Oh yes, I thoroughly enjoyed this issue of the magazine, and once more I have a long list of people to thank, starting off with my partner Marika Blaisdale, for putting up with me and providing the flawless and professional layout for the magazine here. Whenever I come up to her with the most extravagant last-minute requests, she is always able to make the issue happen.

My completely unbiased opinion is of course that you do have to check out this issue (duh!) because it's full of erotic juiciness dipped in photographic awesomesauce. I probably have to detail that with this writeup, but one thing Aroused does, is avoiding writeups (besides my opening logorrhea and the proper credits for every shoot) and use its stylishly put together pages to showcase fine graphics.

What Aroused does, is essentially to give a platform for exciting, creative, sensual artists to be, you know, actually exciting, creative and sensual. It's a magazine made with the contribution of many pornstars, and here I am gonna mention pretty much all of them, since it's pretty much the point of these posts, but does not identify itself with 'porn' as such. Oh you heard this a lot of times, though, and don't be mistaken. I am not going 'there', to that point where a magazine owner touts that they are 'not porn' because they put themselves above it, in a way.

What I mean is, that Aroused is all about the photography, all about the artists, and doesn't 'pre-judge' their work. What they want to portray, what they do. Does not shy away from publishing a well done explicit sex photoshoot, as it doesn't feel a need to protect them. The vaste majority of photos in this issue is what would amount to 'artistic nudes', but we are interested in an audience that can also appreciate what's behind, or rather, what goes in, a 'porn' shoot. That's why I was proud to have in this issue the magazine debut of an artist like PJ Thornton, who needs no presentation for our group members, and that authors so many inventive photoshoots and photos, inspired from a wide range of sources, from humor and pop-culture to real icons of traditional figurative art.

Oh but enough yapping: on this issue, the masterful work of Spirit Eleonara, the erotic perfection that is Lylah Landar, a double salvo from the returning Tammy Jones, Nicasio Ansar providing his usual colours and more, Rachel Avro wearing her photographer hat (and we'll see more of her soon again...), Cindy Frindy's professional artwork, and I can only say, that's just a fraction, as we were happy to involve one very naughty girl (big thanks to my compatriot Sidam for bringing her to my attention!) in Annabell Sauber, and the cover girl(s) Marika Djannovic and Aloyssia Hema outdid themselves with their respective photosets.

Amongst the models, in completely random order, Isabelle Cheviot, JayJay Moyet, Kei Frequency, Hard Rust, Kron Ray, Jadelyn McAuley, Ali Fox, Brunella Voelisa and many many others!

So...you guessed it. Go get Aroused!, if you haven't yet! Not that I object if you want to get another copy. It's free anyway! As we jingle all the way through the snow, I have to share something about the latest issue of...

Aroused! Magazine



Every magazine that came out this month has a healthy (or unhealthy, perhaps!) dose of Xmas sugariness plaguing it, and Aroused makes no exception. If you take a peek at the magazine in its introductory pages, dare I say impeccably designed as they are is (by its owner Marika Blaisdale), you can already get a rambling from its current editor-in-name. Yes, what I am getting at, is that I already presented this material in my foreword, and now I am trying desperately not to repeat myself, ok?

Nah, I am kidding! There's always so much to say about Aroused. I will try to be brief , though. Aroused leaves complete freedom to the photographers about their pictures' theme. The results was an issue definitely festive, but that wouldn't make the Grinch even more bilious. In the end, it delivers what is most important about xmas.

And that of course, is boobs. In this case, Ali Fox's.

Oh man, so many talented photographers, so many beautiful models. I was deligthed to give the cover spot to one of those photographers who contributed to the magazine and embodies its spirit in more ways than one, Sandra Palletier. And incidentally with a photoshoot that features her partner, and an accomplished artist on her own, Leinjan Aries. And her second photoshoot....Oh I am not gonna tell you who is with. One person I have to pretty much equate with Xmas this year, for reasons that many of you already know.

Hard for me to tell which shoot I enjoyed the most. Sandra's work stood out, but what about the sublime eroticism captured by Sasquatch Rhino in his shoot with Ali Fox, and 'balanced' by the monochrome tasteful nudes of the lovely Charlottexoxoxo? And Lylah Landar's ace photoshoot? Pure inspiration and the level of naughty that you can find only in a magazine like Aroused. And Melina Jameson again gave to the magazine an invaluable contribution, with her playful erotic holiday cards-like pics. I am thankful to her for her work and support from the bottom of my heart.

But I am not gonna use this space to give my Fallon-esque "thank you notes" to each and every person who appeared here: they deserve it, but my appreciation is just one little opinion from one person: they deserve much more to be seen in their art, in their appearance, in their work and being. Especially those who made their magazine debut as photographers with this issue! Angie Wild (Oyo Mills), Chrissy Zipper, Jenny Starveling: you all know them, and if you don't, great, check their work out and you'll be fans, I am sure.

I know I am!

And the special mention goes to Nicasio Ansar. Why him? Well! Well, of course he brought to the magazine again two photosets, one with one of the most remarkable models on the adult entertainment scene in Ashley Sugarplum, the other putting his photographic talents to the service of one of the most notable personalities, the imaginative and always beautiful Warmanimations Lisa, that we are grateful for her sponsorship throughout the magazine's run.

BUT ALSO, because he decided to host an exhibit dedicated to the magazine, on his sim.
Nica's White Moment sim is one of the many hidden gems of SL. I hope that when you visit the gallery of the magazine you'll take your time enjoying the pictures as an art gallery experience of sorts, something to navigate through, perhaps with a friend (the thoughtful Nica 'hid' a dance machine that will make any of your terpsichorean needs come true), even themed mesh clothing in standard sizes and fitted mesh bodies versions (!). But once you are done, just go outside and have a look at the magnificence that is the sim.




No really, the sim is gorgeous! What do you mean I should have picked a landscape shot? Pfft...

The Pornstars' Rack : Friday the 32nd!

It's Friday the 13th, so which better day to put the highlight on some things that saw the light for Halloween but that I haven't 'reviewed' yet here on the blog. And of course I am talking about...

Aroused! Magazine



Halloween stimulated the creativity of all the artists involved, and it was a real joy, and actually made me a little nervous, to have to deal with such an abundance of excellent photoshoots. Aroused normally doesn't run themes, as it is entirely about the photographers' freedom, but this issue certainly had a distinct otherworldly flow to it.

DoubleDeez Dethly is one of the three sensationally beautiful models shot by Spirit in her 'Tones' photoset. 

It was really a beautiful adventure to put the issue together, and I believe the best tribute I can pay to the artists in it is saying how thankful I am for this - but I don't want to wait till Thanksgiving to make this post, especially because by then the NEW issue of Aroused will be out by then!
I can only say that it was impossible for me not to take this chance to put on the cover the wonderful Tatiana Easterwood in her juicy halloween scene, but it was also great to have on the teaser of the issue a pic from the sublimely crawly shoot Nicasio Ansar did with the, insert redudant adjective here, Ziekling Bunnyhug.



Adele Simondsen managed to sneak into yet another eerie pic and can now add 'Shadow Model' to her credentials.

And really, so many shoots of this issue captured the mood in a perfect way. From the darker side of Halloween with Nakuru's shoot with the bewitching Zynda, Adele Simondsen's moonlit erotica and Luigi Trappatoni's obscure nightmare (featuring also Junah, Erika Thorkveld, Fleur Coco, DarkAngel69 Vig, IlenaAphris, Leena BigBoots, Cindy Frindy, Erika Madazahatter), to the pastel tones of Lylah Landar getting treated with no tricks by Damien Godard in a candy paradise, and Cream Release wearing one costume that certainly makes it hard to keep 'Quiet' and would make her noticed in a desert as well.



For all the Metal Gears fans out there, something that is not just metal.

From the gorgeous colours of the autumn in Lara Dieterle's photoshoot to the ethereal atmospheres of Spirit's shoot with Double Deez, Kristal Kastle and Hyst Vicious, the issue opens with the Erotigacha 5 winner Melina Jameson and closes with a special dedication signed Athena Obviate, to her partner.
And in between, I had the pleasure to show a bit more of a place dear to me and increasingly popular amongst the pornstars crowd, thanks to the effort and talents of their regulars. I am talking of course of Brit-X. You know them for the Topless Tuesday party, for their magazine (latest issue came out yesterday!), and for the absolutely amazing sexiness they set Flickr on fire with, like it was Guy Fawkes on the 5th.

Club, promenade....also carwash and colonic clinic? Dunno! Check out the whole set in the mag to find out! 
Laredo and Paige did an excellent work as photographers, together with the wonderful Kat. Kassner of course.

I am really happy of the reception the magazine got in its release close to Halloween, it has been a real blast: I also received literally dozens of response for this 'ad' my partner invented , promoting a new initiative her naughty mind devised !

The Pornstars' Rack: Earlier this month....

Ok. I did Shameless, SL Connoisseur, Playhouse, Busted, now I need to get to those other very special Halloween issues, like Brit-x's, and Provocative and...I feel like I missed something....Oh shoot!

Aroused! Magazine



Right! It has passed a month nearly, and it would be a bit impolite to not mention on this blog the great work brought to Aroused by all the staff and guest photographers, not to mention the fantastic models they brought in for this. I hope their editor is not mad at me, she is such a moody creature. At least the owner is cool.

Most models were brought in willingly, I swear.

I have the pleasure to be involved with Aroused even more closely than the past, with my beloved and exceptionally talented partner Marika being kind enough to let me play with her creation a bit. The formula she wanted and designed for the magazine was simple: photography based, reliant on a solid base of professional and gifted staff photographer, with the support of outstanding external contributions from guests. What Aroused always offered, is freedom for the artist. That is something I always loved about it, and that is something that I try to keep doing even without the active partecipation, instincts and steady hand Marika has.

I am really proud of the shoots that appeared in this issue. I am obviously proud to have a real SLebrity and one of those people who enriched the experience of many users who through the years visited her sim and enjoyed her blogging endeavours, Kaelyn Alecto. If possible, though, I am even MORE proud of the other set by Nicasio Ansar appearing on the magazine. And that's because it was a beautiful collaboration between the photographer and a model from the adult arts scene, and because the pathos and sensuality that resulted is just sublime. Stacia Reinoir is one of those models whose unconventional beauty is worth being explored by more photographers, and I look forward to her next time on the magazine already.

I said it already in my previous post and in the 'editor note': giving 'magazine honours' to crystaline talents who haven't been featured before is indeed a thrill. Lylah Landar and Gala Lameth are two names that come to mind. Lylah's flickr is so good, I don't really have anything to add about it. Self evident, pure naughty awesomeness. Gala is a total discovery, and to find more about her, you have to drop by at her place. . She has her artwork out, and it's her playground. You have to meet her to understand, her exhuberant personality defies conventional definition, and it makes only sense that just a few hours after meeting her, I knew she'd be on the magazine, with her never seen before artwork.

I'd have a lot to say abou each individual photoshoot, and perhaps this wouldn't be a bad space to do so. I could say something amusing about the 'back to school' shoot by Gabriel featuring Cindy and Mysti, I could explain why I didn't use one of the fantastic photos provided by Zuby portraying her beloved Melanie in what I judge one of her best shoots to this day - and she made so many great ones. I could and would go on for long about how happy I was to see one of the most enchanting models in our scene, Adele Simondsen, earn her photo chops by shooting the beautiful Rachel Avro in what is the last photoset before her current makeover.

Of course, Sandra and her talent. I absolutely loved to have a chance to feature Cream Release in this issue thanks to Sandra, and I don't have to explain why. And Sandra deserves special mention herself for her constant contribution to the magazine, and for what she went through. I will make sure to do that, here on the blog.
Speaking of blog, I am truly delighted that Serenity, who doesn't think of herself as a photographer, not one nearly as good as she is at least, accepted to contribute to the magazine. And I really am tempted to go a bit down Memory Lane about Louise Kristan-Faulds and her set, that involves a great number of people on the scene (Curtis Trevellion, Jenny Starveling, Mandy Love, Marika Blaisdale, Rachel Swallows, Sasquatch Rhino, Zuby Gloom).

Memory lane because I remember her active and enthusiastic contribution to a now defunct SL magazine. I remember the days of her and Sere working on those sets, dealing with the deadlines and the commitments and I was glad to have her aboard for this experience.
And ultimately, it's what I want to do blogging this stuff: homage the excellent work done by people for projects, and through the imperfect filter of my memory and experiences, make sure that they know they are appreciated and their work was not in vain. It's why people like SL magazines too, incidentally. See your work "out there" is always a giant boost to confidence, and can be gratifying to work with 'a purpose'.

I played a nurse in the movies, I am not nearly as qualified..

I am glad if i managed to give some of these artists if not a purpose, at least a good incentive, and I am looking forward to the next issue! Coming out this week, with Halloween at the doors. It will be heavily influenced by it, of course, but also give you a little escape from all the masquerading. I think all the sets are plenty sexy and...well, allright, I am being partial there. Enjoy this issue, getting it on MP , or IM-ing me or Marika.
There's also the website, but we are gonna discontinue it because, quite frankly, it was becoming a full time job to call the support service of the hosting company and fix problems.
