the precise work by Kristina Deschanel both editing the magazine and taking the pictures for the release party. Uh-uh, because....

There IS going to be a release party, as you can imagine! Edvard has been having fun with those, and it's always amusing to look at your partygoer self stare at you from the magazine pages. Onisa will bring her tunes and her sexy voice, Ed, Kristina and the others will be there, and so...You will have to be there! A lot about our 'business' is based on self-promotion and being proactive, so if I were you I would not miss the opportunity !  So be at the party Tuesday 4th, starting at 11 AM SLT!

Magazines in Second Life are a really popular choice, for reasons we tried to investigate in the past already. The simple act of working on an issue and 'finish' it brings some virtual tangibility and a sense of closure and fulfilment, and a new issue and a new challenge are soon ahead. Challenges that require to focus the efforts of a team towards a common goal and project. Is the project worth it? Does the magazine have a vision? From their blog page, let's see what the creed of this new creation is...

" You got it right, this magazine is about sex. You may like it or not, but sex is a large part of Second Life. The industry is huge and fascinating, and can open your world to an abundance of possibilities you never experienced or even thought of yet. Needless to say, this is pretty much what bring our group together as well, with the label of 'Pornstars' for individuals who portray sex in so many different ways. There's more.


Ivanna Hanni is one of the individuals interviewed by Gaheris Edelmann for his insightful article about BDSM.

" While you will find stunning, arousing, and downright naughty art here, we pride ourselves on being a magazine that focuses on the wonderful individuals and concepts of the sex industry. We aren't centered around page volume so much as bringing you quality photos and information with each issue. We are all about the buildup and release of interesting ideas, viewpoints, and information. "

The goal of the magazine in this first issue is very clear and as declared. SX Magazine is a new magazine, but the presentation is state of the art, and that should come to no surprise when you consider that the creator, Virgil (Virgilius08) has a proven experience with the very demanding format of the comic book.


A very clever spin on the 'his and her perspective' concept, featuring the photography by Erika

Virgil's excellent design is supported the photography of someone who is a true revelation to me: Maya Bones (syataha Resident). You could not tell at all that this is Maya's first magazine. Her style of photography seems to be made for this task. She's not the only one providing photography: Erika Madazzhatter did a very professional job, and there are of course the original photos by the covergirl and pornographer (but also artist...fucking photographer or not!) Tatiana Easterwood.


The everlasting debate!

With this kind of quality in the photos and the presentation up to the standard, I think I am not gonna be misunderstood when I say that the strong point of the issue lies in the written word. As mentioned above in the presentation, a bountiful page volume is not the main worry of the maker, but rest assured that this issue has a 'lasting' power greater than publications 10 times its size. (Is that why you took so damn long to write about it, Kat? Oh shut up, voice in my head).
But there's also another bit from the intro that I left out...

" Because we love the SL sex industry, its artisans and concepts, we've decided to kick off the birth of SX Magazine by organizing the SX Magazine Awards. The awards are open to photographers, models, directors and actors. This is our way of celebrating the SL adult business and its people, showing everyone in our second world what our wonderful artists can create."



Ah damn it! Just as I THOUGHT that we were done with the Sexiest Awards thing and all...
Okay, here's the deal.

You have to read more about this contest , on theSX Magazine blog, and on the magazine itself. In fact, in the upcoming new issue you WILL read more about it. More than you can imagine.
Right now, if you have questions about this new photo-movies extravaganza and are already looking forward to a future with a gala, possible statuettes and all that, IM Virgilius08 Resident, or even myself, Katina Cazalet. I can't think of a better person to feature on the final, Christmas Day edition of the Holiday Calendar. Kirsten is just about the first big star in Pornstars to do so through Photography. Back when the group was dominated by Movie makers and movie stars, Kirsten was a real pioneer of a genre that's now become the biggest part of the scene. Model's and fellow Photographers have a lot to thank her for. Being super talented, and super sexy is a big bonus too! Congrats Kirsten for being window #25 on our Sexiest® Pornstars - Holiday Calendar!

Since Spirit is so good at presenting her material in a concise way, I am going to raid her flickr description for quotes, or at least the summary.

And that's just a fraction of the great experience, Retroville-style, that this magazines provides. With this month's 'theme' exploring a darker side with gripping results.

Seddy is a naughty girl! What a surprise!

Again I show to you a couple shots in the pristine perfection provided (watch me alliterate!) by plurime prizewinner photographer Spirit Eleonara, but the clever wordplay and professional work by Hard Rust with the layout is an unmissable element of what makes this production so stylish, different, and perfectly themed.

Margie is looking for some dick in this issue. No, really.

Speaking of theme: as I had the chance to say about a previous issue, it's a fun exercise in style to play with the framework of the 50s era, but the humour and attitude of The Living End, of course are the ones from our time and age.
What Hard and Spirit always meant with this project, is to give people something different and fun to do, and they assembled a fantastic material for it. One of the most beautiful and characteristic sims you can find in the destination guide of SL, Retroville is a place to roleplay at, a place to take photos and shoot movies (I had the pleasure to wreak havoc in the streets just earlier this week for a production), but that of course doesn't mean that it wants to exclude or chase off the casual visitor. In fact, more and more often you can see in Hard's notices in group, the invite to join the fun at the parties there, with no strict dress code.

Timeless beauty, Zuby Gloom

It IS more fun if you try to live the setting a bit, and there are many excellent shopping opportunities on the premises, but just don't miss out on the entertainmente and the beauty of the location because you "don't know how to do the 50s".

And there is not one chance, but THREE to join the Retroville fun this weekend. Because yes, it's been nine, yes NINE years since the inception of Hard Alley, Second Life's Original Sin, and now Retroville.

Wanna Flick? Early July Edition

My health is a bit precarious these days (nothing bad, don't save prayers just yet!), and I have a bit catchup to do on pre-award movies! But today, to make things worse, I am gonna tackle 2 flicks that are as recent as it gets. First of all, gonna tell you to watch...

You can guess what inspired this movie from the title already, and if that's not a clue big enough, just peek at the song credits. But actually, the movie started as a challenge by director Marika Blaisdale to herself (you know she loves challenges), about making a whole POV movie. The title, and the inspiration about the trippy style of the flick, simply worked themselves into her vision for the movie.

Well, I am quite close to the source, but I am not reviewing or judging here: I simply point out what you can easily see yourselves. Not gonna post a lot of screenshots to avoid spoiling it to you, but I do believe you'll find the style of the shoot extremely original, energetic, and immersive.

Also, I can't help but being thrilled about the choices for the cast, with 2 greats of photography never used enough in movies,

and a variety of other people brought in for the group scene, including poledancers Kei Frequency and Erika Thorkveld, and dancing patrons Sweet Melons and Dea DeSantis.

Check it out, and you'll see what makes me so excited about it, and movies who try new approaches in general!

Well, BESIDES the fact that I am in it and get some action, of course!

Now, another movie my partner is a big fan of and she planned some scenes about is a true classic of modern day cinema. And Dillon brings us his version of it! Sort of!

Starring himself as the super sayan version of the only celebrity that would have been ideal to host the Sexiest Awards, and Bewitched Difference as the second coming of Uma Thurman (might be me, but I think her acting career flourished just as Uma's stalled...coincidence?).

As in Dillon's movies, you can expect a cool soundtrack, a very effective montage, and in this case, also Be's sexy ass, instead of Carly's sexy ass.

You won't find him performing his patented wanking here, but he's probably saving up for the next one.

Watch the movie if you are into sexy asses (not right now...why are you reading this blog in the middle of anal? sheesh!), soft lights, a hot girl and a guy with a skinny butt whose nickname is, apparently "Dillydong".
