Hatters gonna Hat - Your week in challenges

We're always glad to use The Sexiest Pornstars blog to help promote and give visibility to contests and themed challenges, and this week offered again a few! We are open to publish more!


Woiven in  "Leave your hat on"  ...do I make a Joe Cock-er joke here?

The group founded by magazine covergirl monopolyst Brea Brianna, P.A.S.S. , launched last week another theme, 'Hats'. This beauty of a photo by Woiven was a deserving winner, but the quality of all submissions posted through the P.A.S.S. flickr group was really noteworthy. A big thank you to everyone who put their name in the hat. So to speak!



Last week's winner Erinyes Celestalis in "P.A.S.S. ~ The Hat"....Focus, and you might see indeed a hat in the pic!

Brea's group enjoys to give its members opportunities and help, and there are more initiatives coming up. Including a fantastic photo contest with a very unique opportunity. Which i won't divulge here because hey, join and you'll find out. So, if this theme was 'Hats', which one is the next?

For good results on your themes, feel free to use the group notices, to speak with me directly pointing out your ideas, coordinate with fellow members and also use Flickr as a vehicle to attract interest and an easy reference, flickr groups are made for that purpose.

The Pornstars' Rack: On Fire!

Aroused! Magazine



Hey, rather basic opening for the post, but it will be all about substance, much alike the magazine. Hopefully you are familiar with this magazine already! This is the second year of Marika Blaisdale's Aroused, and we are one issue away from 40. Quite a journey it has been!

Soon in a theater near you: 'Dance with Swallows'. Robin Rondini as the hot male lead, no Kevin Costner.

The issue was a little tough to find the balance of. I admit, I feel in retrospect that it's even a 'too' packed issue, with a great amount of talent in it and some of the finest work from those photographers. But I was getting impatient to release it, and after the next issue we are probably going to take a little holiday break for our RL schedules. So, keeping in the storage room some of these sets could lead to an even more crowded midsummer edition.

Yep, that is EXACTLY what happens for every issue. Revision is such  a tough job.

Melina Jameson has 2 photosets in this issue that will be very difficult to top in the next one. One is very special for me, all about Melina's faculty to set up fun scenes and do homages the way both Marika and I enjoy best: in a light hearted (and porny!) way. It was lovely to have models like Kei Frequency, Mellie Criss and Simoni Tigerfish for it !
Now for the second shoot, it's called Dreams come true, and it's all about Melina's artistic skills as an erotic photographer. The quality is stellar, the models Sandra Palletier and Ashlynn Jameson are icons of our porn world and meaningful ones for Melina, and it is the photoset that gave me the hardest time choosing, this issue or the next? Especially because...

Sandra would certainly be a great NSA airport inspector...

....well, because Sandra Palletier was set to be in this issue already, with a -wonderful- set of her own! You have seen in these years of Sandra pictures several encounters of hers with the delicious Delicence, but I think this set from the issue is as good as it can get. Sandra has always been one of the most enthusiastic and consistent contributors to Marika's magazine(s), and I am grateful for this opportunity to feature her once again.

I don't believe I ever featured Nicasio Ansar in three photosets in a single issue, but he had the most captivating models in the duo of Dora Lane and Ziekel and he made my day, week and month by shooting one of the most interesting and beautiful stars of our scene, the ever modish Sandy Miggins. And yeah well, he insisted on taking pics of me too, so whatever, Nica. You win.

No, not making a 'getting wet' joke right now. Later at the party I might, ok?

Now, in my blog posts I try always to give priority to personalities who identify themselves with the porn scene or Sexiest Group in general, so I won't mention a lot about the contribution to the magazine by the trio of friends Aloyssia Hema, Loly Hallison, Marika Djannovic, but their work for Aroused speaks volumes, and I am grateful for their punctuality, committment and helpfulness. Same goes for Erika Madazzhatter, that I am going to mention also for her recent quality work for another really cool mag!

I don't want to make an overlong post about the magazine of my partner, but it was so difficult to pick a cover, even more difficult to not single out every one here for their skillful performance. Rachel Swallows' set is creative magic, Woiven is one of the talents in group that I am enjoying featuring the most these days with her artistic talents and versatility, and Rachel Avro gave this magazine a photoset that can make the sultry model Severina truly proud. Makes ME proud for sure to have been able to feature that!

Okay, somehow I made it to the end of this post, with so much more to say, but I'll settle for this! I need to remind you about to get this thing, right? Marketplace. Issuu. Kiosks.
Also... Aroused! magazine has a presence in world thanks to that Nicasio guy, who set up a gallery for us in his AMAZING, really and seriously amazing sim. Heck, maybe it's not even a good choice to have a gallery there, the sim is so cool it's distracting! Ok well, don't want to oversell it, but I'm trying to be cheeky here and say, that we are going to try and put really cool photos there so you are not tempted to look outside.

You know, PJ homages Aroused in this set with B.E.N. and Sasquatch...oh, can't see it? Take a look at the whole set!

We are starting the summer exhibits with the opening party for someone loaded with melanine (must be, to cover that large buttockal area of hers), the Partee girl herself Parthenea! Today at 7-9 PM SLT, with Dj Stacia Reinoir! Wait, what else should we say about it? Oh, well! there will be cool stuff! Ask me about it in-world!

This group is a group by girls, for girls. To help the newcomers, and to share experiences between one another. I was genuinely impressed by how quickly Brea in a conference chat during one of those chaotic pornstars parties came up with the concept, the clever and catchy acronym, the idea for a logo, and gathered support to get it started.
You all know how Brea is relatively 'new' to the business but established herself as one of the top stars thanks to her drive, passion and motivation. She retains a freshness in her perspective (or hasn't had the time to get all jaded already!), and definitely wants to share what she learned.

My own experience as an used up....i mean, semi-new member of the pornstars community tells me that it's inevitable and in some cases advisable for smaller interest groups to form. We have seen through the years many production studios, a few personality-driven aggregations of like-minded individuals, sometimes accused of elitism in some form, and some groups who aimed at helping their member figure out how to make their way in the 'industry' at large.
It has been the case of Studs of Porn, born from an idea of Gaheris Edelmann and aimed at the male population of porn, and P.I.C. , the Porn Information Centre founded by Eva Brunswick. The collaboration with our blog for both project had fruitful results in the past.

I thank Brea for involving me in this project, and I appreciate a lot the accent she put on stimulating the creativity and the proactive efforts of the members. She begun by launching the idea for a photo theme of the week, and even on short notice the results have been noteworthy. Deadly in Red was the first theme, and the deserved winner of a prize from the wonders of Brea's closet was Woiven, with the stunning photography you saw opening the post.

The next theme , due on Wednesday 18th is "Pretty in Pink".

Make a magazine one day, win an award the day after, snap all the other awardees the following...busy life for Marika Blaisdale as usual, but she manages to always get things done, and she has so more in store, so many surprises.
What is not surprising anymore is the great quality of her magazine, Aroused!

She is becoming a familiar faces at the Pornstars Parties, and making photos herself now !

Photoshoot after photoshoot, Aroused puts many beautiful models in the spotlight thanks to the ceaseless work of the regular artists: in this issue in particular, the amount of 'fresh blood' is impressive. Beginning with the lovely model Starr Reinard, shot by the guest photographer Nicasio Ansar, new to the magazine himself but that already established himself as a very versatile and sought after talent on the scene. And going on, with sensual shemale Woiven photographed by Zuby Gloom, and 2 tremendous avis from a real queen of erotic publications, Spirit Eleonara.

Her masculine/feminine photoset features at their best Kyndred Kamala and mr. Doom himself, 'RandomDD' Dethly.!

Completing the issue, more debutante hotness by Melina Jameson, featuring another cutie learning photography in Jalywa,  and the always sexy and never seen enough Ceri Qinan. But let's not forget, of course, another hot regular of the magazine in Cindy Frindy!
And Marika's work, with someone whose work will never be celebrated enough, and whose talent and versatility as model are criminally underrated: Tatiana Easterwood.

This is my time to use the "smoking hot" line! Yay, one more caption in the books.

There is just so much to see on Aroused, every month...twice a month, actually! Putting together a remarkable series of creative photosets ranging between all variations of the erotica spectrum, it's a great vehicle for the talent of photographers and a must have for the discerning model!
Oh I sound so much in promo mode now, but it's the bit when I just tell you: Go Get Aroused! On Marketplace, through in-world kiosks (such as the one located at Britannia Village, Royal Albert Hall, where the Exhibit for the magazine is still taking place!), and of course, online.
