Aroused! Magazine



Hey, rather basic opening for the post, but it will be all about substance, much alike the magazine. Hopefully you are familiar with this magazine already! This is the second year of Marika Blaisdale's Aroused, and we are one issue away from 40. Quite a journey it has been!

Soon in a theater near you: 'Dance with Swallows'. Robin Rondini as the hot male lead, no Kevin Costner.

The issue was a little tough to find the balance of. I admit, I feel in retrospect that it's even a 'too' packed issue, with a great amount of talent in it and some of the finest work from those photographers. But I was getting impatient to release it, and after the next issue we are probably going to take a little holiday break for our RL schedules. So, keeping in the storage room some of these sets could lead to an even more crowded midsummer edition.

Yep, that is EXACTLY what happens for every issue. Revision is such  a tough job.

Melina Jameson has 2 photosets in this issue that will be very difficult to top in the next one. One is very special for me, all about Melina's faculty to set up fun scenes and do homages the way both Marika and I enjoy best: in a light hearted (and porny!) way. It was lovely to have models like Kei Frequency, Mellie Criss and Simoni Tigerfish for it !
Now for the second shoot, it's called Dreams come true, and it's all about Melina's artistic skills as an erotic photographer. The quality is stellar, the models Sandra Palletier and Ashlynn Jameson are icons of our porn world and meaningful ones for Melina, and it is the photoset that gave me the hardest time choosing, this issue or the next? Especially because...

Sandra would certainly be a great NSA airport inspector...

....well, because Sandra Palletier was set to be in this issue already, with a -wonderful- set of her own! You have seen in these years of Sandra pictures several encounters of hers with the delicious Delicence, but I think this set from the issue is as good as it can get. Sandra has always been one of the most enthusiastic and consistent contributors to Marika's magazine(s), and I am grateful for this opportunity to feature her once again.

I don't believe I ever featured Nicasio Ansar in three photosets in a single issue, but he had the most captivating models in the duo of Dora Lane and Ziekel and he made my day, week and month by shooting one of the most interesting and beautiful stars of our scene, the ever modish Sandy Miggins. And yeah well, he insisted on taking pics of me too, so whatever, Nica. You win.

No, not making a 'getting wet' joke right now. Later at the party I might, ok?

Now, in my blog posts I try always to give priority to personalities who identify themselves with the porn scene or Sexiest Group in general, so I won't mention a lot about the contribution to the magazine by the trio of friends Aloyssia Hema, Loly Hallison, Marika Djannovic, but their work for Aroused speaks volumes, and I am grateful for their punctuality, committment and helpfulness. Same goes for Erika Madazzhatter, that I am going to mention also for her recent quality work for another really cool mag!

I don't want to make an overlong post about the magazine of my partner, but it was so difficult to pick a cover, even more difficult to not single out every one here for their skillful performance. Rachel Swallows' set is creative magic, Woiven is one of the talents in group that I am enjoying featuring the most these days with her artistic talents and versatility, and Rachel Avro gave this magazine a photoset that can make the sultry model Severina truly proud. Makes ME proud for sure to have been able to feature that!

Okay, somehow I made it to the end of this post, with so much more to say, but I'll settle for this! I need to remind you about to get this thing, right? Marketplace. Issuu. Kiosks.
Also... Aroused! magazine has a presence in world thanks to that Nicasio guy, who set up a gallery for us in his AMAZING, really and seriously amazing sim. Heck, maybe it's not even a good choice to have a gallery there, the sim is so cool it's distracting! Ok well, don't want to oversell it, but I'm trying to be cheeky here and say, that we are going to try and put really cool photos there so you are not tempted to look outside.

You know, PJ homages Aroused in this set with B.E.N. and Sasquatch...oh, can't see it? Take a look at the whole set!

We are starting the summer exhibits with the opening party for someone loaded with melanine (must be, to cover that large buttockal area of hers), the Partee girl herself Parthenea! Today at 7-9 PM SLT, with Dj Stacia Reinoir! Wait, what else should we say about it? Oh, well! there will be cool stuff! Ask me about it in-world!

Hello! Pornstars - 29 Jan 2016

Oh man, MORE party pics? Why of course!
I haven't shown you party photos from Club Yana in a while, like...the actual club that looks like a club, where sand doesn't get everywhere (and i mean -everywhere-!).
From today's party on for a while it will be back with a pool design, so let's have a little look at some photos from last Friday, and a few more I haven't shown before!



As usual, the parties see plenty of talented individuals gather, and these high quality captures of Woozer by Ali Lancrae above, and Robert Eroica Dupea by Athena right below here, are good examples of that. A big thanks also to the sexy Nifredil for his expressionist shots that you can check in an album on his flickr- looking forward to see it grow!-, and there is SO much more to follow, with a batch of anonymous sneaky pap shoots delivered to the door of my office by an unknown source. The most surprising part of all this of course being the fact that I don't have an office.

As we jingle all the way through the snow, I have to share something about the latest issue of...

Aroused! Magazine



Every magazine that came out this month has a healthy (or unhealthy, perhaps!) dose of Xmas sugariness plaguing it, and Aroused makes no exception. If you take a peek at the magazine in its introductory pages, dare I say impeccably designed as they are is (by its owner Marika Blaisdale), you can already get a rambling from its current editor-in-name. Yes, what I am getting at, is that I already presented this material in my foreword, and now I am trying desperately not to repeat myself, ok?

Nah, I am kidding! There's always so much to say about Aroused. I will try to be brief , though. Aroused leaves complete freedom to the photographers about their pictures' theme. The results was an issue definitely festive, but that wouldn't make the Grinch even more bilious. In the end, it delivers what is most important about xmas.

And that of course, is boobs. In this case, Ali Fox's.

Oh man, so many talented photographers, so many beautiful models. I was deligthed to give the cover spot to one of those photographers who contributed to the magazine and embodies its spirit in more ways than one, Sandra Palletier. And incidentally with a photoshoot that features her partner, and an accomplished artist on her own, Leinjan Aries. And her second photoshoot....Oh I am not gonna tell you who is with. One person I have to pretty much equate with Xmas this year, for reasons that many of you already know.

Hard for me to tell which shoot I enjoyed the most. Sandra's work stood out, but what about the sublime eroticism captured by Sasquatch Rhino in his shoot with Ali Fox, and 'balanced' by the monochrome tasteful nudes of the lovely Charlottexoxoxo? And Lylah Landar's ace photoshoot? Pure inspiration and the level of naughty that you can find only in a magazine like Aroused. And Melina Jameson again gave to the magazine an invaluable contribution, with her playful erotic holiday cards-like pics. I am thankful to her for her work and support from the bottom of my heart.

"His stick or mine?" or "Who got wood now?" are 2 possible titles for this pic with Natty(NatassiaDreams), by Melina!

But I am not gonna use this space to give my Fallon-esque "thank you notes" to each and every person who appeared here: they deserve it, but my appreciation is just one little opinion from one person: they deserve much more to be seen in their art, in their appearance, in their work and being. Especially those who made their magazine debut as photographers with this issue! Angie Wild (Oyo Mills), Chrissy Zipper, Jenny Starveling: you all know them, and if you don't, great, check their work out and you'll be fans, I am sure.

I know I am!

And the special mention goes to Nicasio Ansar. Why him? Well! Well, of course he brought to the magazine again two photosets, one with one of the most remarkable models on the adult entertainment scene in Ashley Sugarplum, the other putting his photographic talents to the service of one of the most notable personalities, the imaginative and always beautiful Warmanimations Lisa, that we are grateful for her sponsorship throughout the magazine's run.

BUT ALSO, because he decided to host an exhibit dedicated to the magazine, on his sim.
Nica's White Moment sim is one of the many hidden gems of SL. I hope that when you visit the gallery of the magazine you'll take your time enjoying the pictures as an art gallery experience of sorts, something to navigate through, perhaps with a friend (the thoughtful Nica 'hid' a dance machine that will make any of your terpsichorean needs come true), even themed mesh clothing in standard sizes and fitted mesh bodies versions (!). But once you are done, just go outside and have a look at the magnificence that is the sim.




No really, the sim is gorgeous! What do you mean I should have picked a landscape shot? Pfft...

The Pornstars' Rack: Yes, Magazines!

With the new batch of December magazines coming out, from another excellent edition of Busted to the latest biggest and bestest issue of SL Connoisseur to date, it's just about time that I blog from the end of November a bit of ....

Aroused! Magazine



Where do I begin? Aroused! is a very self-explanatory magazine: we don't really want to give our readers some, uh, actual reading to do - although I do get the odd request for interviews now and then -, but rather a well produced publication about SL photography, featuring talents who are eager to get their work out there, and with very few limits about the explicitness of the content. What's on this issue? Well...

I forced my partner Marika Blaisdale to work extra in this issue: not just because she had to come up with something smart and slick looking for the table of content layout and all the other little touches that give the magazine its professional - yes, if I may say so myself !- look...

...but also she finally comes back showing her photography on her own magazine! As much as I have enjoyed the past couple of issues, I think they were missing some of her charming photography, and the models she brings here are very different from one another, but both no strangers for sure to the world of porn. We are talking about the bodaceous Janna Sugarbeet and the lovely Terri Topliss, of course.

Besides the happy welcome for Marika's photography, I literally don't know where to start to talk about this issue - it's the trouble of trying to blog something I am so close to: everything about this issue excited me and there's so much about it I'd love to share.
I am certainly excited as always about 'new blood' to the magazine, and Katmee brought us one of those shoots you can see only in Aroused. And what about Rachel Avro? I often joke about her sneaking her way in every magazine one way or another, but I am truly happy of the way she chose to appear in Aroused this issue, with a photo set of another stunning model who gets around quite a bit: the lovely Partee. You have seen a lot of it already in the daily galleries!

But as I had the chance to mention in my foreword in the magazine itself, I am really delighted and thankful for all the contributions from the staffers, new and old.
Thankful to Sandra Palletier, who provides to the magazine prime quality shoots: her 'A cafe in Kairos' is a pleasure for the eyes and has all the distinct features of a Sandra photoshoot, with its dark and decadent atmosphere: a pure t-girl sex and bondage affair!
And delighted to see Sasquatch Rhino back in magazine form: you notice from his flickr and his "Make me pose" project how he has time and energy for pictures again, and his 2 sets for the magazine are so different in tone. Which one is your favourite? The sex interlude with Nisha Storm? The erotic-filled pin-ups of Ali Fox? That's why I love having the luck of being the editor of a magazine like Aroused.

I had a few 'doubles' in this issue, in fact, and I loved it. Adele Simondsen is a dream model, but she has also been a dream of a magazine photographer for me in her tenure with the magazine so far. You have to love her choice of models here. You might not know 'Casi' (although the sexy Stacia knows something about her!) but Ali Lancrae needs no introduction, right?

 

Melina Jameson did not bring two photoshoots, but she worked like a small army, and a small army of models she brought over for her pictures, featuring in her pics nearly more models than all the other photographers combined! Arienne Evangeline (Eonya), Ashlynn Jameson, Carter Holloway, Kei Frequency, Laredo Lowtide, Mandylovsyou, Margarita Blanco, Marika Blaisdale's partner, Melina Jameson, mrs. Scarlet F. (scarletfreedomofficial), River Oryl(Nadia Diker), Parthenea, and I believe, also the kitchen sink!

I went a bit long and I try not to make these magazine posts long, I promise i'll make the next Aroused one shorter. But I left for last the contribution by Nicasio Ansar: not only he shot the person who ended up being the covergirl for the issue, that Carla Draesia that you'll see soon again on these pages...err, posts, since she just completed a milestone in her porn career.... But also, brought to the magazine one of those photoshoots that really warm my heart, in many ways.

In his irritating modesty he says that it's 99% the model's credit, and truly Kei Frequency is a fantastic model who brings a lot to a photoshoot: she knows a lot about photography, and surely knows darn well how to look awesome. Still, this "Examples of snowflake classification" photoshoot is such a strange, inspired, artistic, erotic concept, translated in such finely composed and purely beautiful images, that I think mr. Ansar deserves a lot of praise.
